Representative was extremely rude and unhelpful. Treated me like I was an inconvenience to them. I made a reservation for a 20 foot truck and he tried to pass a 26 foot truck to me and refused to honor the reservation I made for the 20 foot truck so ultimately I had to work with someone else. Literally one of the rudest human beings I have ever met. Texting on his phone while he was supposed to ring me out, was very vague on location of truck, I get he couldn’t walk out and show me with other customers in line. But maybe point to the location or describe where it’s parked instead of highlighting a piece of paper and shoving it in my face and having me walk out in 20 degree weather to read illegible markings on the ground. Moving is honestly stressful enough and this person made it a 1000 times worse. I would have been better off with self serve so I didn’t have to deal with him. Also, I reserved a dolly and he was like well we don’t have one and you’re going to have to go to another uhaul if you want one. Just literally the worst experience with uhaul ever.
SUSAN KThe plug on the trailer i rented was damaged and the right turn signal didn't work but the person who hooked up my trailer didn't mention that. I noticed when i left and got a notification from my truck saying that a bulb was out. The woman who checked me out may have said a total of 4 words the entire time I was there, she was thrilled to be working.
JON HVery grateful that there was the opportunity to.take advantage of 1 free month of storage. It helped me tremendously. I definitely will recommend U-Haul to others.

JAMES PGas gauge was not where it was when I got in the vehicle as to what was on the paper. Tire pressure low light on. Tried to call from the parking lot and was put on hold for more than 5 minutes, so just left with the tire light on. Should have been told about it or company should have rectified. Was not acknowledged when first came in the door. Gentleman taking in the vehicles upon return was very nice and helpful. I felt bad for him as he had about 7 vehicles in line to get turned in.
TERRI OTerrible!! There was a blunt/joint stepped on in the truck the trucks are so dirty inside you can tell they don’t get wiped and definitely get smoked in on the regular. They drive terrible. Location parking lot was nothing but ice surrounding the inside we skated until we got to the door they could have put salt down. No dolly’s even though the boy told the women they were in the cage she didn’t want to go look you could tell so she just said they weren’t in there. Then she answered her personal phone in the middle of helping me loudly and abruptly “who’s calling Tina to stress me out more today” I’m guess she was the manager either way service terrible I think her name was Tina I’m not sure. Bringing it back those the girl super nice super friendly.
Amy SRenting and accessibility were fast and convenient. Although when exiting the facility I think the card access should be made more visible to patrons. I understand now why the fence near the exit is in the condition that it’s in.

KEISHA DStaff was not at all friendly, personable, or helpful. They seemed bothered by having to do their job, and tried to pass off as much responsibility as possible to me (moving the vehicle again, using the app for checkout, etc.). The truck was also not clean inside (I swept up a lot of dust, dirt, leaves, etc.) and had garbage in the cab.
RILDE LI wanted to take a moment to comment the excellence service from Chris Millard and his staff. Thank you for an easy process and wonderful service.
THOMAS PI waited for several minutes in the equipment drop-off area and nothing happened. Finally I went inside (during heavy snow) and the staff yelled through a closed door that I needed to go around the building to another entrance. After getting there, they told me someone had already come out to meet me and I could return to my vehicle. Then the person guided me to park the trailer in a snow-covered lot with no vehicle traction. Not a positive experience overall. They also charged me an additional day for being a couple hours later than expected due to heavy snowfall making travel impossible any earlier.
RILDE LInside of the trailer was a bit dirty. Also, the tie-down d-rings were not all present. One tie-down was broken and there was a bolt rolling around inside the trailer. Overall I made it work.

