No pun intended but I traveled a long road before I was able to get what I needed to make the trip successful. First I ordered a hitch to be installed on my vehicle so I could tow your car carrier. I was promised a date for installation. The hitch never arrived in time for the installation meaning I would not be able to take my trip. But because I was very proactive calling the local branch every day for an update we were able to get the hitch ordered from another location and get it transferred to the installation location. None of this would've happened unless I was on top of it and pushing pushing pushing. When the hitch arrived your technician was unable to install. So U-Haul said I had the correct hitch but they advised me they were not able to do the installation even though we had the proper hitch. So now I had no vehicle to tow the car carrier. I drove to another U-Haul location and it wasn't until then that I found out you had pick up trucks that can tow. This other location unlike the first location offered me the vehicle A pick up truck add a flat rate of $.69 per mile. I was traveling about 1200 miles and that would've been a very expensive rental. At this point I thought I would not be able to make the trip so I instinctively drove to the location that I had a reservation for the car carrier that's a car transport carrier. When I got there I saw they had five pick up trucks and offered to rent me one for a flat rate of $330 per week including 750 miles. Something that the other two locations did not make me aware of. So it seems like different locations offer different things and there is no common offering at all the locations. Also even though the reservation was originally made through your corporate office in Arizona there is very little communication between the customer the branch that's doing the installation and your corporate office. And again if I wasn't on top of everything day every single day making phone calls I never would've been able to make The trip. So well I had success in the end it was because I took the bull by the horns and kept picking away until I got a location to give me what I needed. Again there seems to be little if any communication between your corporate office and what's going on at the branch level. Why didn't the very first branch you couldn't get the hitch on tell me that you guys had pick up trucks and call around to help me find a pick up truck at another location again I was not even aware you had pick up trucks until I continued to drive around to other U-Haul locations. In the offer that was made to me by the third location where I finally got the pick up truck and also rented the transport carrier that location was offering me something entirely different than the first two locations offeredSo once again there does not seem to be consistency between your branches and your people need to be trained better on helping people problem solve by using U-Haul's and making people aware of U-Haul's options. I went in to change my reservation date and time for the next day. The team member was having a conversation about Jell-O shots and going to Walmart as I stood there waiting. I asked if I could switch from an auto transport to a transport dolly. Not only would it save me $ but also be leas weight to travel with. The team member explained to me there were non available at the Alafaya location. She did not offer me another location or call another location to verify. She then explained I needed to verify if the. At could be transported by dolly based on the make and model. I explained I had checked online and my 2021 Honda CRV could be transported by dolly. No other option was given. I left and called Uhaul over the phone spoke w Casey who offered me several locations nearby to pick up a dolly from. He also changed my reservation date and time for both the truck and dolly. His service was exceptional. He really put me at ease.Jorge S.

I was lied to about being able to return the car whenever I wanted. I specifically asked twice if I can return at any time and she said â€œyes all you have to do is drop the keys offâ€. The next day I woke up to an additional $20 charge because I didn't return it on the app, which she never specified, and they wouldn't return my money back. the trailer was really junk, it leaked on my $2500 furniture. It looked like it had been through multiple wrecks a burn, All the wood tie downs were broken. lug nuts rusted on, hitch tightener was rusted had to put WD40 to get it to spin. the trailer should go straight to the dump. I rent a lot from you this is by far the worst. Returned it in one day but charged for 3Kimberly D.

I was disappointed with the customer service I received. The agent that helped process my rental paperwork was too busy texting someone to bother to notice me when I was standing at the counter in front of her and was looking at her phone during the majority of the transaction. In addition she paused to have a conversation with her co-worker about a credit card she was getting approved for right in the middle of the transaction. The vehicle felt as though it needed springs and or shocks as it was very bounchy and was absolutely terrible on bumps. We traveled about 20-25 miles put in 4 gallons of gas and was charged for an additional 2 gallons, which means the truck got about 4 miles to the gallon.The checking in and out process was made very simple by the attendants.RICHARD B.

Service personnel were kind and professional. Truck was clean but was in desperate need of maintenance. The driver door would not close unless it was slammed shut very hard. The techs on-site had to show me how to slam it before I left. The transmission on the truck would hesitate to shift gears throughout my moving trip. Highly recommend reviewing that truck before the next rental. The biggest complaint I have is with your website check in and check out process. Both times at this location the website could not see my location. Even though I had that feature on. I spoke with an employee on-site and he said that they have seen it not work sometimes. As a nationwide corporation, that is unacceptable to have a web base service that doesn't work. You advise easy , but in the end it causes more headache for the customer. Please fix this. Stop stealing from customers by charging bogus fuel charges. I drove the vehicle a total of 3 milesâ€¦.as in 1-2-3â€¦and refueled 1gal. of gas to cover. The fuel bar picture indicated I had used 1/4 tank of gas. The odometer readings show the truth (3 miles). I was charged over $26 for fuel. That's stealing.JOSEPH F.
I've been stuck inside of the uhaul lot for 30 minutes now, no one answers the phone and I don't know what to do. Call the cops? Drive through a large ditch at night during a storm? They also overcharged us, paid an additional $90 to be basically kidnapped at night with no security, no contact number, and a corporate office who cares nothing about answering the phone. Storage site has animal problem, racoons size scat found all over my belongings. Half the time I had to go to office in order to get to my unit due to code errors. One time a payment was never ran, even though I had autopay, wanted to charge me a late fee. Always chaotic and hectic in the office. Had a left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing feel.
