When I returned the trailer a member of the UHaul staff came and unhooked the trailer. He checked the cargo area for cleanliness, took down the number and told me he would check it back in. He said I would receive a text or email. I did not receive a text or email till the next day after my CC company alerted me to a charge where the card was not present. I spent the better part of the next morning explaining to the location that my trailer was retuned on time but they did not check it in till 24 hours after I dropped it off. Conveniently the price was almost identical to what it was supposed to be but I knew my card had already been charge in Hattiesburg (the point of origin).

I had an auto dollie and needed it to be released and given to U-Haul; however, at first, it was unknown if they wanted to accept the dollie and then later, the truck. The dollie was left and the truck a couple of days later - with no problem; however, I was charged a fee for extgra mileage - which was unexpected to me and arbitrarily taken from my bank account which I find not at all good since I did not receive any paperwork apprising me of this very thing. I told the person that helped me, the location back and forth. I told her it was 25 miles to get there and 25 miles to get back. Still she only put 25 after asking me multiple times. I did not get a refund bc honestly I didn't wanted to waste my time any longer

Multiple mix ups on type of equipment and pick up times, locations. Most of it caused by UHaul.com. I paid extra to drop the truck in Cashiers, NC, very near my destination. I was offered a "deal" discounting the rental by approx $90 to drop off in Mountain City, GA. I declined. Rental documents sent then assigned me to Otto, NC, about the same distance drive as Mountain City, GA! Staff at the Tulane location couldn't help. I'll check out Penske next time

I chose the “truck share 24/7” option; upon arrival I found that there were two other vans parked behind the van I was assigned so I was forced to go inside which is not what I wanted to do during a pandemic, especially when not all of the employees were wearing masks. Instead of simply moving the other two vans out of the way, the male employee on site decided to try to change the van I was assigned which took far too long and turned the entire process into a horrible experience. I will definitely not be returning to this location for future rentals.

UHaul offers contactless pickup and drop off but their technology failed at this. So I still had to go inside; wait in line a long time with people and then go through a tedious process to rent a truck that was I was supposed to be able to just drive off with. Same thing when I returned it. It's not like it's a huge problem, but it was a waste of time and I really am trying to deal with people the least during covid. The truck worked fine, however it was not in great condition. The cab doors both did not close completely unless slammed hard. So hard that it always took multiple tries. The knob was missing from the driver's window mechanism and I could not get the rear view mirror on the driver side to move/adjust.

I don't know why this location has such a bad review on Google! I've used this location twice now and each time has been a great experience. I've had both a man and a woman working the front desk (whoever worked 10/1/20 AM shift is a delight) and each time they've been courteous, knowledgeable, and personable. The guys doing the check in and check out outside are really helpful and nice too. I've worked with Penske rentals and have faced some communication errors both in person and over-the-phone; neither were huge deals, but enough to make me look elsewhere. I encourage you to do the same and ignore the low reviews you see online. Thanks to those who work at this location for making both of my moving days significantly less stressful :)

Very easy process. I rented 10' moving van and an auto transport trailer. The guy that assisted in the hookup of the trailer was very helpful in giving pointers and what to look out for. Would do the whole thing over again.

Lack of social distancing, mask wearing, organization, and cleanliness extremely disappointing and honestly frightening. I had a similar experience at the St. Claude location. U-Haul needs to clean up their act in New Orleans.

Y'all over charged me. I made it back before y'all closed and everything. My bill went from $46 dollars to 97 and some change. Y'all double charged me the safe travel fee. Not happy at all. How does 1995. Turn to 97 dollars. Definitely a rip . It won't happen again. I'll carry the furniture on my back first before coming back to y'all. Not satisfied at all!!!!!

