My unit had no lights and leaked when it rained. The insurance we purchased is refusing to pay replacement value for damaged items, depreciating even new items and delaying payment. The front office folks were decent and assisted with reporting that the unit did actually leak, but the insurance company would not accept their word and required photos from a unit with no lights and a roof leak.Charles U. | Overall Experience

Customer Service Rep was on the phone with wife/girlfriend having a conversation all the while I was checking the vehicle out. The cell phone was on the counter, on speaker, so I could hear her replies. They were just socializing. I had a difficult time determining if he was talking to me or person on cell phone. I expect undivided attention when transaction business with the business's customer service rep. Checking the vehicle back in was very easy and flawless. Please get rid of the online after hours return app. I've used it 2x in the last few months and had issues both times. The app asks for mileage and fuel level, which is easy enough to enter, but it also asks for a photo upload of the dash. If your phone doesn't have adequate memory available then the upload won't work. Very frustrating, especially because not uploading the photo (which the app allows) apparently has the potential to lead to a late return charge and charge for an extra day (which thankfully could be refunded but only after the hassle of contacting customer service because there isn't a way to call the local store directly). If a customer's truck key is in the after hours dropoff bin when the store opens that should be adequate proof that the truck was returned "on time". Having an associate check the mileage and fuel level as a routine job duty would only take a minute. That minute the store is saving by having customers do it is not worth frustrating your customers over. Technology is great but not when it just complicates matters. Thank you!Christie Y.

PMCS YOUR VEHICLES HEAD LIGHT OUT IN VEHICLE THAT WAS DISPATCHED TO ME. LAST TIME I HAD A VEHICLE DISPATCHED TO ME AT THIS LOCATION, THE EXHAUST WAS BLOWN OUT AND THE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE VEHICLE FOR ME😂😡 MY POINT IS THAT YOU HAVE INEXPERIENCED 20+ YEAR OLDS THAT DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THEIR JOBS AND HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE SAFTY ISSUES OF THE VEHICLES THAT THEY DISPATCH TO CUSTOMERS. IVE RENTED 3 OF YOUR VEHICLES IN THE LAST 30 DAYS AND 2 OF THEM OUT OF THE 3 HAD MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS. I DON'T BLAME THESE MISHAPS ON THESE INEXPERIENCE EMPLOYEES. I BLAME THEM ON MANAGEMENT. Every indication light was on the dash, everything from the check engine light, the flat tire light and several others indication lights were on. The truck sounded awefull as if the engine was going to blow up it did indeed have a flat tire . It stalled twice each time at a red light. upon drop off they tried to charge me another 40 dollars even though it was already paid and they took a 100 dollar deposit on hold in addtion to that. The cashier was rude and every bit of information he retored with was inaccurate. They stated I had the truck for 4 days which is inaccurate I picked it up at 10 am and returned it at 4pm the same day and had this truck reserved for 2 weeks, no reason not to have made sure it was up to par. i returned it cleaned and gassed up to where it was before. They did refund me 50 dollars which does not cover what I had to spend but it takes a week to get your money back in addtion to the 100 they held that has not been returned. The whole thing was a hassle from beginning to end. But to top it off with rudeness is just not ok.seth P.

When returning the equipment, the sign started I should stay inside and wait for someone to come out. After 45 minutes of sitting there I finally got out and walked over to an employee who was just wandering around nearby and handed him the keys. The first 15' truck that was dispatched to me was filthy! When I started up the truck, It was very loud! Exhaust system was broken at the Cadaletic Converter. When I brought it to his attention, He claimed that he has driven vehicles with broken exhaust systems before and that " This is the truck for me" I responded back to him that I am 61 years old and I have driven 100s of vehicles and I would not drive a vehicle in this bad condition. He stated that "this was the only vehicle that was available" After a few minutes of back and forth, Another Employee came out and found me another vehicle. I understand that you can not find trained people to work for you at the moment, It's the way it is at the moment. But you really need someone in there who knows a little bit about customer service as well as basic PERVENTIVE MAINTENANCE. Putting 20+ year old bearly trained staff in charge of your location is in my opinion a bad deal all around. It could end bad if an accident would occur. I don't hold them accountable in this matter. I blame MANAGEMENT. You need to train your staff properly or your going to loose business.Joseph L W.

