Would not recommend to anyone. Truck was very filthy inside & out! Gas cap was missing so they put a wrong one on off another truck. Called to tell them about cap light on and being very dirty they refused to let me talk to the manager and hung up. Candy all over which caused a infestation of ants in cab, along with drinks that had been spilt all over console. Very disgusting. Ended up taking too uhaul center on Allen Rd in Peoria IL and manager came out and put the right gas cap on and personally cleaned it up and out. This truck had not been checked out before sending me on my way for 1250 miles. I would suggest for no one to use uhaul at Meadowbrook & University St in Peoria IL. Employees were also very rude when I called and refused to let me speak. 1750.00 for my trip over 1000.00 in fuel 1250 mile is pretty ridiculous!Nancy L.

When using the uhaul.com/share app to return the truck, I found a lot of technical difficulties. Taking a picture of the cab, then taking a picture of the cargo bay of the truck - must be completed within moments of each other. If you delay for more than 5 minutes, the app detects that the picture isn't new enough, and you must retake them. Both. This happened repeatedly to me, and I had to do this in three cycles as my phone was having trouble taking pictures - causing an unavoidable delay of a few minutes between pictures. (Something related to how Google image processing saves images) ________________________________ Furthermore, I had reserved the truck earlier in the day and was hoping to pick it up quickly and get on the road - but there was a line of customers inside the store - It must have been a busy point in the day because it took about a half hour to process those customers and then get to my pre-reserved rental. This was not a great delay, because it shifted our entire timeline for the day. _____________________________Christopher K.

Good morning, the U-Haul rental went fine. The location and the people are fine. The truck was a little dirty on the inside, but in particular the air conditioning went out two hours into a 6 Hour drive that we then had to drive back the next day, it was a very unpleasant tow days in a very hot truck.Charles C.

The 24/7 pick up I was supposed to have was never set up. I waited at the store over 2.5 hours on hold waiting on hold with uhaul for an operator to pick up the phone only to be forced to come back the next morning. Then I brought the equipment back a day early and was still charged for 2 days instead of 1. It took uhaul over a week to get the paperwork processed and recharge my checking account. I have NEVER had service this bad with uhaul.Lori M.

The guy who checked us in (white, middle aged, heavyset)... was VERY rude & made a bunch of inappropriate "jokes"... for example suggesting that children should have shock collars. It was very uncomfortable for both my daughter and myself. Will not return.Sarah D.

I needed an enclosed trailer and went to this (my local) U-haul location. I noticed 4 enclosed trailers in the parking lot. After I told The person behind the counter that I need an enclosed trailer for couple hours, he asked me if I have a reservation, and stated that everything on-site has been reserved and the this is their busiest weekend of the year and they have no equipment available for walk ins. I thanked him and went outside. I went online to see which is the nearest location with a trailer available, and to my surprise, that location showed units available. I made a reservation, went back inside, and told the same man that I have a reservation for an enclosed trailer. The gentleman (older with white beard) became very upset that I did this, and simply told me â€œyou better be back by 8 am!â€ He also told me, â€œTrailer is in the back. Go hook it yourself.â€ I waited outside for over 30 minutes and as No one came to help me, I followed his instructions, hooked the trailer myself, and left. After returning the same day, a different employee apologized, said â€œexcuse him, he is too old.â€ and proceeded to tell me that he never made a rental agreement, and that now we need to do the paperwork.Dimitar A.

I had no issue with the truck or with my pick up of the truck. My issue was with drop off. The store hrs were posted online and on the door of the store that they closed at 8pm, I get there at 745p and everything is locked and even though there are people still in the store, they won't let me in. I ended up using mobile check out, which was not an issue. I understand sometimes store hours change, you're short staffed, etc. However, a simple sign on the door that hrs had changed or that they had to close early would have been great.Sarah R.

I offloaded the trailer myself and checked in my truck. There was no one there to return the equipment I used. I have used several Uhaul equipment and plan to do in the future but I would hesitate to suggest Uhaul to family or friends.WILLIAM T.

My reservation was at 10:30, by the time I actually got my vehicle it was 11 am. Then there was a big dent in the number which was not accurately documented before I received it. To make matters worse when I finally got my receipt after the return I was charged wrong. The milage was off. I did report that and a gentleman quickly fixed my invoice but still, not sure why it was wrong in the first place. This place was just too busy, seemed very disorganized at our pick up.Patricia V.

I lost the key to my unit and explained that I haven’t even used the storage unit. I asked them to just cut the lock and bill me for the month I had used it. The manager refused and started cussing at me. Telling me that he will continue to bill be until I find my key and get my stuff out. They now say I owe them $1500 in fees. It wasn't explained that I had to take pitchers of the unit and go on line and dhow I was out of my unit. I then received an email telling me I needed to pay my rent Which I emailed back that I gave been out of my unit and turned in my key since September 23 as I knew the rent was due on the 24th, and I knew I could get a unit where my other things are for $40 vs $114. My unit for the $40 is a 5x10. So there was no way I was paying $114 for that tiny unit. I then got treating email to be assessed late fees on top of rent. Earlier I apparently went over on my miles was told when I returned the truck that I was good to go. Then I see where you took $40 extra besided the $31 I owed out of my checking account without notice, as I checked my emails at the time I seen you took the money out and there was none. I called and the manager said the would have it turned which it was about 10 business days later and after my automatic payments bounced due to the extra $40 that caused bounced check fees of $20 2x's and bounce check fees on my automatic payments. So taking this extra $40 ending up costing me an extra $80. So no I will only use you if I have to and nor recommend you to anyone.KATHERINE J. | Overall Experience

The only thing I was very upset with was when my girlfriend and I called the call center, we were told one thing and the prices were cheaper than what was posted when we went to purchase the storage unit. We were told there was a 7x5 storage locker and it was air controlled. We were quoted 75.00. When I got there the other uhaul facility was a mile away and with the coronavirus I did not want to be going everywhere. I purchased a 12x5 unit. For 109.00 a month. This part I was very upset because we were given different info. The employees at the uhaul were very professional and nice.
