I have rented from u haul loyally for over 35 years now, I am a firm believer they are the best in the business when it comes to customer satisfaction and quality of equipment. With over 50 rentals throughout the years this was by far the worst condition I of a truck I have ever rented. 1. Inside Cab was not clean'' the proof is the prior customers contract on the seat and trash under the seats, the spilled drinks that were all over and not cleaned and that's not to mention all the bodily fluids on the windshield and dashboard from what appears to be a lot of coughing and sneezing I hoped. We spent almost an hr wiping down the interior to feel comfortable for our 1500 mile drive. 2. Now to the mechanicalâ€¦ Brakes squealed, the steering wheel had to be rocked back and forth to maintain lanes, 4 of the 6 tires were under inflated. Other then that, I guess it was ok this time but I will definitely be more dilligent and not make any payments on the rental until I get to see the truck I will be assignedScott B.

The agent who attended me showed me a paper indicating the amount of fuel supposedly the truck's fuel gage was showing on it . The amount fuel actually on the truck was completely wrong from the document and I took a picture of both the mileage and the fuel. I took another picture upon returning the vehicle after hours showing more fuel on the truck fuel gage then when I picked up the truck. I was charged for the fuel difference. When the agent brought me the truck, he did not even look at the gage and was also in a hurray because the place was closing within minutes and everyone wanted to leave. I walked around the truck for any possible unforeseen damages or ? The agent left . And when I started the truck, that is when I noticed the fuel gage difference. The picture I took has time stamped 4:57PM on Sunday. Your records will show the time when I paid to pick up the truck to verify all I am saying here.luish G.

I'm upset because I was charged another 26 dollars because I was only allowed 100 miles and the miles between the location to the drop off location was 109 miles and that wasn't even the miles to my house so you all at uhaul ripped me off and only take money and no consideration that I rented storage space from you or rented all my trucks from you and my truck was on empty for fuel and I was told if I brought it back with a quarter tank I would get 54 dollars credit and I didn't. Force you to do everything on a phone. Cancelled my reservation I had for days because someone else needed the truck longer. So the solution was go to a further location or get a different truck they had there. Smaller or much larger. Customer service sucks they aren't happy employees have bad attitudes because I didn't want to use my phone to get a truck. I want to do business like it should be done. Person to Person. My issues do not stem from this location, but by the processes uhaul is making them do. Online check in took too long, I selected pick up in store for a reason (because I only had the truck from 8-5) and because they made me do online check in my pick up took roughly 30 minutes even though I got there early. The service team at this location was nice but the fact the pick up process could have taken 10-15 min (I've done it before) instead of 30 had I been able to do in store pick up LIKE I REQUESTED WHEN I RENTED THE TRUCK. Overall, dissatisfied in uhaul's online pick up process. Y'all need better/more service representatives doing the online process if you're going to make every location do that instead of in store.Marissa V.
I received a 9ft cargo van after I was transferred to a different uhaul location since the other one didn't have cargo vans. The van had low engine oil, the steering wheel was extremely loose and I could turn it 45 degrees before the van would start to turn, then I was charged 110$ for something that is 19.95$?????William L.

Things that can be improved: Booking and extending time on reservation methods. Explaining more your options when client comes. Spent 2 hours to get an extension of time (2 more hours) on reservations but was unsuccessful in getting someone in the line from the store or 800 customer service number. Finally had to give up and wait until they had to call me, ended up getting the extended time without extra charges (which I appreciate) but overall has been a good experience. Car was brand new too, which is a plus to the company.Digno L.

Will never rent from this location again. The contract is written for 200 miles no matter how many miles you plan to use it. And falsely states the rental charge is $79. The correct agreement for the truck i rented was $19.95 a day, and .69 per mile. The contract should state that. The location i normally rent at always shows the agreement accurately.SANDRA W.

They messed up my trailer reservation and gave me a trailer with a different RV # compared to the RV # I had on my contract. That complicated a lot of coordination when I tried to reserve the trailer for an additional day. I had to wait over an hour at the site just to resolve the issue with the CSR's working there. When I returned the trailer, the guy outside could barely remove the trailer from my truck and as he unhooked it, the trailer immediately went forward and hit my truck (luckily hit the trailer hitch and not my actual truck). I was standing there so I caught the trailer rolling forward before actual damage occurred. Overall, I was disappointed with the experience and do not look forward with renting equipment again from this location.Luis M.

I went to Uhaul three times and each time is took longer than it should. Only one representative at the counter. I was charged for an extra day, got the refund I was owed but took time out of my long day and no one could explain why I was overcharged. We had a truck reservation and when we got there, after waiting in line for 20min, there was no truck available for us. The clerk was less than enthused to help us. We ended up getting a van which worked out, luckily. But if there is not a truck available, I shouldn't be able to book one, as I could have made the reservation for a different day.Scott W.

The truck pick up was a disaster as far as having the truck ready. There was a zip tie on our unit and it wasn't made clear if we were to cut it off or them. The clerk had no idea if the lock was included even tho I checked in online the night before and paid and signed and I got an email stating there was a lock which was laying on floor in unit once the movers we hired removed the zip tie. But shouldn't the clerks know the specials? The staff who was there two were on their personal phones sitting down against the wall talking to each other and one person at a work desk also on the phone answering calls . Somehow the two other men realized I was there and approached me with an attitude and loud voice like as if they were bothered by me being there. I went to lock my room and the sliding mechanism on the door was worn out to where it did not work properly for me and I was unable to remove my lock the very next day. I went in to the office same scenario as the day before but this time I let them know I was not gonna wait til they got past the level in their games and that I needed their attention Either way I moved out because I would not like to visit this location in the future. I explained that I had a issue with the management in the complex that I was moving to that I could not gain access to move my personal belongings to the apartment and, I was told to not worry about it that I can keep the truck till I can move into my apartment for another couple of hours, well I was charged anyways. And to add to this, this was my second time renting a truck and not having a working AC so it was extremely hot in the cabin. The facility on Waters Avenue in Tampa is outstanding with one complaint. The areas where one would need to unload into the storage facility at the doors are jam packed with employee vehicles and U Haul trucks making unloading and moving into the storage unit a serious hassle.
