The truck bed was very dirty. We swept it out and moved forward.

Larry LWas told to return the truck with the same amount of gas in it as when I picked it up. When I picked the truck up I drove it across the street and filled it up and it took 29 gallons.

JANICE YThe truck I reserved was parked in - had to ask someone to move another truck so I could even inspect the vehicle. The blankets I ordered were not in the truck. The key I was given did not unlock the truck’s padlock. Disinterested staff were slow to help me out. I wasted 30 min getting started - very frustrating. The app is TERRIBLE - would not upload photos. However, I was pleased with the very helpful, friendly staffer when I returned the truck (he was great!!!)!

DIRK HThis is an extremely convenient option. I had a rolloff dumpster delivered and arranged for extra pods to load and told my family where and when to show up. Nobody had to drive back and forth anywhere they loaded my house up in 1.5 hours and were on their way to their own lives. Next day I called UHAUL and Dumpster company and told them to come pick up. Stress free and not back breaking!!! This is so much easier then any other way you have planned and AFFORDABLE. My house stuff is in a private location at UHAUL Storage until I need it delivered to my next home. Outstanding service!!!
Lori SThe general manager is not accommodating and angry when he register my rent. Not sure what’s going on with him. I drove and monitored my mileage and i was just 20 miles total but charged me 44 miles.

keith H"Open" sign was on but the door was locked. Key drop seemed to be broken. There were several of us trying to drop off equipment. Someone finally found an employee who just collected everyone's keys. It was close but it wasn't closing time yet.
Cindy CI can’t think of anything. It was extremely easy to do and the pickup truck i rented was exceptionally comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Important for an old man like me.

Kyle KOnly one worker present on busy Saturday morning. Stood in line for an hour to get rental. Truck bed wasn't swept. Received a text after departure requesting confirmation of truck license plate and inspection results. Didn't see the text until after the link had expired.

SAMANTHA NI was in the office for 20 minutes before anyone showed up. I used the phone intercom and walked the area outside. Then trying to return the train was another mess. I could not get the code on my phone to check in at bringing it back
CLIFFORD AI sent a previous note on my experience Saturday, Sept. 10th waiting 1 hour to be checked in at 9 am. I wanted to add to this. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS MOVE WAS THE DEDICATED MOVING COMPANY that I booked through Uhaul. The 2 men knew what they were doing! They were friendly and efficient.
DIANA PThe person who checked our trailer out did not secure the trailer to the hitch, we had issues all day and the trailer came off the hitch at one point. We were able to get it secured but were disappointed that the person did not secure the trailer properly.
KALI BStand up and greet your customers. The interior front and back was clean but the exterior left something to be desired in regards to cleanliness. This was by far the worst experience that I have ever had with Uhaul. It will definitely be a long time before I use you again.

JOHN M#1. The container was on the trailer backwards. Had to come back to the store to get it turned around. #2. I had requested the use of the trailer for the 3 weeks I used the container only to find out that could not happen. #3. When I requested the container from storage. I was told they couldn't do that because they didn't have enough trailers. However Jason found one and got the container out so we could move the belongings back into an apartment. We returned the trailer and empty container the same day(8-15-2025. #4. On 8-25-2025 I was charged another $52 for rent. The refund has been processed, but It has.not made it into my account yet. Your app was not helpful in regards to most of this. I do appreciate how helpful Jadon has been!!!
JOSEPH BDuring the transport hitch setup the rep noticed one of the tire web constraints was badly frayed. So he brought this to his managers attention and they promptly reassigned me a new transport trailer. I appreciate the rep finding this and rectifying the situation. Good Service

VICTORIA SI would have said excellent, but my most recent experience has dulled my view of things a bit. I had a storage shed, emptied it, and turned in the card and lock. I was told I'd get an email receipt. I got nothing. I called and couldn't get in touch with the facility so I spoke to the support people who told me to wait until the next day. Still the shed remained open. I called again and couldn't get to a person. I ended up stopping in my way home as this was an out of state rental for my daughter. I got it straightened out but I feel I only did because I went in person.

STEPHEN CMy check in was made easy, by the attendant. He was quick, pleasant and helpful. Check in was easy too, same person, he made it very easy for me to get my return done quickly. The only issue was the trucks A/C was not working properly and it was a hot humid day. I understand if they had not been told before, no one would know to do the maintenance.

I wanted to tell you not only was he courteous, friendly, and very helpful, explaining everything to us in detail as this was our first time renting a storage unit. There was a problem with the security system and he couldn't get our cards or codes to work. It took a while, and he escalate the issue multiple times until he got it resolved, which took about an hour. During this entire situation he remained courteous, keeping my wife and I in the loop, and even when other customers stated showing up, never made us feel that our issue wasn't his top priority. He did get the issue resolved and we were able to use and access our shed. I was very impressed by the facility and the service I received and I would absolutely recommend uhaul and specifically the Ankeny location.

But he handled it very well and took time to help each customer, to meet their needs. He helped us 110%. We were able to get our trailer and go get moved. When we brought the trailer back, Luke, another employee, that did not call in, helped us get set up with our storage unit. He was very helpful and patient. He took the time we needed to go through the process. He answered every question with thorough knowledge. And he was very polite and kind. Thank you for a great experience!

I called and spoke with Jason Hatch, who said “we closed 5 minutes ago” when I asked what time they closed. The assistant manager that I spoke with when I arrived the next morning was excellent. There was a small wait because he was helping a gentleman that had called before they opened! He was extremely empathetic to my situation and completely turned my experience around. I think he also mentioned it was only his second week, props to him. Give that man a raise.
