I was worried that I didnt follow regular return procedure through app and that I overestimated my miles. But I was charged only for the miles I drove and not doing the 'return my truck' didn't cause problems. Appreciate that it was a hassle free experience

JAMIE JI rented a van online, after walking around trying to find it for 5 minutes, we went inside and I had to wait another 5 minutes to even be greeted. They immediately told me they didn't have anything and blamed the online system for renting out something they didn't have. After I pushed, they looked into other options and were able to find me a small truck. The truck REEKED of weed and I had to drive with the windows down to avoid a contact high, it was sooooo bad. (Did I mention it was 20 degrees outside). Now I get my receipt and they charged me for gas, even though I returned it with 3/4 of a tank and I got it with 5/8!!! I put more gas in the tank than you gave me and you charge me, after not having my vehicle, giving me a nasty smelling truck and when I try to call the office I get a recording that says "we are having technical problems, please call again later."

HEATHER L(1) The first 26' truck had a blown tire. Didn't know it until we drove away. That should have been known/seen by the Uhaul employees before giving it to us. So we immediately drove it back and exchanged it for a second truck. (2) The second 26' truck had both of its front tires almost blown. Like, they were so bald and the tread was so worn that there was threading coming out on both tires. That was a dangerous situation, and again, should have been seen by employees and never presented to a customer to drive away. I asked for another (third) truck. (3) The third 26' truck started kind of funky. Like, it wouldn't just "start up" like normal. It would sound like it was about to die, and then at the last second start. But it did always start on the first try though, so I didn't think it was a problem. Well, on my way back from the move, while on my way back to return the truck, after I filled it up with gas, I went to start it, and it was dead. This was after just having driven it for the past 40 miles, so there's no way it should have had a problem starting. I never had left any lights on or anything causing it to drain the battery. I used roadside assistance and it was about 60 minutes from the time I had the issue to the time the truck was jumped by roadside assistance and I could drive away to return the vehicle. What I had imagined was just quirks with driving a large truck (sounding difficult while starting it) turns out was in fact an actual problem. Again, there's no way that this same sound of difficulty starting was not noticed by an employee who pulled up the truck for me to take to begin with. Like, come on, Uhaul. You wasted a lot of my time because of preventable delayed maintenance issues on three of your trucks. I've learned I need to be attentive to the detail (apparently moreso than the employees) and to take more pictures and ask more questions. (4) Other than the 3 issues above, the people themselves were kind and generally attentive. The actual driving of the truck and usefulness experience was great. The price was fair. The ease of checking it out and back in was good too.

GEORGE JMy credit card was charged twice for the rental. The employee that hooked up the trailer was very good. However, the employee that I talked with when returning the trailer did not seem to care. When I told him my name and that I put the trailer in the location I took it from, he said I was good to go. He didn't bother to check me in. The trailer was not checked in for two days and I was charged for 1.5 days when I had the trailer for about 3 hours. I will not use the location again.

LL T | Overall ExperienceThank goodness for the Meadowbrook Rd Location. Was suppose to P/U at a satellite location. Owner was not present (operating his primary business). Had the trailer there. Finally spoke with owner after a day of trying. Did not have the furniture or box dollys or furniture pads. He got frustrated and told me to go elsewhere. Went up to the Meadowbrook lane facility (which is where I wanted to go in the first place but the reservation center would not cooperate!). They were immensely helpful, transferred my reservation to their store and got me on my way with everything I needed! Moral of story, DO NOT USE SATELLITE LOCATIONS, PERIOD! I have had great experiences when dealing with real U-Haul stores many times over the last 7 years and will keep coming back.

I tried to rent this type of trailer twice in two different weeks uhaul only had two? at that location. The uhaul employee sent me out to hookup the trailer myself even though he was not busy.

After 3 calls back and forth the lady told me she would call the location and straighten it out. She called back 5 minutes and said everything was good and I could pick up the trailer .

I then received an email telling me I needed to pay my rent Which I emailed back that I gave been out of my unit and turned in my key since September 23 as I knew the rent was due on the 24th, and I knew I could get a unit where my other things are for $40 vs $114. My unit for the $40 is a 5x10. So there was no way I was paying $114 for that tiny unit. I then got treating email to be assessed late fees on top of rent. Earlier I apparently went over on my miles was told when I returned the truck that I was good to go. Then I see where you took $40 extra besided the $31 I owed out of my checking account without notice, as I checked my emails at the time I seen you took the money out and there was none. I called and the manager said the would have it turned which it was about 10 business days later and after my automatic payments bounced due to the extra $40 that caused bounced check fees of $20 2x's and bounce check fees on my automatic payments. So taking this extra $40 ending up costing me an extra $80. So no I will only use you if I have to and nor recommend you to anyone.

We were told there was a 7x5 storage locker and it was air controlled. We were quoted 75.00. When I got there the other uhaul facility was a mile away and with the coronavirus I did not want to be going everywhere. I purchased a 12x5 unit. For 109.00 a month. This part I was very upset because we were given different info. The employees at the uhaul were very professional and nice. I would like a response as I am very angry about the inconsistent pricing and info. Your call center gives out verses the actual information that is given out.
