My experience was okay. The staff namely the woman with the General Manager title was less than welcoming upon our arrival. As a manager she should try to show a little more enthusiasm when welcoming customers that are bringing business to her location. Thank you.

Trucks were not clean. Dirtied by the last renter, wet and smelly. Had to change. And the replacement wasn't better. Last renter was heavy smoker and smelly. Ye.t it was locked up and smelled horribly bad. Upon return, attendant claimed gas was about half tank whereas it was only at quarter mark. Thank God I took a photo. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL

When you expect people to do a checklist prior to leaving with a truck, like I did. When corrections are made like an incorrect odometer reading. It should be updated in your system and not rely on the customer to review the information and point out the error before they get overcharged.

I needed to dispose of "metals on my driveway and move some furniture from a friend's place to our home". Renting a suitable truck with a ramp was the most effective way to meet my needs. The staff at the Upper Wentworth, Hamilton location took care of me and my needs. I would recommend this location for your moving needs!

Check in employee was lazy and did not do walk around but just gave key and said submit pictures online which DID NOT WORK TO UPLOAD PICTURES FROM DIGITAL CAMERA!!!! A waste of my time! On return though a different employee was excellent, efficient and very good to deal with and got the rental closed out quickly.

The employee at pickup was nice. Truck worked fine but the gas was not full, and the lock on the back did not work. There was also garbage leftover from the last person who used it. When I told the worker at pickup she just brushed it off and said "that's fine". A working lock seems important when hauling expensive cargo. She was unpleasant and unprofessional.

Was a little dusty inside but not enough to change my rating. With the cold and flu season it might be better to have the inside steering wheel and dash cleaned more often between renters. This just helps to avoid potentially getting others sick.

It was implied to me by the staff member I picked the truck up from that the optional insurance coverage was mandatory, which it isn’t. I did not think this was in good business practices. This is however the first time this has happened to me at this location, where I have received good service for years.

Wellington location was fine. I was only there because Fennell location didn’t have my reservation and didn’t offer any help to resolve the issue. Terrible experience. If a piece of equipment is missing why can’t your system find an alternate proactively instead of wasting two hours of a customers day running around looking for one?

The last two times we have arrived for pick up there was only one person working. It is the closest store for us to pick up from. Since there was only one female associate she could not lift trailer to hook it up and needed assistance! Our driver is too old for this and since when was uhaul a DIY facility?

Returned trailer 2 days ahead of drop off day and didn’t receive a discount. Paid the full rental of 13 days, instead of 11 days. U-Haul really doesn’t care or is respectful.

I had reserved a furniture dolly with U-Haul, but when I went to the centre, they informed me that it was not available and that it was on a first-come, first-served basis. They were rude and provided the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

The Upper Wellington, Hamilton location is well run and managed. Having used a number of other locations I say the Upper Wellington and Upper Centennial are two of the best. But be good managers. Both deserve 5 stars and more money :-)

The staff was great. My only suggestion is that you have some supply of Dollie’s available (appliance and regular). When I rent a truck and ask for a dolly there should be one guaranteed to me. If I have to move appliances I need the correct equipment. Having it on a first come first serve basis is not reassuring for the renters. I am sure you can pull reporting and stick the locations with a correct number of supplies. I find this worrisome. I hope you consider my suggestion. Thank you

When returning vehicle to location, signage says to wait ON vehicle till staff comes out. Waited 15 minutes, no one showed so left vehicle and went inside to finalize rental.

The trailer was dirty! The wiring was broken and I had to help fix it and had to clean that out before loading. I would recommend the location just because they had lots of trucks and trailers!

If your customer has reservation made in advance please make sure before pick up time that the van is in good and safe to drive condition instead of having just 1 van left with dead battery as I experienced and had to wait 1 hour for my reserved van that i needed.

Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I found the per-kilometer charge to be quite high compared to other providers. I would also recommend making the insurance policy more flexible, for instance, if no accident or claim is made during the rental period, it would be reasonable to consider a partial refund. This approach is already being adopted by some competitors and would greatly enhance customer satisfaction.

I reserved for an 8am pick up. I get there and do the online pick up. Says to call the contact center. Then they tell me they didnt set it up for the pick up. So I come back at 9am. I once again use the app and pick up my keys.. except my truck is so far back blocked by a bunch of trucks and all I got from the worker was ya you'll have to wait til this big line of people move behind you. I wait 40 min until finally I ask the worker to move a truck that was still blocking me.... seemed very unorganized

Upon returning my trailer yesterday to the upper Wellington location I call the phone number I was given to let them know I had arrived. A man came out and told me where to park it. He said he’d help me once it went through the system. I was put on hold with the number I had called. My husband unhooked the trailer in the meantime. I was still on hold when a female employee came to me saying I couldn’t drop off the trailer at this location because they didn’t have room. I explained that this was the location that was agreed upon to return it. This woman had a shouting match with me in the parking lot. She wanted me to hook up the trailer again and bring it to a different location. She said some one had sent me a text telling me that. There was NO text telling me this. I refused to hook the trailer back up. I have been going to the upper Wellington location for years, have had 2 trailer hitches installed on 2 different cars. I will never go to this location again and will be very hesitant about using Uhaul services at all in the future. I’m very disappointed.

Had to have roadside assistance called as vehicle had no power. Went to start vehicle and nothing. Roadside assistance sent a Toronto look and found that a battery cable had not been tightened. Had to wait about 20mins. Very inconvenient! Poor maintenance check

WARNING. STAY AWAY. Absolutely horrific experience. Huge holes in the unit led to flooding and permanent damage to thousands of dollars worth of my belongings. Employees were unconcerned and unhelpful. Countless messages and emails to the manager asking him to call me, no phone call just passive aggressive emails. I notified them 6 DAYS IN ADVANCE before the end of my rental term that my unit would be vacated and I wouldn’t need another month and THEY DIDNT CANCEL MY CONTRACT SO I WAS CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA MONTH. The unit is empty and my lock is off. Absolute JOKE of an establishment. The manager RUSSEL BROOKER is an unprofessional snobby jerk and should be fired. STAY AWAY.

Excellent and prompt service as I was given the option to set up a contract within the office (no cell phone). The representative, I believe his name was Joseph Costa (as per my receipt), was very helpful and made the process seamless and quick. I was shown were the unit was in the back and how to access it during off hours when it is less busy. Overall I was very pleased with how courteous, friendly and helpful the representative was when I came in.

The unit we had was an outdoor unit. The unit could use some updating as it was leaking from the rain in the ceiling and flooring, a lot of our items were wet and the flooring was in bad shape from water damage. Should be better weather proofed. The guy working was super friendly and helpful though.
