Well the location is great. Its the policy is not good i over filled rental van before i return it but to bad you do not give credit for the over fill gas but you guys charge a lot for under filled gas. It will be nice if you guys give credit to the next rental atleast for the over filled gas. It doesnt matter if its $1 or $2 credit is credit. To bad for me again i filled it extra quarter tank of gas. For that reason i will take my business to other rental company atleast they give me credit for something.

I made a one way trip from Ottawa to Ajax, Ontario. I booked the truck out of Ottawa for 2 days. I actually made the trip in one day and asked for a credit for dropping the truck off a day early. They said NO. I have no idea why. This is not right and I am very upset about not getting a credit for arriving a day early to drop off the truck

During pick up of truck I was told (twice) that the fuel tank was full. However, it wasn’t and I filled in much more fuel than I consumed during my 5 hour usage. Mentioned this while dropping off but no steps were taken on the complaint. I feel I was fooled by the staff at this location.

dropped the truck off after hours and noticed a few days later i was charged for mileage overage this was not correct they made an error on the rental contract and basically told me the contract was closed and they could do nothing about it

Staff at Station St. was very helpful. Considering our original drop off point was supposed to be JIL Janitorial. We found the door locked and lights out at 3:30 pm. No one answered the phone. There was no obvious key drop slot. Next time I will take my business to the Station St. location.

My instructions told me to find the lock box with my key in the back of my truck. It was not there. The photo showed the back of a different style of truck, so I searched through the entire lot, looking for the lock box. I searched for more than half an hour, coming back and searching every inch of my truck, just in case I'd.missed it. I phoned the helpline and spent over 10 minutes on hold, before being bumped from agent to agent, with no one being able to help. While i was on hold I contacted an online agent, who was able to find out that the lock boxes were on the main building. I don't have the words for how frustrating the situation was.

Assume that ALL customers are unfamiliar in driving this type of vehicle and take a moment to explain how the vehicle is operated. eg. How to adjust the mirror, how the brake is released once sunk, how to open and close the rear door. etc. I was simple given a key with zero instructions. This is very unsafe. The additional charges for gas are simply ridiculous. Please address. Overall, customer service was good and once the other issues are addressed, I will be happy to share this experience with others.

Horrible service!!!! My delivery was 1day late. I was told the delivery address was too far and they declined to move my storage boxes. They incorrectly placed my order. There were hidden costs. My quote didn't match what I paid. Worst service. Staff sounded like they were being inconvenienced and were rude. I will never use U-Haul again

The Ajax location is great. The people were very professional. Vic was more than helpful in determining how to fit the dolly (wider than my car) into my sedan with back seats that don't fold down. I reserved 10 blankets, as that's how they came, according to the reservations person on the phone, but they came in packs of 6, so I only took 6 but was charged for 12. I had to go back for my refund, and that took a while to appear on my credit card, but it did - yeah. I never could see "what I rented/reserved" online, only date, time and location. Waits on hold could be a while - bad. Your people on the phone and in store were very polite and courteous. I would recommend this location if asked. My concerns are minor, but in the interests of providing even better service, I wanted to mention them. Not getting all the details of my reservation, and the fact that what I reserved wasn't how it came (6 vs10 blankets/packet) are where you need to improve. Thanks for letting me give feedback. I wanted to give "EXCELLENT" but I had to go back to adjust the bill, so hence the "ABOVE AVERAGE".

I went to pick up my truck and the app did not work, the web page did not work, live chat did not work, calling the 1-800 number did not work and I was unable to get my truck at the reserved time. I spent an hour waiting, trying to talk to customer service, trying to get my truck and in the end had to leave the location without my truck and return the next day to get one. SHAME UHAUL! None of your failsafes worked to ensure I got my truck. After returning home someone called to say they have received my application and they are approving the truck rental. That it was my fault for not "trying harder" to contact customer service and that it was " a real busy day for customer service!" They had only had my application for "less than three minutes" even though I had just been on hold for 20 minutes to customer service and hung up finally. I was told to call customer service AGAIN if I wanted any good will gesture or credit towards my rental. I canceled my rental for the evening as my help had left and I was at home now. I did attend the location the following day and the manager, as always, was polite and courteous. There was however no attempt to rectify the issue by applying any discounted rate to the rental or KM charges. I was told that others had not had the same problem that evening. I tried as best I could to access the rental truck keys and everything on your end let me down. I went through the whole process multiple times. Scanning licences, taking pictures, getting the truck number then dropping me without completing my order. I wasted much time, energy, effort, and pay to helpers on this. I understand now why UHaul gets such a bad name and will be leaving comments online eventually with Google reviews.