Extremely disorganized and frustrating . The equipment I reserved was not available and I had to get a smaller truck. I was told tp pick up in a location that was 45 minutes from where I requested and which did not have the equipment promised. Had to make numerous calls to finally locate a smaller truck than I reserved in the area I requested.. I ordered and paid for 12 packing pads but when I drove to my apartment and opened the back of the truck there were no pads. I reported this to the Tulana Blvd New Orleans location and have not been refunded the cost of the pads. I reserved a storage unit in Tampa. When I arrived they could not find my reservation (although I had the confirmation email with the reservation number) and I had to go through the entire process of renting another unit. Very poorly run operation and very disappointing.

A few things that i noticed need maintained Wipers need replacing. Engine oil symbol was on & beeping. Low on oil. Door key lock sticks when using key to unlock Odor inside cab. Need sanitizing! Remove u haul hand truck. I was asked if i needed one. I replied that i did not need it but when i got to location to start loading it was there. (Takes up room) Last thing which was my fault that i didn't check before i left station was gas gauge. Was not on full. I put 16 total miles on truck And had to put 5 gals of gas in it. Other then that it ran fine.

Requested and paid for a flat dolly, it was not provided. Online inspection is good but, you need to add a question to remind the customer to verify if all additional associated equipments or supplies are in the rent truck. Thank you

The employees were all so very friendly and sweet and helpful. But overall the location seems a bit unorganized. Ms. Ruth was great. Tyree was sweet (in return). However, I booked online and the directions were not clear at all. So I had to wait 1.5 hours despite doing online booking. Corporate took 30 minutes to respond to my messages.

The first representative was very unprofessional. He was rude and used profanity towards me as well as the other employees. There was two ladies that were very pleasant and apologize for his behavior. Krystena did her best to help when I returned the vehicle. Along with having many other issues that day. I have not received my refund. I think it is important that all customer feel valued and respected.

Made a reservation online. Showed up to pick up truck and was charged double. Then when I called to inform them I needed it a day longer, I was told I HAD to return it then. 2 things wrong with that... First, I still had my things in it so it wasn't going to be a possibility. Second, they already charged me for the extra day. The people are slow moving and not the sharpest tools in the shed.

The young lady at the desk and young man that helped me outside were great and did their job well. The older lady at the check-in was very rude, and I will never go to that location again. On the side of your "policies," I don't plan to use Uhaul when I move in a few weeks for a couple of reasons: I did everything online including pay and still got stuck waiting for almost 45 minutes, wow, what's the point of doing anything online? I still had to sign things, answer questions and even bug my mom at work for no apparent reason. I was never told until the last minute that I had to have someone on the ready to answer a call. That's the stupidest thing, I am a grown man who paid ahead of time, you have my contact info and credit card. Why should you bother my wife or my mom at work?

I'm writing this from my car in the customer parking lot after returning my truck because I didn't want to wait a single second to say how impressed I am with the team at the 2801 Tulane Ave location! The folks in the office were professional, kind and efficient. But the stand out was Kaylen on the vehicle team. Kaylen was so great, really going out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with the truck, super helpful and patient when I was having trouble with the inspection app, and managing the return process with grace and professionalism. Kaylen is an EXCELLENT service rep and has made it so I will ALWAYS come to this location for any future truck rental needs. Thank you!

Train the female rep that was there on that day. She was horrible and had poor customer service. She talked to me with an attitude and was very rude. I even told one of the male employees with “dread lock” hairstyle about her rudeness. He apologized and tried to assist me. Unfortunately she had my blood boiling but I remained cool.

The truck I rented did not have a full tank of gas. The gas gauge was showing a little les than 3/4 of the tank. The lady who took care of me told me just bring it back with the same amount of gas. Before leaving the yard I took a picture of the dashboard Showing the gas gauge and mileage. Drove the truck for les than 20 miles put about 3.5 gallon of gas returned it to the yard and told the gentleman who checked in the truck and explained to him about amount of gas when I took delivery of the truck and even showed him the pictures that I had and even took new pictures of the gauges in front of him when he was checking the truck. He said he would email the final receipt because they had problem with their lines and he couldn't give me a receipt. He emailed me the receipt later that day and I was charged almost $18 for 5.5 gallons of gas.

