I was presented with a newer truck, a tad over 8000 miles......I was making a one-way trip of about 1000 miles. The truck looked nice, but after starting on my journey I noticed the truck was full of dog hair. The truck was not cleaned.. the steering wheel was very loose. Again I did not notice the severity of the loose steering wheel until starting on my journey. The staff never walked around the truck with me, didn’t even do a check of the truck.

I am a long-time U-Haul customer I use U-Haul at least once a year if not more I was going one way from Florida to New York I swear they gave me the worst truck on the lot so that it only went one way and then come back to them I had issues with the windows my husband had to wash all the windows inside of the cab so I can see the wiper blades didn't work they skipped all over I hit rain in a state and had to pull over and the truck itself didn't shift gears properly and grinded a two-day trip took me 4 days very disappointed tried calling from the road that put to an automated machine that bounced me all over and then hung up on me

The starter on the truck is faulty and it would not start. It takes 10 tries to get it running. It needs to be fixed.

My initial experience was terrible.. I made a reservation Friday at 1030am to pick up my rental at 8pm at the Hillsborough location. I received a text at about 1035am stating "thank you for your reservation at linebaugh we will see you at 8" i was already dissatisfied that it told me a different location to what I originally chose. I arrived at the linebaugh location at 8pm and started my online pick up and at 8pm I receive a text stating " your rental reservation is ready at the hillsborough store" i was livid because now that I drove to linebaugh to pick up my truck now I have to drive all the way to hillsborough?! I get into my car,drive to Hillsborough and start my online process, I attempted to complete my pick up and process my card and now the online app is saying "sorry something went wrong on our end please try again later" i dont have time for later when Uhaul screws up and makes me drive to locations all throughout the night! Adam (assistant manager) and Mike(uhaul employee) at the Hillsborough location were great in making sure I got my uhaul that night. The app was still not processing and and Adam still trying help me and this issue and stated to just come back in the morning and they would have a truck waiting upon arrival. I agreed even though my rental was for Friday night. I drive not even 5 min away to then receive a call from Adam stating he went inside to change my reservation to the following day and he was able to see my rental process go through! Now I'm livid because i have to drive all throughout town for a damn truck, and I have to pay full price?! I have NEVER gone through all this for a rental and I am expecting some type of compensation for all the hassle and headache your company has put me through.

I'm a computer specialist and I think your computer system is very out-dated. It took a full hour to rent the vehicle and I almost gave up. I don't blame the staff at the location. It seemed to me that your server was completely overloaded and was dropping data requests. I suggest you consider putting more resources into upgrading your database or get a better trained IT staff that can keep the server running properly.

Not enough employees to help customers and when I finally received help, the employee didn't have a clue what he was doing and two customers that came in after me was able to get their equipment and leave before I was checked out. I also had did early check in online prior to arrival and it still took forever.

The person who "checked" me in at the counter was not friendly at all and seemed like I was more of a nuisance than a return customer. The person who checked me out upon returning the trailer was courteous and friendly.

We rented a 15’ truck to drive from Tampa to Boston. The passenger footwell was taken up by the transmission and left a small space for the passengers feet. Since the space was off to one side the passenger is forced to ride leaning to one side making for an extremely uncomfortable ride. But worse than that, we left home at 4 AM and my husband was in the passenger seat. He fell asleep with his leg resting against that transmission compartment due to the limited space. He woke up feeling pain in his leg then realized he was burned from leaving his leg resting against that compartment. We stopped and purchased a towel with some tape and covered the area, which prevented the passenger from getting burned but for their limited the space in which you could move around to get comfortable as the passenger. Miserable experience and I would never recommend U haul for long distance driving. The equipment should not because such discomfort to the passengers.

Equipment was clean but the van smells like somebody had died in there and they were riding away for a week. Very disgusting smell. I told the manager upon drop off. Also upon check-in there was a young man checking me and who should not deal with people, he had a horrible personality. However I have rented from here before and I know generally speaking it is a good solid location.
