First the van I reserved was down for safety issues, got bumped up to a box truck. Ok but then after I was a 1/4 of the way into my trip the service traction system lights came on. When I tried to return the truck was on the phone with the corporate office for 30min as we tried to wake up the associate by phone,text, and banging on the doors,windows, and walls. There were 3 other customers there waiting with me trying to get trucks and products. Very dissatisfied with my interaction with this location.

Attendant in Ayer MA, Douglas Frenette, was not friendly at all, I was greeted with (Verbatim) “Oh, one more. You will have to wait.”, and continuously made remarks that were out of place. He even mentioned that that was not his store and he was overwhelmed, which was noticeable. The truck needed alignment, as the back wheels were tilted and I had to drive constantly steering to the right. Not safe. Not pleased. Overall, everything was just ok.

Everything went well enough though I was not provided with the furniture pads I requested and paid for. When I returned the truck the agent was not able to provide a refund at that time so I am waiting for it.

I made a resv (spoke to a resv person at UHaul) for a van for 48 hours. Went all the way out to this store only to be told that they could only rent the van to me for 8 hours. Create a big problem for me in moving my daughter. Disappointing.

The rows could use a re-paving, 4” cracks in pavement make it hard to drive a truck smoothly through the rows at any speed. a school bus just outside my unit made it impossible to back up to the unit

I rented one of the few units that was not protected by a gate, yet still had to pay the same price as other units that were. The owner seemed annoyed whenever I went in & was not friendly or helpful.

I ordered from one location and was sent to another location with very little notice. This isn't the fault of the location, but the fault of Uhaul. I would never use Uhaul again in a situation that where time was critical.

Very convenient location for me and pickup and dropoff went smoothly. I would and have recommended this locations to friends. During my initial contact ,made via uhaul.com, I was told that the Ayer location no longer rented trailers and I was told to use the Nashua, NH location, but a call directly to the Ayer location showed that that information was incorrect and that they had no plans to stop renting trailers. I will deal directly with the Ayer location from now on as it seems like the online information is unreliable.

It was pretty busy when we arrived and upon return of the trailer. There was only one person waiting and while I was completing my rental I had to check the rating on the hitch and when I came in a few seconds later the clerk had starting working on another customer and continued to complete that customer's rental even though I was sitting in the chair. I have not rented in a while and was surprised that they now need to take photos of my ID which I feel is really not necessary. Also the processes took a long time to complete. We really spent more time waiting to rent, complete the reservation and return the trailer that actually using the trailer. Also not sure why all the photos of the ID and the connected trailer to the car are needed. You guys have been pretty successful without and I believe it took longer with it. If there was another option with less hassle and no ID scanning I would go for it but since you guys have cornered the market pretty much I guess I will have to save up and buy my own some day. Thanks

I waited at the office, blew my horn, and beat on the door for 90 mins, Your gen mngr, George Whitney was asleep on duty at 2:30 pm with the office doors unlocked. I will never be back.

I've rented storage units and trucks from other UHaul locations in the past. Overall the Ayer location was much better to deal with. 24 hour access is convenient and units were clean and dry.

I don't think it's fair that I should pay $75 a month like everyone else when my storage unit is OUTSIDE of the protected fenced area. My monthly fee should be reduced.

I was thinking of using them again. I live down the street from the Uhaul facility from central street, leominster. Did not like the people and they jacked up the prices for storage. I do like aye

My box arrived broken into and completely disheveled. I was shocked nothing was stolen. The lack of communication between uhaul and movers made my life very difficult.

Staff friendly but not super competent - several tries to get a functioning unit (broken door, couldn’t switch in the system, etc.) The unit itself was pretty dirty & a cigarette butt found on one box

Its not good. The security gate is always broken or vandalized and so made ussless. There are large portions of the outside fence missing or damaged. This is a high crime area and you have no security