CHRISTOPHER BIt all started when I reserved a 20foot trailer and was suppose to get a call or email prior to my pickup date which was suppose to be When I entere12/28/2024. The lady that helped me had put in 1/28/2025. I did not catch this so that is why I never received anything. I call in 12/27/2024 to check why I hadn't heard anything. So the lady said the date issue and she said someone would call me by 6pm that same night. I never heard anything so I called at 7pm and they said they did not have a truck but gave me a 26footer for the same price. When I came in at 7am on the 28th the lady never even greeted me. I gave her my last name. She had a terrible attitude from the beginning. She asked where I was going and I said to a storage unit in Williamston. She was upset she had to redo something, so she never spoke to me again. It was absolutely the worst customer experience I have ever had period. I will never come back to the V Odom location again. If someone would like to call me they can. The lady was more interested in smoking her cigar that taking care of a customer. My copy of the contract was not even signed. It says Tasha J. The gentleman in Williamstown where Tasha had said there wasn't a drop off there was very nice and helped a lot. He was excellent Hos name was John Koontz. There is more to this story but The lady that disrespected me in V Odom should be reprimanded or fired. I'm sure this isn't her first problem with her attitude.

NORMAN B | Overall ExperienceUpon arrival, we waited inside alone until someone finally came inside and called us to the counter. When we were finalizing the rental, they told us the location we chose when booking was not an option. We were never notified of this change before pick up. The gentleman at the counter was not very helpful or caring. When we got out to the truck, it was 20’ instead of 15’ like we reserved. We went back inside to talk to the man who gave us the keys and he said it was because they didn’t have any 15’ trucks. Again, this wasn’t communicated with us before pick up and we were able to choose a 15’ trucks online. We then went to leave and the truck was making a very loud metal on metal scraping noise and there was no way we could drive 2 hours with a truck like that. We then had to go inside for a second time and ask for a different truck. Before leaving in the second truck we realized they never gave us the furniture pads we ordered so we had to go in a third time. The people working the counter were not very helpful and didn’t seem to know much about our reservation.
KATHLEEN DI rented a U-Haul from the Tallmadge location a few days prior, tried to get another one but were sold out and had to come here. Will never go there again, I’ve never seen a U-Haul place ran like that.

Tyezhe W | Overall ExperienceStaff that I worked with was very unpleasant, and was not helpful in pointing out the location of my vehicle. The vehicle itself was not in great condition as the drivers seat was ripped, cup holders were dirty, etc. Upon return, the team member I worked with was very kind. However, it was still a distracting and odd experience as other team members were talking to customers on speaker phone, making it difficult to hear and focus on the team member I was working with. Additionally, they were not able to print a final receipt for me and I never received one via email, which I need in order to submit for reimbursement from the organization I was assisting.
Nicole BMaybe on the uhaul phones instead of putting “if found please return to nearest uhaul for reward”, you put “if found outside of a uhaul location, or if found outside of uhaul property, please return to nearest uhaul for reward”. So people like me don’t find a phone in the truck before leaving and turn it in thinking I’m gonna get a reward and I don’t. Lol

Robert AI needed to rent a car tow dolly to retrieve a non-running car to bring it home for repairs. Checked online, and this location had one available. Reserved online and picked it up an hour later. Rental process in store was quick and easy. Outside, the first dolly we hooked up had a non-working taillight. The question was "is it my connection or the dolly's? The Associate said he had a tester, which he retrieved immediately. It revealed the problem was indeed with that dolly. He switched me over to the other dolly nearby, and everything worked wonderfully. Great experience!

