I was to pick my U-Haul up at 6 am when I arrived the app said I had to wait until 7 am, worker was there I informed him he said there was not a 26' truck for me and was very rude and condescending, said I would have to wait for him to get done with his daily duties then he would look into it, by then it was 7 am I was on the phone with U-Haul 800 and they informed me my truck was there and the lady I spoke to on the phone heard how this worker was speaking to me, the manager got there at 7 am and helped me get the key out of lock box while the guy that was rude watched me struggle and never once from the beginning did he want to help me with anything. I will never is U-Haul ever again and I have already told people that I know about this situation and I'll continue to let people know not to use your service. I told the manager when he got there how the gentleman was treating me and he said he would look into it, never apologized for the workers behavior and the work never apologized but the women I spoke to on the 800 apologized several times and made a complaint as well on this gentleman, so thank you to the two lady's I spoke with on the phone they were very helpful.Tracie H.

The guy working was very nice and personable! The van was also well maintained. Our only complaint that there seemed to be only one person working at the store. The same guy was waiting on customers, then he had to go outside and retrieve the vehicles for people. So, while our reservation was for 10:00, we had to wait in line for over 30 minutes because there was only one person working.Jose O.

This location is a rip off, I've rented from Uhaul numerous of times and never got charged for gas, I even returned it with more gas than what it had when I got it. A $19.99 rental turned out to $177.22 I have never experience such a disorganized location in my life. The price went from $75.46 I was promised to $177.22. They never once explained that gas will be charged per mile NEVER MENTIONED IT ONCE, JUST THAT THE GAS HAD TO BE THE SAME WHEN I RETURN IT. When he asked me how far I was going I told him from town and country to Valrico and back to town and country to return it just to Valrico is 30 miles. This location is very unprofessional and they do not take the time out to inform the customer of what to expect when they return the rental.Myra T.

Train Travis on how to manage customer grievance. I offered to have Travis resolve my issue and complaint before i reach out to corporate. Travis did remove one of the charges but did so because he wanted me out of the store. The response was Mondays are very hectic. So i was on hold on the phone for 29 minutes to which i drove to the Uhual only to find two employees (One was Kevin on the side smoking and talking to another female employee) talking outside and when i walked in Travis asked if he could help me. I explained i was on hold for 29 minutes and still was on hold while i explained my issue. Travis did address part of my problem but then also explained to review my contract which i did point out where it did not say that. I am to reach out to corporate with any other issues so I will. I will also post online my experience of Travis. The other staff is very attentive and helpful. Jean was able to correct an issue i was having for 4 months. It took him about 30 seconds to fix for me because he actually listened to what issue i was having. Please have Jean explain to Travis how to handle customer issues in that the response of Monday's are busy may not be the best way to acknowledge the situation. Thank youThomas W.

Scary tactics to purchase insurance, not disclosed in the add for renting. This is the first time I had to purchase separate insurance to rent. Always, u-haul accepted my insurance. This location is a bit greedy, won't go there again.JOSE M.

The person I delt with at night was very rude he wouldn't check my truck that I used in for the night because it was 7:58pm and the facility closed at 8pm. I had a long day of moving and was exhausted. So how was that rewarded by a $37 overnight fee because of a lazy worker. I would not recommend this location to anyone!SEAN B.

The facility was good. What I hated was the 24/7 return app. Since my wife works I had nobody to help me drop off the truck in the morning when it was due so I figured I'd return it early and do it the night before so she could pick me up. I got there just after close and figured I'd just use the 24/7 drop off and be good to go. That experience again was just absolutely awful. I got to the point where I needed to take a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge and took the picture 10+ times but it would not let me move past that part. There was obviously nobody around for me to ask and no alternative option given. I ended up just leaving the truck and driving back in my own car the next morning to drop off the keys and make sure there were no additional charges. Again, Uhaul had me wasting my money and my mileage. 4 stars is for the storage at Westchase. If I was rating Uhual itself it would be 1 star.ARTHUR M.
I have rented this trailer several times from the location on Gunn Highway and in Douglas Ga. Every time, they assisted me in loading the vehicle and securing the vehicle to the trailer. At this location, they wanted to charge me $20.00 to perform this process. I refused the "donation" and they would not even guide me onto the trailer. I had issues with the trailer rented and was not able to use it for my car although the site stated my car would work with the trailer. I traveled with an empty trailer and had to fly back to pick up my car as well as being changed for the trailer that did not work for me and was told to â€œuse a 2x4 on the ramp next time.â€ The truck leaked inside and ruined two of my mattresses and not a 1% discount was issued besides a â€œsorry to hear that.â€ By far worse U-Haul experience I had and will pay another company more instead of using U-Haul.Andre L.

We were moved to this location without being asked. When I called to understand, I was lectured about how this wasn't a corporate center. The lack of communication within uhaul is appalling and disappointing, although congruent with previous uhaul experiences at other locations. All locations need more staff, better keeping up to date, and better drop off and picking up experiences. This location, in terms of actual pick up, was better than most.Jamie K.
