I called the help line service but the lady who spoke to me was very condescending with her tone and was unable to help. Staff were attentive and efficient and helped hitch up the trailer I rented - actually insisted they do it (likely a liability factor and took photos of the hitch, lighting and chains). Upon return, again the staff was quick, polite and right in there to do the physical work, and ran a receipt out to my truck from the office. Very good rental experience! Too small, no parking, have to drive units over the counter to leave. Drove 15 km, put in 7 litres of fuel (equates to 47l/100km or 6 mpg imperial). That seems ridiculous, even more ridiculous they required me to pay another $8.00 upon return (another 4.6 litres). That makes the gas mileage of this real swell unit 77l/100km or 3.7 mpg). The half tank full return it the same practice you switched to from full return full is a scam to drastically increase your profits and inconvenience your customers. I will do everything possible in the future to rent from ANYONE else but Uscrewed. Another US company that should never have been allowed into Canada.Dave H.

Have you not heard of air shocks. The ride was very hard and every bump was felt. It would be nice if the truck came with a CD player. I think if you want the cabin broom swept there should be a broom in the cabin to use. It was very hard to adjust the mirrors, Power control mirrors!! Would be much easier and quicker to adjust. One should be able to drop off the Van at any in city office. One should be told up front of penalties for bring Van back late, not hidden in the small print. Why is contract printed so small a font, making it hard for those who need glasses or can not read the small print not able to go over the contract. This rental in London was a Plan B for me. I was suppose to rent a 10 foot truck one-way from Moncton, NB September 2, 2022 but you called me the day before to let me know that you only had a 26 foot truck for me. I consider that it would have been IRRESPONSIBLE AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS for me and other drivers on the road to drive that truck. THERE IS NO CLEAR INDICATION ON YOUR WEBSITE THAT YOU DON'T GARANTEE THE SIZE OF THE TRUCK YOUR CLIENTS ARE SELECTING. THIS IS VERY BAD SERVICE ON MANY LEVELS. They were short staffed when I picked up the vehicle, There was a lose trailer hitch and the fuses went causing substantial inconvenience and luckily no injuries or damage. I expected a discount for the troubles but received no recognition of the issues. That was disappointing! On site personal we're good. Vehicle I received had a broken AC knob. They said it worked, took a while to get the vehicle defogged, AC/heat worked intermittently. Would have been nice if I could have been given a closer drop off to my final destination. I had to pay for an extra 29 miles because of the pick up/drop off locations I was given.Steven V.

Rate went up 4 times in the roughly 2 years I rented. Also staff were normally rude/ unpleasant to deal with ( with the exception of kat. She was always helpful and nice. My unit was near the bay used to prep/receive trucks so I was often rudely asked to move vehicle even after I explained I would be 20 seconds . Also yelled at to keep off the grass that was brown and looked horrible. Ive dealt with your service quite a few times in the past few years. Ive enjoyed using your service and your equipment has always been top notch. My complaint is When I picked up the truck drove to Brockville Ont. and back to London. When I brought the vehicle back and I over filled the gas tank to put a full tank in. With the price of gas I feel I should have been given a gas credit or a bit of a reduction towards my bill. I have to do another trip to Brockville at the end of this month. Upon returning I was informed by the office that there was a dent on the back bumper. After viewing the damage. Apparently it's my fault for not pointing it out when doing the walk round. To be honest it was something I didn't take into account it was so minor that I didn't notice but when it was brought to my attention. How was I supposed to notice. Even when shown the dent from an angle could not see and would have put it down to wear and tear. It could have been from a prior rental. Was missed by the office. Then they decided to punish me. The service clerk. Tony the night before was very helpful. The young lady the day of pick up was extremely helpful. The vehicle was perfect for the job in hand. I have nothing but praise for UHAUL. But this little incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. If the next person doesn't bring that dent to the officers attention. You could milk that mark forever. My unit got broken I to and was told they cut the fence and when I went there there wasn't even a fence at the back where my unit was. So the employee lied to me and claimed false actions. And there's not proper security and I did my own quick investigation of the place and learned more then the employees were willing to admit or even acknowledge. I was told I would be charged $2.41 per litre but no one told me anything under 1/4 tank has an insane price. So when I went to dropped it off I was told I would be charged $96 unless I put it back to 1/4 tank. What a scam to force customers to refill to 1/4. Why even have the rule? Why not just fill it and be honest with customers and say they have to pay out the ass if they don't refill? Definitely won't rent a uhaul again.Adam R.

I had to look online to find it. As I had used this facility in the past. I had storage there for a Cpl years. I called as was in desperate need of Storage again and Kristina was able to set me up with the best she had for my needs right now! As I was enlightened to see she had a job promotion I congratulated her as I believe she was a very fitting candidate as she was always a very hard working individual when I was there in the past! Paying for a drive up unit should mean you are able to drive up during business hours at your convenience. However, where my unit was located, Uhaul employees used as a “hub” to park and service their moving trucks. There was never a time that I arrived on site and didn’t find obstruction in front of my unit. There was also times I would be loading and unloading and asked to move to make way for their vehicles. If the layout of the business cannot be re-evaluated then the price for those units impacted should be adjusted for the inconvenience. Most of the employees were friendly however they could be more mindful of the requests they would make to customers, as I was always made to feel that I am the one inconveniencing them when that is not the case. Other customers do not have to deal with confrontation each time they access their units and that shouldn’t be the case for the rest of us on that end of the strip.