The One lady that did work at the desk was told she had needed help she said she was good because she was paid by the hour but this situation was the customer problems and not hers... I spent 45 minutes renting a trailer and what that kind of attitude with all those people working there in uhaul uniforms doing everything but helping customers is not good...

Terrible customer service. They do not have enough staff to help everyone in a timely fashion inside. Outside the employees stood around talking while several customers waited for trailer hook ups. My trailer was not secured properly. When I started loading it, it popped off and scratched my truck.

My reservation was for 8 am. I arrived exactly at 8 am. I opted for the mobile option to pick up my equipment as I am 8 1/2 months pregnant and trying to be cautious because of the virus. I checked in and verified all my information. It told me to see an agent. The line to rent a truck was out of the door with about 10 people inside and 2 outside. I proceeded to a man waiting in the bay and asked him where I was to go to get my key. He said in a very rude way, "can't help ya ma, go inside". I went inside and held up my mobile phone like the instructions said and waited for about 5-10min with no acknowledgment. I walked to the desk and they said I had to wait in line. This is now about 8:20 am. I wait in line until 8:35 and it has not moved a single customer. I walk back up to the desk because I have to leave and be to my destination by 9 am. I have been waiting for 45min at this point. A gentleman who worked there who was not even on the clock stopped and asked the lady where the key was. She said to him annoyed," out there" and pointed to the door. He then escorted me to the door and back to the bay to the man I asked in the first place about the key. He had it in his pocket the entire time! I was visibly upset at this point it is now 8:50 am. The man began to argue with me that it was not his job and how was he supposed to know and I told him that I didn't need to argue I just needed to leave since my appointment was at 9 and it was now 8:55 am. He wouldn't give me the keys he gave them to the gentleman and then he gave them to me. I got in the truck finished the mobile check-in and left. I got about to min down the road and realized that I didn't check for the dolly's I had requested. I pulled over. Of course, they were not in the truck. I turned around and pulled back into the bay. There was no one there. I waited a few minutes then saw that the dolly's were in the bay and walked over to collect the 2 I had ordered. Then all of a sudden the man came back out that was arguing with me and said I can't have them and he needed to see my contract. I showed him and he was told me. "oh well you need to go inside and get a print out to give me. The line is still outside. and I can still see the people I was behind the first time still in line and only maybe 2 spaces from when I left. I told him I could not wait that long that it was now 9:10 am and I was incredibly late so to take pictures of the serial numbers and let me go. He then proceeded to argue with me. The gentleman who had helped me earlier was still there and told him to do as I requested. I then cared both dollies across the parking lot by myself at 8 1/2 months pregnant while this man yelled obscenities at me I will NEVER EVER rent from this location again! So unprofessional!

I was actually the opening Manager before the storage units were built. We worked out of the temporary trailer when everything was manual before computerized. That was in the mid 70’s. It was great to use the service of the facility that launched my career. Than you and I will love to refer people to your facility.

Staff is very nice but this place has a major pest problem. Most of the items in my unit had to be thrown away or deep cleaned as it was covered in rat feces and urine. Traps aren't helping!

Overall I think the experience of using Uhaul U boxes for a long distance move was good. Although upon arrival my couch had a hole in it and some of the furniture was scuffed all in all not bad at all

The one and only reason I am not eating the facility as excellent is because my boxes and mattress where covered with mice/rat pellets of poop. And, we found a dead - the unit had the worse smell ever

This place has a severe mouse and roach problem. They will NOT warn you beforehand. Many of my items were damaged. I am thoroughly disgusted! There is no excuse for such poor maintenance!

Moved out on the 15 of June but was still charged the entire month . I should been refund for half month rent of storage .

Storage paid up until 24th I moved on 2nd , was denied prorated rent. I was told by 2 phone reps it should be prorated. Safe to say U guys making double money on the same unit.