Great customer service, general manager was working 2 tills trying to get through the morning rush. As well, when I dropped off the truck, though the receiver was working on another return, he greeted me and let me go on my way as long as I was good with an emailed invoice. Only reason I didn't rate higher is lack of 26' trucks in the clarington area required me to drive to Ajax to pick up and drop off.

The issue isnt solely on this location but uhaul as a whole. I paid a reservation fee to get my trailer in pickering but was then told to pick up in scarborough. I arrived in scarborough at the agreed upon time only told there was no trailer for me and would have to go to ajax to pick up a trailer with less time than what was agreed upon by two hours not counting the hour I lost getting to ajax from scarborough. On top of it all the trailer was full of dirt and debris including nails rubber and plastic forks.

I am very upset about your process. I went to Kingston and wanted a 5x8 closed trailer he said they only had a open trailer in Napanee. Once we left Kingston I called 1-800 to see if they had something that we could get Toronto and bring back to Kingston. They didn’t have any in Brampton but said there was some be in Ajax so we cancelled Napanee open trailer for the closed even though more money. I received a call that said they did not have any closed trailer only open in Ajax. I said well if that was the case we would have taken the one from Napanee and dropped it back off there for $24 I asked the person when I booked are you sure I will get this trailer before I passed Napanee he said yes. Not correct listen to our conversation that was recorded?! The best I was given was $40 for my inconvenience however had I been given the correct information I would have picked up in Napanee and only been charged $24. I have rented from uhaul several times in the past few months and now will not because of poor customer service

The j my issue I had was the truck was given to me on almost empty for fuel. This was the only area not to happy because I didn’t have time to stop at a gas station right away. Other then that. It was perfect. I always use August for all my moves.

Nice streamlined process. Really liked the paperless system. Had to wait approx 15 mins for truck to b brought up but in the grand scheme of things very happy. Although there was the delay I really appreciated the fact that the staff from the counter who completed my reservation took it upon herself to go and get the truck.

Your app was not working when I dropped off the vehicle. Make sure it works properly for people to use. Very frustrating. Recommend that the desk staff be a little more friendly.

The check in process was quick. When I went out to the vehicle it was pointed out to me, but I wasn’t given any overview nor was a walk around to identify and acknowledge any damages. I received a text message a little while later that was supposed to show me what was marked as damages, but when I tried to view it, it said the link had expired and to contact UHaul. I wasn’t impressed.

The only comment I have is regarding the gas. I was informed that the tank was full and to return it as such. My entire travel during the rental was about 40 miles, but when I was refilling the tank before returning the 15' rental the I reached 34 litres before I stopped. Either the truck gets only 5+ miles per gallon (mostly highway) or the tank was not full when I took possession. The gas gauge showed the arm directly on full, but the tank was not full, because when I filled the tank, the gauge went beyond the full mark at my cost.

My issue was with the actual booking of the truck not this facility. I'm still upset that we booked a 20ft truck, received a "your booking is confirmed" email and then 3 days before our truck pick up we received a call that there was no 20ft truck available despite our confirmed booking. How is a booking CONFIRMED yet I'm not its not confirmed until we get a call. Its very dishonest practice to book out a truck and then be told you can't have that truck. We were told we could go pick up a truck over an hour away. This wasn't an option nor a practical solution. We opted to use the smaller truck which was the only thing available but this meant we had to bring along an extra vehicle to make up for the missing space on the truck. Very disappointing.

The Uhaul corporate software is embarrassing. The poor guy tried three times (system freezing) before moving to another terminal. Then that took two more tries to pay. Vehicles are always dirty. Inside of windshield looked like a pneumonia patient had sneezed on it for a week. I have never rented a truck/van from any Uhaul outlet in Canada that had a clean dash and windshield.