KRYSTAL WI went there like 5 times in one week and every time I had to wait for over 30 minutes. If that’s normal , maybe put a sign up or something telling us that we will be waiting for over a half an hour for someone to help us. Whether it’s a line or no line. Because I waited in line behind people and I waited at the desk with nobody in line. Or maybe hire more workers if needed. Thanks
TYEZHE WI rented 2 trucks in as many days. Both could have been cleaner and serviced better. The staff was knowledgeable, however could have offered other products offered. They were out of basic needs, such as any Dolly's for several customers. I will continue to be a U-haul customer.
SAMANTHA-LEIGH JThe two people working behind the desk are rude, does not make you feel welcomed, on their personal cell phone while customers are trying to get the truck and leave and this took about 30 minutes off the rental time. The gas was less than on the paper the link expired when asked the clerk to help all I got was I'll send another link which I did not receive and not once did this clerk look at me, no thank you, have a good day nothing. Plus I was given another customers receipt and the other customer got mind with my address and other information. I will no longer rent from U Haul I will find a different place if needed. Rented 2 times this month and both experience was the worst customer service ever.
TONY SThe location was clean and convenient, but the staff had a terrible attitude. When we picked up and when we returned the truck. She made several snide remarks about the gas and the convenient fee for fuel upon pick up. When we returned the truck we had taken a picture of the time date with fuel and returned the truck in the same order. Same lady very snide about the fuel amount and making remarks about "how lucky we returned it with the right amount of fuel." Making kissy faces with her coworker. Telling us "your lucky you returned the truck clean." I found them unprofessional.
TODD KLove this location for accessibility. The staff doesn't seem to be having any good days. I have rented multiple times and they are always eating at the counter. Maybe set a small space aside for your staff to take their lunch break. It seems like it's an inconvenience when you approach them sometimes they are just not in a good mood.
LUCIA GEveryone at this location was rude that I was in contact with. It seemed that nobody wanted to be there.
JAHLIL UHowever, my Reservations was for Pick-UP at ANOTHER location, 237 Fountain St. ( I will TRY to NEVER go BACK THERE again😖🤨(which I was somewhat RELUCTANT towards because of the LAST vehicle was in HORRIBLE-condition ), n my Reservation-vehicle WAS NOT available WHEN I arrived for Pick-UP, even THIS TIME.

I asked him several times and he called downtown Akron location and they were also out of pads.i did not have time to drive all over town and also add miles to my rental. I asked if they had some old ones lying around as I needed them for my short move. He said he would look and it would take a few minutes. He was back in 15 mins with bags of new pads. Just seemed lazy….

Ruby EI sent a complaint about the manager that was there very rude lady act like she didn’t want to help me which I found to be very unprofessional (and she was a African American woman) I only put this because I didn’t get her name but she said she was the manager I will never recommend anyone to go to that establishment
RAYE MRented an appliance dolly, and there was none with the truck when I arrived after hours. Really can’t move a freezer without an appliance dolly, which is why I rented one
Mike CDead mice species all over the unit. A rat feces all over the unit .. inform staff several times never got a call back never did anything about the the dead mice took several pictures and staff never did anything about it

JUDY FWhen I booked the van, I was not aware that current proof of my personal auto insurance was required at pickup. This location was not near my home nor my moving destination but I had to use it as the van I needed was there. The fact that I had to turn around and drive back across town to obtain proof of insurance and then back to location cost me an hour of usage and was a waste of my time and gas. That should be explained more clearly at booking.

Then threatened to cancel my reservation “if I was not careful & then the truck would be considered ‘stolen’ I felt threatened by her actions. This location was poor and despicable. The truck is old, low powered & the doors on cab had to be slammed to shut properly.

Then I finally get someone and they can't find my storage unit. Then I get the card to enter and it doesn't work. Then I realized I have paperwork with a different person's name on it. I now have Colin Farley's address,email, phone etc. I must say that is a violation of a person's rights. I may just call them and let them know what has happened.it took me 4 times for them to get my information right in the system. At one point they lost me. I got held up 2 hours from getting my stuff placed in storage and had to rent the truck longer. In turn just costed me another 100 bucks.
CHERIE F | First ImpressionsI’m happy about the new location which recently opened on Vernon Odom Boulevard. I wish there was availability for my boat. Your paperwork shows that I can park vehicles for an additional $25 by having a unit. I currently have the boat stored about 20 miles or so away from here in Ravenna, Ohio. I live, probably a mile and a half from this facility. That was one of the reasons I switched to this location to be able to store my boat, but I found out that that wasn’t possible. I still am relocating, however, from Storage Of America to a unit with U-Haul.

I assumed it would only show me outdoor units but gave me options for indoor which I didn’t notice until I got to the storage facility. There weren’t any outdoor units available at this location. Indoor units shouldn’t have shown in the results in the first place. When I arrived the staff member looked annoyed I was even there asking. Had me feeling like I was the bad guy for asking to switch to an outdoors unit. It came off rude and had me feeling really uncomfortable.

I see no reason for this as it was a smaller unit, it was not in the climate controlled area, there was no type of power to the unit. I emptied the unit and moved everything to another facility with a unit double the size and $50 cheaper in price. Yet still in a secure facility.