The young black man who was working out back was most helpful. However the young man who waited on me needs to lay off the marijuana while he is at work. I’ m sure he is a nice young man but this is not helping him think clearly. He was trying hard to do a good job though. .I feel like someone may have alerted my stalker that I was there as he pulled in while I was renting. Which is not a coincidence. I am in hopes that my stuff won’t be stolen from the unit before I can get it out. This is a very small community and everyone seems to know the person I have a pfa on. I stopped by today to ask some questions and change the lock. I also called about getting extra insurance on my things and no one could answer my question? Please let me know if I can purchase additional insurance. The truck I rented was a clunker and I had concerns about it breaking down. It was an old moving van. Im sure you have newer models. I also tried to change the lock into something that could not be picked as I am concerned the lock I was provided with can be picked and my things stolen. I had to rent a box truck as my appointment for a hitch to be installed was changed from 8:30am to anytime during the day. The seat was ripped and had leaves and dirt on floors. The hitch was NOT completed as he couldn't get 3 bolts out, his tools were strewn all over and kept trying to find correct wrench, told me to take the hitch, I purchased from U-Haul to another garage and have them do it. It cost me a lot more money than expected and time was limited as we were leaving for south for winter! I would recommend going to Waterville U-Haul, worth the few extra miles!Daphne C.

And I had put together a clothing donation to go down to Florida from six of the local stores up in the Augusta area I tried to get a hold of corporate office which I was I got was voice machines voice machine to voice machines to see if they could help out with use of a truck with storage facilities And even though I included them in the TV commercial that was donated to us I got absolutely nothing in return except being charged for a truck for four days I was an hour late another $30 on top of that and I am paying $160 per month because the tractor is coming up from Florida to pick up all the clothes never made itRichard B.

I reserved a truck, got two phone calls after reservations because you had to change the truck again and again. Show up to pickup my reservation and I can longer get the truck that was reserved and changed 3 times. I had to use a smaller truck which created me to take multiple trips instead of one which increased the mileage and therefore increased my bill. Customer rep was a complete ass-hat the entire time and didn't care about any of the inconvenience. In fact said â€œit's not our faultâ€. I rented an open trailer with a gate to move some equipment. My overall experience was okay considering the cost was very minimal. The trailer itself functioned properly and was fine for my purposes but I would not say that it appeared relatively new or even well-maintained. The location is on a busy street and not exactly convenient for me. I had originally asked for the pickup location to be in a place more convenient for me but was told that the euipment would likely not be available there. I would give this location an average rating - it worked fine for me and the cost was very inexpensive making the inconvenience of laction worthwhile in the end.Mark M.
I went online to reserve a 20 ft truck for my move when I got to the store I was put into a 10-ft truck. The attendant told us there was no available rentals when the website said there was. Went online and see there is multiple available right away. So rented online went to get it and someone else had the same rental I was doing the photos when the other customer came out with the key because he had rented inside for the same one I got online after I was told there were no available rentals? We went Inside and he switched mine to the other available rental and so I was unable to take photos or confirm anything he said he'd print the agreement but then wasn't able to so I left the lot with mo confirmation or anything. I asked for something else that was available online and he said it was unavailable. He wasn't friendly, looked dirty and disheveled. Clearly didn't want to be bothered by customers as a former self storage and rental truck manager I was not impressed with this interaction at all. Definitely needs some training in multiple areas. I'm not one to usually complain and always make sure to leave good reviews when asked but this would be something from a business standpoint I'd want to know about.Chantal H.

Staff was not helpful in research into account and charges related to the account, told to call customer service as they sat and watched, refused to service after being asked to look into charges nobody could seem to find that was linked with a reservation # and order #. Why would a company provide a customer with such reference numbers if you have no way to research with them, gives your customers and future customers a false sense of trust in company that refuses to stand by their word and then refuses to help a customer when they are being told they are rude for inquiring. I’m allowed to be frustrated that my confirmed reservation was cancelled and charges from UHaul on my debit card could not be located and refused to give the merchandise purchased without the researched receipt. The pricing is steep, we where told when we first inquired that they had units " half the size of a two car garage!" We thought sweet okay for that price that's great.... come to find out it was actually 10 times smaller than that and we needed to utilize 2 units instead of just one!( thank fully staff on was able to help work out a deal for this false information and took the first month of of the second one so we had a 2 for 1 month deal, but all we had was a couch a bed Frame( in peices), a box spring, and a few loose items, these took up 90% of both units " half the size of a two car garage!" Not!, and the late fees are ridiculous one day late and you charge $20 for a "delinquent Fee" I appreciate the storage availability.. but again the prices, lies, and late fees are what took had us move out!Schyler H. | Overall Experience

Heather Poore is OUTSTANDING! First, she took my initial phone call, answered all my questions and made me feel comforted in having to handle a last-minute, unplanned move of my college student due to coronavirus. Then when I arrived from NJ the next day, her smiling face met me and she again calmly explained everything and got me set up. This is my first time renting storage; she was patient, helpful and didn't rush me. Then I made three trips to the facility in the next 24 hours. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the access to carts, the security, etc. I can't say enough about how Heather went above and beyond and how all the little things she did added up to reducing my stress in a time when I greatly appreciated it.
