I only had the storage facility for a couple months and the elevator was inoperable most of the time I use the storage facility for work and carrying heavy materials in and out on a regular basis for me and my staff was a nightmare. Parking was a nightmare no one ever had a place to park.

I am writing to formally report an incident involving a U-Haul trailer rental that presented a significant safety risk to my family and me. Upon picking up the equipment for use with my 2026 Lincoln Navigator, I discovered that the tires were severely under-inflated. Shortly after entering the highway, the wheels began to wobble, eventually resulting in a tire blowout near Bradenton. A roadside assistance technician who responded to the scene confirmed that the trailer was unfit for rental due to the advanced state of rust on the rims and the poor condition of the tires. Upon reaching my destination in South Florida, multiple employees at the U-Haul return center acknowledged that this equipment should not have been provided for a long-distance trip, noting that such units are intended strictly for local use. Given the hazardous nature of this equipment and the failure to meet basic safety standards, I am requesting a full refund of the rental fees charged to my credit card.

After waiting a few minutes in an empty store, eventually I was being helped by a man. Trying to check in he said i might as well do it in my phone. I needed the key so I didnt see the point but I did. While finishing on my phone, I some how disappeared in plane sight when 2 other men walked in. Everything was fine until I went to return the vehicle when I went to return the vehicle the man said that I had wrecked the truck and I go I did not wreck the truck I showed him the condition of the picture that I took before I left because the lady at customer service when I got the contract she says make sure you then pictures and you turn them in I did make sure you take pictures when you purchase gas and bring him to make sure you don't get charged for gas well I was going to be charged for an accident that the truck apparently had been in not by me I have pictures at 9:46 a.m. I signed the contract at 9:41 I would have done it sooner but it was raining and he shows the damage on the vehicle and the man that works for the location says I am sorry but that was not there and I go well it's 9:46 so evidently you're doing good job when you inspected the vehicle yesterday so he says I'm not paying for the damage and I go I'm not paying for it either because it was just like that and I can show you two different angles of the truck that shows the damage after a while of arguing with him he went ahead and said okay I'm not going to charge you everything was there which is wrong and then he proceeded to wanted to charge me for gas I took pictures of the gas before I left and I took pictures of the gas after I left after I was done with the receipt of purchase in the gas the needle is higher but he said the paperwork show that they need it was not there it was higher and I go well I took a picture with the mileage showing where the needle was and he was just a hair over three quarters and he says no it's supposed to be full and I go no it was not full it was a hair over three quarters the picture shows a very clear same mileage in my contract I put 14 miles or 15 miles on the truck actually I think it was 17 or 18 and I purchased 2 gallons of gas just like customer service told me to buy cuz they say about 10 miles to the gallon anyway after 15 more minutes arguing with him he would have said okay I'm not going to charge you for the gas after I showed him proof that I had more gas in the tank that previously had this is unbelievable I have never

I booked online for pickup truck closer to my home. I ended up driving more and paying more mileage fees. No one even left a voicemail that it was being move from one location on Florida ave (who apparently hasn't had pick ups in almost 3 years) to Waters. I would have gone with a different company all together. The Gandy Location would have been more convenient for me but still out of my way.

Everyone was amazing. My father passed away and I was closing out his storage. Makayla was so kind and courteous. Even the owner reached out to see how he could assist. On the day I was moving his things out, the staff was compassionate and helpful. The facilities were so clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this location. You guys over charged me for the truck rental. I drove that truck 8 miles but was charged for double that. Apparently there was an error in the original paperwork. Other than that my experience was great. Super nice folks working there.

My particular unit was in a bad spot. A main lain for traffic so it was almost always blocked. The manager was accommodating and tried to place cones that helped though. I appreciated that. It was uncomfortable squeezing by someone to stand in front of them and get what I needed from my storage.

I just didn’t like the fact that the atender told me that I needed to buy a locker and at the end she told me that it’s now it belong to me, listen, I don’t need that kind locker and I told her that I had locker and she told me that I need to use the U-Haul locker. This place is really good i got a 5*10 storage temporary due to moving to store things while I settled a few months and organized. The place is temperature control always clean & the staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you Exxon for making the closing account a smooth & easy process for me & my family. The truck pick up was a disaster as far as having the truck ready. There was a zip tie on our unit and it wasn't made clear if we were to cut it off or them. The clerk had no idea if the lock was included even tho I checked in online the night before and paid and signed and I got an email stating there was a lock which was laying on floor in unit once the movers we hired removed the zip tie. But shouldn't the clerks know the specials? The unit was clean and the store was clean and it's a busy place so they must take care of their units so ask me again In 6-8months how my items are and I will know more for review.

The staff who was there two were on their personal phones sitting down against the wall talking to each other and one person at a work desk also on the phone answering calls . Somehow the two other men realized I was there and approached me with an attitude and loud voice like as if they were bothered by me being there. I went to lock my room and the sliding mechanism on the door was worn out to where it did not work properly for me and I was unable to remove my lock the very next day. I went in to the office same scenario as the day before but this time I let them know I was not gonna wait til they got past the level in their games and that I needed their attention Either way I moved out because I would not like to visit this location in the future. The employees act like gangsters talking while making hand gestures and an having unpleasant attitude w an aggressive tone of voice.

I explained that I had a issue with the management in the complex that I was moving to that I could not gain access to move my personal belongings to the apartment and, I was told to not worry about it that I can keep the truck till I can move into my apartment for another couple of hours, well I was charged anyways. And to add to this, this was my second time renting a truck and not having a working AC so it was extremely hot in the cabin. I expressed this and the employee checked it and stated yes, it’s very hot. Yet, I was charged! I want a full refund!

The facility on Waters Avenue in Tampa is outstanding with one complaint. The areas where one would need to unload into the storage facility at the doors are jam packed with employee vehicles and U Haul trucks making unloading and moving into the storage unit a serious hassle. There is no reason that employees must park right at the doors.

From the start it was bad. They asked if I wanted 24 hour access, I said yes. They never told me this was extra. They gave me the 4 digit code but not how to use it. We setup auto payments but they did it incorrectly. So 30 days later I was told I was late and that they were going to put a lien on my truck. This was your error. I reached out 5 times to talk to the GM, this was phone and email -to date no response. I was late because they didn’t setup auto pay correctly. The employee who set this up did not have the proper training and needed to get the help from the other employee. I would recommend storage access being later hours...closing at 7 pm. is inconvenient....only open to 8 pm. on Friday, unable to work & move items. Also climate control at 80 degrees + is too hot!
