Bad experience all the way around. I dropped off two days early and they seemed too busy to help. Barley took my name and told me to go outside and wait for someone to unhook me. Waited another 20 minutes and they had me back in the trailer to a very narrow spot, it took several tries while the "helper" stood there with his hands in his pockets. I recieved no paperwork, no thank you and no confirmation that I even dropped off the trailer so I felt the need to contact customer service just to let someone know where the trailer was.MATTHEW M.

I preregistered so when I arrived it would be ready for pick-up. I waited a long time in line (only one worker at the register) as the CC reader wasnt working or something. Then that worker left and I had to wait for another worker came and couldnt find my reservation. He finally found it and told me I didn't need as many furniture pads or the dolly I reserved. I had to argue with him to get the dolly - which was in terrible working order and made stains all over the carpet from the wheels. He told me I would not need more than 6 furniture pads so I agreed but it turned out I should have gotten the 12 that I reserved.Andrew S.

U-haul guaranteed the tow dolly would be at a location just 1 mile from our home. Then at Midnight, they sent a note saying I would need to go 20 miles out of my way to pick it up. One brake / turn signal light intermittently did not work. I am still waiting on my $50.00 " guarantee" refund.Tom W.

The inside of the truck was very nasty. We used a container of sanitizing wipes in the parking lot of U-haul before we could take the truck. You'd think that in a pandemic that cleanliness would be important to any establishment. I checked in with my smartphone, to save time, but when I went in to get the key I had to wait a half hour (witch cut into my rental time) to get the key. The service rep was holding it while having a long conversation with the costumer at the counter. I will use a different location in the future. This was a very bad experience.Leon T.
The workers were all rude except for 1. The trailer They tried to tell me that I couldn't tow anything with my explorer, even though I have towed the same trailer I was referring before, from Uhaul, from that store. The trailer that I was given had a flat tire that I asked about. The guy hooking up the trailer said, " Oh, it's fine." I decided to check the pressure. It wouldn't even read 10 psi. He then proceeded to over fill all of the tires by 10 psi over maximum. He said, "it's better that way." I was not impressed to say the least. I will never go back to that particular store. The cargo van I reserved was not on the lot. The guys spent more time discussing this amongst themselves than addressing the issue. Eventually, he decided to rent me a 10ft truck "for same price" as the van I reserved. However, my insurance went up from $10 to $14. Also, my fuel expenses were higher. I only drove 29 miles and had to put over $7 in gas in it. The truck looked like it belongs in a junkyard. And overall, the guy was not very professional. I was there over 30 minutes before I finally got the truck. Will not use U Haul again!Angela M.

Checking in online online seems to do nothing to 'speed' the process. I had to tell the person several times I checked in online, and he still asked for my license. I was passed off to three separate people with the 'manager' shouting across several counters at me to hook up to a trailer and come back and complete the contract. I had no idea which trailer, and when I did back up to one the attendant told me it was broken. The next trailer needed a 'jumper' harness to complete the hookup. After that, I followed the attendant back and he proceeded to help someone else instead of finishing the process. There seemed to be three lanes with one empty. To top everything off, employees were not wearing masks though most patrons were. Only one put on a mask later when he saw me waiting to 'finish the contract'. I have used u-haul several times over this past summer to move, help my mother-in-law move, and then help clear out a house for a deceased family member. The process could be drastically improved with a mobile checkout device or clear training on mobile check-in. The place was busy on a Saturday afternoon, and there wasn't a total lack of friendliness, just disjointed service with a lot of waiting. The 5x9 trailer was barely big enough for the mower. The mower had HDAP aggressive tires, but I couldn't back it into the trailer even with diff lock. I had to get a bit of running start to get it in the trailer. Needs some diamond tread or traction after the ramp. I would have rented the 6X10 van trailer; but there is no option for a ramp, and the tie down points are too light. A 7x14 van trailer with a ramp/door would be a nice option for people with 1/2 ton trucks and a towing package.Brian R.
Normally I receive prompt & good service but this was not the case this time. I called 4 times to reserve a van was put on hold, each time waiting 4-5 minutes, finally hanging up. I stood in line for 40 minutes before I got into my van. There was not a single person who wasn't frustrated. The person standing behind me in line was from out of town and wanted propane, she ask me if this was a comedy skit. If this was my first time I would not be back.VICKIE K.

The only thing I was very upset with was when my girlfriend and I called the call center, we were told one thing and the prices were cheaper than what was posted when we went to purchase the storage unit. We were told there was a 7x5 storage locker and it was air controlled. We were quoted 75.00. When I got there the other uhaul facility was a mile away and with the coronavirus I did not want to be going everywhere. I purchased a 12x5 unit. For 109.00 a month. This part I was very upset because we were given different info. The employees at the uhaul were very professional and nice.
