Everything went fine until I had to return it and found out that neither the website nor the app were working. I called the one 800 U-Haul number and was on hold for 40 minutes!!!!!

MICHAEL M.I have used other Uhaul locations and received excellent customer service, from the time of arrival, having all equipment requested ready and return. The Vernon Odom location was the opposite. I had to go look for truck and the requested equipment was outside the building door. The general manager was not helpful nor did he even go over and beyond to make my visit pleasant.
Anita S.I started out with a 15 foot truck reservation completed via the website. After I completed my reservation it gave me the option to add on a utility trailer, I thought this is a great idea so I did. I changed all my plans to accommodate this new combination of equipment. Upon my arrival at the U-Haul location, I was informed that it is not possible to rent these two vehicles together, and I could only take the truck, or the trailer if I had my own pickup truck. I informed them that the website clearly gave me this option, and they told me it had been going on for 24 years and that's just the way it is. The best part is they showed no remorse, no apology, nothing. Terrible customer service and an awful experience. Uhaul really has to get it together.

I had to walk her out there and show her to be able to take the dolly that I had paid for with me. Also when we got the truck didn't notice at the time but when we were filling it up driver side wiper blade was completely broken and not usable we then had to call to get roadside assistance to come replace. The first person we spoke to was extraordinarily rude and wouldn't help I had to hang up and call back to get any other person to help us

VELIMIR J.Rented a 10ft box truck drove not even 5 minutes down the road then check engine light came on. Went back told them about it. Was told they were aware of the problem and said it was fine. Wasn't offered another truck since I brought up my concern. Not only was the check engine light the inside of the cab had a horrible smell (body oder) of a person who seemed like they washed themselves in months. Also the back of the truck smelled like someone was hauling car parts engine grease smell etc.

Then argue about the time allotted, trying to charge a “jump feeâ€. Very unprofessional and dangerous. I was driving through the WV turnpike at the time. One of the most dangerous stretches of interstate in the USA. Not to mention driving and talking on the phone is unlawful.
Dave H.The only problem I had with my U-Haul experience is originally I reserved a U-Haul on Mina Road Which was 1 mile from my hotel and 2 miles from my event .Mina Road U-Haul called to let me know they did not have size truck and I would have to go to the v.Odom uhaul which was 10 miles away from my hotel and 12 miles from my event . So because Mina Road did not have my size truck available after I reserved it I ended up paying for 22 extra miles. In my opinion in situations like that I don't think the customer should be charge for the miles.
Angela H.Properly service the trucks. The steering system in this truck was so bad that it nearly caused a wreck. Fill the fuel tank before I arrive. Clean the truck properly, who wants to drive a dirty truck inside and out.
Richard S.Was told make sure tank was at a half after I signed papers went to leave truck had 1/8th tank of gas I also had to call roadside assistance because I locked key in truck the person who lied moment times didnt show up before parking closed for the night so when I re called this morning was told to would be 70 minutes until he showed wasnt 2 minutes later the guy called said he was at hotel I told him that we would be down mind you we stayed on the 12th floor and was to check out also once we get downstairs no assistant there so my husband walked over to parking garage meantime the assistant started being impatient rude and saying the he had other jobs to get to also kept saying he was at garage and he wasnt husband walked 3 flights of steps 3 separate times because the guy said he was there and he wasnt he had to no extra key not sure how he intended to help with no key this man should never ever be allowed to work for the public ever he wouldnt answer any questions we couldn't get tailgate to open so my husband asked how tech said I didnt come here for that and left who does that he made us 2 hours late turning truck back in caused alot of unnecessary drama for us we are older hubby has diabetes and heart disease he didnt need the stress caused by this rude pompous ass

Also, it would have been extremely nice if there were dumpsters available to put trash in (possibly even just a recycle pile for boxes/cardboard, papers, etc.) especially since I felt that the monthly cost was high and it would be a reasonable service to provide.
