I had a very frustrating and confusing experience with this location. Throughout the rental process, I was shown multiple different prices — far more than what would be reasonable or transparent. Instead of a clear breakdown (original price, fees, and remaining balance), I encountered constantly changing totals.
At one point, the total shown was approximately 18 times higher than the original amount I was quoted. There was no clear explanation for how that increase occurred, which makes it extremely difficult to trust the billing process. Pricing should be straightforward and consistent, but that was not my experience at all.
Additionally, while I was there picking up a trailer, another customer was dealing with a very similar issue involving a trailer return. She did not speak English well and was clearly confused about what she had been told. Staff were discussing among themselves that “U-Haul wouldn’t have told her that,” which suggests a breakdown in communication somewhere. Her situation sounded almost identical to mine, except she was unable to fully communicate what happened.
Overall, the process felt unclear, inconsistent, and unnecessarily complicated. I would strongly recommend improving transparency in pricing and ensuring customers fully understand their charges before and after rental.

Uhaul App times out to quickly for pictures. Location should be able to reset. Trucks decent not extremely clean, I don’t think the location cleans them, but it was a newer truck so it wasn’t that bad. Compartment under the middle seat had dried spilled coffee. Once I noticed, I just didn’t use it. Truck ran well so the important things were very good.

I had to ask what the process was for returning vehicles. At other locations I was greeted when I pulled up to the return lot. When I pulled up here the associate was cleaning another truck. I run a local business near this location and recommend daily for people to rent a vehicle for contour delivery service does not fit there need. Great location and team.

The UHaul store 956056 on Colonial Dr. is the best in the Orlando area. The staff are always courteous and friendly. The equipment is always clean and well maintained. I rent from this store regularly. I rented a car hauler and Mr Fisher took care of me again. He is efficient and pleasant to work with.

I completed the all the paperwork in the mobile app prior to arrival, put my payment information in and everything was done all I needed was the keys. I was told on arrival the van I chose requires me to pay 15.00 for the insurance and that it was a new policy for their region. Mind you I already signed the contract on the mobile said which said nothing of sorts and it allowed for me to hold the van for me to pick it up. Needless to say, U-Haul needs to get their act together this felt like a total bait and switch! The employees remained professional so this is not a review on them rather on management and how they run their business!

Customer service.....customer service! At least act like you're happy to see people use your place. How about walking your customer out to the vehicle, make sure they don't have any questions about its operation, load the hand truck for them. Just act like you want the best experience for them.

This location gets such high volume, that it should have a second entrance towards the back of the property entering the neighboring parking lot. I’m sure even the employees would like this, it gets hard to even turn your personal car around in the lot. Aside from that it is a great uhaul spot

There was an unexpected charge of $15 for insurance. This was not conveyed when the online reservation allowed me to opt out of paying for the unnecessary insurance. I would have used an alternative service, or at least a different truck, to mitigate this unnecessary charge if I was informed ahead of when I had to pay.

Shaq & his staff earned a 10+.
The level of service,, courtesy and knowledge was very clear with the info on the rental trucks. They were all very friendly, professional and helpful. Ricardo was excellent too! It’s a busy location but I was never rushed. The building/storage I eventually rented was very clean and it remained that way at all times. What I found incredible was how they maintained a public bathroom so clean.
Movng is one of the biggest stressors one can experience and Shaquille Davis and his team definitely helped me get through a tough time with a smile.
I have recommended this location in particular to friends, family and will continue to do so because I truly can say I had an EXCELLENT experience with U Haul at the East Orlando location because of Shaq…..thank you! Wishing you all continued success!!

The storage part of the location is fine. The staff in the office are very friendly and helpful. However, the location is too small and congested for the amount of Uhaul equipment on the lot, which leaves very little room to get in or out for loading/unloading into the storage lockers. Though it would be costly, it might be better if Uhaul would either store some of their equipment off site, or entirely move the equipment rental operation to another location.

24 hour access was not working, the check in boxes were not working very well ever. My unit was first overbooked so I ended up with a smaller unit than I needed. I was generally pleased with this facility but would like to comment on the fact that the main access door was broken and unavailable when I went to empty out the unit. This made it very difficult to vacate the unit. There was a small side entrance available but and it was just a nuisance and inconvenience. I’m sure it was a temporary thing but I didn’t even see any staff making an effort to fix the issue.

I booked a unit online, then received a call a few days before move in stating that it had been overbooked and I no longer had a unit. The associate who called said they could get me a bigger unit and a month free which was great. I thought everything was resolved and my move in date was scheduled for July 16th. Upon arrival to the office on July 16th, it turns out the unit had been scheduled for move in on July 13th unbeknownst to myself. So, I now have to use a much smaller unit and must stand up the couch I needed to store vertically. The only reason I am giving two stars is due to the manager attempting to make up for the error by giving me the first month free. If not for that, I would give one star. Regardless, I never plan on using U-Haul storage again.

Some of my items in the storage were damaged from the heat and humidity in the unit's when the AC broke down for 4 or 5 days. But they gave everyone a month free for the 85+ degrees. Outside of that, the staff is great and very professional.

roaches all in my outside unit and the A/C as broken during check out having the workers work in hot air. Just the overall worse experience ever. I had to replace a lot of furniture and wash every piece clothing I owned spending excess money that’s I didn’t have. Then when I got to try to access my outside unit there are uhaul trucks blocking me from exiting .

2nd time using this storage facility and anytime I have clothes, sheets, dolls in the unit, they always come back with mold on them. I had sheets there to cover up my other things and when I removed it on the day of the move out it had a huge black stain.

I rented outside storage and on many occasions my unit was blocked with uhaul rental trucks if i needed access before 7pm they moved them for me but after 7pm I was unable to use my unit

Staff was courteous and very helpful. My only complaint is that for three days at the end of my rental four September they would not prorate the three days or even a week and charge me a full months storage when I really didn’t need it even after I rented a truck.

Storage site has animal problem, racoons size scat found all over my belongings. Half the time I had to go to office in order to get to my unit due to code errors. One time a payment was never ran, even though I had autopay, wanted to charge me a late fee. Always chaotic and hectic in the office. Had a left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing feel. Obvious high turnover at this location. Will not use u-haul again for storage.

I did not get my refund for the month of October. I had checked out before the end of September and I still got charged for the month of October. I had called the customer service number they had put into the system to get my refund and I never did. Also, I never go a phone call back about it! Someone needs to fix this.

The entirety of the property is too small and unsafe for customers in every way possible. Trucks and vehicles are double parked, there is no space for turn around, and no space for parking in general. No assistance was provided in accessing my unit and dollys were not offered for use. This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at any storage facility.
