It was the worst experience and I wasted 3 hours trying to get a truck and couldn’t because of the system being down at the location and no trucks at other u hauls were available. No compensation and TERRIBLE customer service with agents that couldn’t help! No offer to make it right! Now I don’t have helpers to help me move and I had 4 of them on the day I was supposed to get the truck!

I sat outside for 20 minutes when returning the vehicle and no one ever came out. The sogn indicated to wait with the vehicle and someone would come out. I went in and the man at the counter said to just leave it. Didnt offer to come out and go over the truck. The employee vibe of drop off and pick up is that of annoyance.
I drove 12 miles total and was charged for 3 gallons of gas. If the truck gets 4 miles to the gallon, this would make sense. However, I sincerely doubt that is the case. I feel overcharged and taken advantage of with this.
A 29.95 per day rental turned into a $90 expense… triple what was advertised

I have rented from this location 4 times prior to yesterday's (Thursday) experience.
It was the best experience Ive had here. Ellen / Eileen was very helpful at the front desk and provided great service.
The drop off was very easy too (normally I'd have to wait for several minutes) but yesterday the gentleman was eager to help me right away,
The only thing that was odd was that the gas gauge was not truly on "half tank" when I drove out of the lot but because of the overall pick-up experience I didnt mind.

My receipt is under the name of the man who was hired to unload the U box. This is a problem because I don’t have a receipt in my name. Also it’s a problem because he’s unable to get the code. He needs so that he can get paid from me. I don’t know what went wrong at the Depew U-Haul station, but it’s making things confusing. This has nothing to do with the U-Haul station in New Mexico, where our UB box originated. also, whoever made this little survey you want us to answer yes or no to a two part question was the service friendly and helpful. I don’t know who we’re talking about the people who unloaded I mean maybe they were friendly, but maybe they weren’t helpful so now I have to answer that and it doesn’t represent what I wanna tell you. So maybe you need to ask if they were friendly and then in another question ask if they were helpful.

The service was quick and efficient. They gave me 2 quotes depending on the mileage I go and they gave me the better price when I returned the truck. I forgot to refill the gas and they gave me the opportunity to refill before I returned it which saved me more money. I liked the service.

Carl at the 6161 Transit Rd Depew NY location was exceptional with his many tasks that he had to perform.
There were several people that he waited on for different needs. He was able to manage the work load and still give excellent customer service.
People who know how to handle demanding people and know the different aspects of their job are hard to find these days. That needs to be acknowledged.

As a senior citizen, most of us do not "do" apps and the app was not loading on my Android phone. (It kept saying "Loading,...Loading...)
Mara was professional and caring, she assisted me to get the rental contract completed in a manner that satisfied an older person who does not use apps.
Mara provided clear instructions and follow-through.
Mara deserves a merit increase and recognition for her customer-service focus.
My only comment is that Mara could smile more! Thank you.

I paid for this storage unit for several years and when the decision came for my family to clean it out and consolidate what was in there, we were unable to use the dumpster located at the facility to get rid of what we were no longer keeping. After paying several thousand dollars to use the storage unit to then have to rent a truck to dispose of our garbage soured me on the whole experience and I will not recommend U-Haul storage to people as there are many other options available.

I came here specifically because online it says if you rent a truck, you get a month free of the storage unit then when I got there, I was told it was online thing only and not at that location. then I was specifically told that I could come and go at any time throughout the night into my storage unit that I had paid for and when I got there, it was locked and closed and I had to wait till six in the morning to get my stuff into the storage unit. I was only there for 13 days to use the storage unit was very unhappy with the whole situation. I feel like I should get my money back or some of it back because I wasn’t even there for a month and I paid $150 for a storage unit that I didn’t agree to I asked for one that you can pull up to and she completely ignored me and gave me one in the way back corner that you couldn’t pull up to. I will ever come back to this location or use it as storage unit at U-Haul ever again and I won’t recommend it to anybody ever!! Very unhappy and disappointed with everything here

I really appreciate the employees at this facility. They were super friendly and very helpful. I’m in a big transition in my life and wasn’t quite sure how to handle moving, but they went out of their way to help me and answer all my questions! I think the person I spoke with the most is named Ally? They were literally the best! And the person who works outside collecting the Uhuals, very nice and super hardworking! It’s seems like it’s always busy at this location, but he always keeps the line/drop off moving fast! Will definitely recommend this location to anyone moving!

Only negative comment I have is that management of this U-haul facility clearly allows people to rent their units as a places of business, which has always been illegal in other states where we have lived. One business unit (I saw them working and moving product every time I went to my storage unit.) is right next to the large access door, so ingress/egress was always very difficult for me; and their cars were always blocking that dock door as well. However, I’m not giving a lower rating because everyone was kind and respectful whenever I asked them to move; I simply should not have had to do that every time (literally) I went to my storage unit.

I was super disappointed in the storage facility. My unit was covered in cobwebs and debris. It was absolutely freezing inside with no good lighting so it’s dark in my unit. If I hadn’t just paid $130 for a U-Haul!to move it all in, I wouldn’t have unloaded all of my belongings into the space. I will definitely be using the next month to move somewhere better. I moved from a storage unit that was $75 a month, indoors, beautiful facility to this for almost double the price. Not worth the price- I’m very upset.

Great site and the staff was awesome. However making the reservation was a pain. I was told that I could do it online but the site will allow multiple ppl to make the same reservation. So I called - waited over 2 hours on hold and finally got to talk to someone. This made me think that I had the reservation. When I went into the store the next day, the staff told me the same thing - I still might not have it since the system allows multiple ppl to book the same space. Luckily I did get it - but that’s a really frustrating and upsetting system.

Did not have the storage size that I had already reserved weeks ahead of time. Not sure why the system would let someone make a reservation for a unit that is not available. Very frustrating after driving for 3 days to move.

I have always had a pleasant experience at this facility! The only reason I moved out was it was no longer necessary for me to house my belongings. The people at the registers were always very friendly and helpful. I would choose to do business with again, and will definitely recommend them to friends!

There was one problem. In this facility, there is a drive-in option to get you out of the weather. Very nice, out of the weather and close to the storage unit. The issue is the floor is finished in a gloss polish. When I stepped out of my truck, my foot slipped and I fell to the ground. My while I understand the effort to keep the facility clean, I would suggest changing the floor finish to a "sand imbedded or textured" surface. Other than that, great people, gre3at site.

Used the "rent now" feature online to receive "free" disc lock. Unit was locked with a padlock and no "free" lock was provided. Employees stated that it was not included and I had to purchase a lock for $10 - 12. Other than the awful 1st attempt to get my unit, things are great. Just glad I didn't try to access the unit after 7 without any assistance for this debacle.

I had no trouble moving out. But I could not understand why my
storage unit was so unbelievably cold and damp. I found the lights
in the hallway going off very annoying. Otherwise everything was o.k.
