Although the personnel was friendly, I was supposed to drop the Uhaul off in Whitby and got a call the morning of that it had to be taken to Ajax. This should not be the customers problem to transport the truck to a different location for another customers use, it is the responsibility of the company. Uhaul has a different way of working their company which I dont appreciate.

When we picked up the truck the gas was under half a tank. Didn't think to see what they wrote on the bill they give us. When we returned it we put exactly the amount that was in the tank when we got it (under half a tank). The guy at the return station said the bill says it was at half a tank. Which is not right. He charged us an extra 47$. Which isn't right. We even brought it back early. When we told him we would go put more gas our selves and what would happen if we went over half a tank would he refund us some money? He said absolutely not. Such a rip off. Never again would I use uhaul or recommend it to anyone.

Saturday 10am only one person to perform all functions. Line up approx 12 customers. I waited 40 minutes to be served. I had booked van online but still had to present credit card & DL and provide again basic information. Employee provided no apology to any of us waiting patiently. Printer was inoperative. Never again.

1. On pickup the printer was not working. 2. 3/4 tank of gas, returned with top up to 3/4 yet charged extra. 3. Night return uhaul.com would not create account. CHAT HELP also unable to help. 4. Had to return next morning to sort out everything. 5. Will have to check VISA in 24 hours to track numerous charges/credits. Definitely not an efficient process, clean location, pleasant staff both days.

I confirmed my 10 ft. truck on Monday, Oct.20/17 for 8 a.m. pick up on Sat. Nov.4/17. I booked it through a live agent at the Wilson and Taunton location Oshawa., not on-line. Was advised none available for the 4th, the agent booked the 10 ft. truck at Thornton and King, Oshawa location.When we went to pick up truck it had been booked for 8 p.m. tonight by agent,. No more 10 ft. left. Ended up booking through the phone, confirmed a 10ft. at Station St. location in Ajax. Drove like mad man to that location, lined up for about 40 min. as they only had one person on duty, other employee had quit, when we got to the counter our truck was not available, had been given to someone else. Had to take a 9ft. cargo van to Hamilton, of course not big enough, will now have to rent again and go back to Hamilton to pick up remaining furniture in a couple of weeks. Costing me twice as much. What an absolute nightmare. Will never deal with U-Haul again.

Worst experience ever. I had a truck reserved and confirmed by phone call the day before pick up at your Scarborough location (1555 Weston rd.) Upon arrival at the scheduled time (9:00am) I was greeted by an employee who asked me what I needed; then proceeded to sit on the phone for 25 minutes without telling me what was going on. She then decided to finally inform me that they did not have the 15’ truck I reserved and then told me the only truck of that size available was in Ajax (2 cities and over an hour drive in traffic from where I live in downtown Toronto). The delay ruined my move day and caused problems for everybody involved as I was unable to be out of my place by the required time. I am a professional mover who has worked in the industry for two years and expected a lot more organization from uhaul. I will be letting people know how I feel about uhaul when I am moving customers and will be referring people elsewhere when they need truck rental and storage services.

This location was the option for a smaller truck than the one i reserved. The day before i received a msg that the location for may rental was moved to 4095 kingston road in scarborough 25 mins away at 8 am. I was there at that time an nobody was there even with a sign that says open at 7 am. After waiting 1/2 an hour i c alled an wait 10 minutes to somebody to respond the answer was wait 10 to 15 min more to see if somebody shows. After another 20 min i called again the answer after a while is call another number. In this new number they said that i have to wait 1 hour and a half for the manager to show at the site. As this was not an option i accepted a smaller truck at this new location. Result a nightmare

Advise people at the onset that the $19.95 per day does not necessarily mean that you have it booked for a day. I feel it should be 24 hours from the time you check out the vehicle without having to make a special request.

The truck was so dirty. Not what I am used too. The agent who showed me the truck was very nice. She tried to clean the two exterior door frames as they were covered in a black grease film. She noticed the dirty and tried to clean it without me saying anything. The cab smelled like old sweaty men and possibly pee not sure. The windows appeared like they never had been clean inside.

Unfriendly staff in this location. Nobody notifies you when your equipment is ready for pick up, they made mistakes and make you feel that it's your fault when it can be simply fixed with an apology.