Two caucasian members of staff we dealing with a matter on the computer while I waited without acknowledgement for about 5 minutes. Before they were finished a caucasian couple entered the location and were promptly and pleasantly attended to while i continued waiting quitely in line. It is not my style to create a scene, though in retrospect that might have been more effective. Eventually I was abruptly told to drop off the vehicle at the green tent. I did just that and returned to express my dissatisfaction at how I was treated. Neither of the two offending staff members acknowledged my complain let alone apologized. A third employee of Indian descent had to step in and apologize on behalf of U-haul. The racist treatment meted out to me is disgraceful and unacceptable.

My overall experience has been terrible. Between Ajax, Saint John and National (888-438-3323) has been deplorable. I don't even know where to start except with social media so people don't make the same mistakes. - got misinformed about ability to drop a ubox at a specific location in NB. Once loaded they said it could go to Monitor location but to coordinate prediction with them. - quote to have 1 box shipped literally doubled in April compared to cost in January to have 2 boxes shipped. - needed to transfer stuff from box to trailer but was told they couldn't confirm the size trailer I needed would be available on the ajax site. - had to call 1-888# to resolve. When I replied to his email closer to the date to remind him (as he asked me to do) he asked me to refresh him on the details of the situation. - when I called ajax to confirm on Wednesday that we'd come do the transfer of contents on Thursday and trailer would be picked up Friday - same plan - I was told that wasn't possible and could only load trailer when it was hooked to truck. Why wasn't this told earlier? - only had trailer for 48hrs and no discount ... - the 1-888# said I could pick it back up and use it til contract end. Confirmed site still had it. - went to site to pick up today at 6pm (agreed time) and it had been rented. Awful. Horrible. Crappy service all around.

I think the manager and some of his team try to make a fast buck by cheating on fuel. Fortunately I checked my bill and inquired about the additional fuel charge. I had put 9 L of fuel for 15 miles. Glad I had the bill to prove it. The manager kept me waiting 20 minutes before sauntering out of his office and giving me the refund blaming it on the uHaul computer system which I find hard to believe. Will warn everyone I know to be vary of cheating at this location.

Do not understand your gas policy. Give me a full tank and I will return a full tank - that is easy....Give me a 7/16th full tank and expect me to return with another 7/16th full tank is ridiculous! So this trip you got back more than 10/16 full tank but I get no credit. Seems like a rip off to me. just charge me up front with $15, and I do not have to worry about the gas level makes so much more sense. This should be your problem, and not mine..

I rented a 6x12 trailer for a week and I had to unhook it from my truck. It didn’t have a jack stand and I had a very difficult time unhooking and hooking. I feel it is dangerous and I’m necessary to not have one. All trailers should have them installed for easy attach

We had a schedueled appointment to have our hitched installed. When I arrived at my appointment time (for which I received a confirmation email) I was VERY rudely told that I didn't have an appointment for that time and she had no idea when I could be seen. I had driven in from Bowmanville so I asked if there was anyway she could find out approximately how long the wait would be. The woman (Tanley?) Was angry that I asked, stomped off to the service bay. While she was gone another employee approached me, was very apologetic about the appointment mix up and went out of her way to set it right. I appreciate the help she gave, unfortunately the first employee had already set the tone for my visit. I also work in customer service and understand that mix ups happen and if the second employee had of been my only contact I would have rated my experience above average. I highly recommend that the woman I dealt with be removed from the desk and be put into a back office role as she is severely harming your business.

The staff at Ajax are super friendly and helpful. Picking up our truck was quick and easy. It's too bad there isn't a way to quickly pick up orders of boxes that have already been paid for online. I came at a busy time and had to wait in line for ages.

Disappointed that my reservation originally in North Bay could not be fulfilled and I was only told after I followed up! Disappointing that the vehicle did not have cruise control. Overall customer service at Ajax location was exceptional!

I went to drop off my uhaul truck and the associate named Tandy was making hand gestures for me to get out because it was almost closing sign. However when I was entering the uhaul location, it was open and not yet closed. She was not helpful nor was she respectful. Extremely poor customer service. She did not want to provide any service because it was "near closing time". The hand gesture to get out was also very disrespectful.

Prices are too high i feel and the extra 10 to have 24 hour is rediculous. Should have prorated amounts if out 5 days after paying high storage fees. Very disappointing.

The Ajax facility is top notch (receiving). Gord MacMillians in Antigonish (originating) was great - his help was very welcome. Phone access via primary number is clumsy however people were nice.
