JASON HThe process of renting a 5 x 8 trailer for $18.95 (an 8 hour rental) was exhausting, and I felt like the process to do so assumed I was a criminal. Dropping off the unit after hours (but prior to my 7 pm time due) was very convoluted. The Uhaul app was not working, and it took numerous attempts before I could get it to work (after scanning the QR code). After scanning the QR code, there was no where to enter my contract / rental agreement number in order to make the process clean. It was a very poor and time consuming process. Clearly if I had to do it all over, I would make sure my rental hours dictated a drop off while the place wis staffed. The process of hooking the trailer up at the time of pick up (after registration) was very good. The gentleman performing that function was good to work with. The rest of the process (including initial registration for pick-up and then the drop off) was awful. The process made me feel like a potential criminal, and was very condescending.

DIANE BOn March 21, 2025 I rented a van and the 12V and 110V outlets did not work and I was given a different van. On March 26, 2025 I rented a van and was given the same van from March 21, and the 12V and 110V outlets did not work. I rely on my mobile phone for directions to where I need to go and it needs a power source due to the length of my trip. The U-haul computers were not working on the morning of the 26th and I used the van since switching would have been a real hassle and delaying my trip more. I had to forgo some stops because I had to make sure I had enough charge in the phone to provide directions to get home. It may sound silly but I can get turned around pretty easily (and the van doesn't have a compass in the dash or rear view mirror) Other than that issue, the van did it's job.

PRESTON Bin the wintertime, clean off the snow and start the engine to get the heater working. Your rentals do not have a snow brush in the cab and your customer is expected to have one? Also, don't use water in the washer fluid reservoir because it freezes and the windshield cannot be cleaned. I had to stop at a gas station to clean the windshield and I bought a gallon of washer fluid too. After driving for sometime the water thawed and I was able to cycle the water out and refill it with -25° washer fluid. You're welcome. It's little things that make for an above average customer experience.

Tamera HFirst and last time renting from this location. The customer service was deplorable. I believe she was the general manager Tamera (not sure of spelling is correct) could really use some education in customer service practices. I can say she has mastered eye rolling, sighs, and one of the best non professional attitudes I’ve seen in a while. The guy who assisted hooking the trailer to my truck wasn’t much better. When I told him I generally rent from a local retailer he had no problem making snarky comments about them. The trailer was not clean, floor was covered with leaves and mud all over the front and inside. The trailer also did not appear to be in the best of condition with a damaged floor which I did not see until I cleaned the leaves out and one tire which was in need of replacing due to lack of tread.
MICHAEL SThe truck I rented was in very poor mechanical condition. The steering was very loose and had a bad vibration from the front driver side wheel bearing area. After arriving at the moving location and opening the rear door and pulling out the ramp, there were numerous cockroaches that scrambled out of the truck and were also in the back of the truck. I did not use the truck and immediately returned the truck to the rental location. After telling them what I experienced, I was still charged for the rental. I will never use u-haul services again, especially this location ! I can not understand why I was still charged for their complete lack of cleanliness of their vehicle and for lack of maintaining a safe mechanical vehicle ! Thankfully I was able to locate another rental from more reliable company, unfortunately it was more expensive and added another day to my pre planned move. Very disappointed and disgusted in u-haul !
JASON VThe Beckley Road Battle Creek location came to the rescue after the Hastings location completely failed to have a container as promised when I made the reservation! The move probably would not have happened if not for Move It . The movers went out of their way to find a UBox for me. D & M Treasures in Hastings shattered my confidence in U-Haul. Move It Movers were great! D&M Treasures are not a good representation of UHAUL!

Before this particular situation I only have complaints I couldn’t use storage 24hours a day and when my storage unit somehow got infested with stink bugs nobody helped make it right of provided any solutions they just ignored it. I have. been a life long customer I’ll refer people but tell them to be aware of this employee and the issues it caused myself. Thank you this has altered me from using U-Haul for moving needs

Unfortunately where I was moving from had no trucks, so I had to settle for smaller truck. No one's fault, just ended up costing time and so much extra money. Had to get a trailer to complete move out. Had to travel to pick that up too. Extra insurance and lowered has mileage. My experience with the move helpers was so horrible, unprofessional and skam feelinging. Touch to write about. Jasmine was my check in person she was amazing, and so sweet and understanding. She even commented about my terrible experience with movers on her report to U-Haul. Today Rachel worked with me to get 2nd rental unit and was just as sweet and awesome. Very professional as well. I am a disabled retired senior citizen. I unfortunately was still so over exhausted from yesterday's ordeal with movers and not tested and had to help unload rest of truck items today, I was loading a dolly and fell. I have a physical disability and I really should not be lifting or anything but my son in law and I were all we had this morning and he has physical limitations too. I'm in pain from today's fall at your location. But I'm really terribly upset more about the movers U-Haul found for me. It was such a horrible time and unsafe and premeditated scam on the moving guys part. I am submitting a full report to that company and requesting/ demanding a refund. Even U-Haul person at your facility suggested I ask for refund. Please do not allow those particular movers to do this to anyone again. But your team at the actual facility were great. Thank you

The staff was rude and unhelpful and me and my family waited in the rain for 45 minutes for someone to bring us the key to unlock an outside storage. Zac brushed our situation off after I told him the unit was locked.Me and my husband drove around back to the office only to be told no one was available to open the unit. Finally, a severely obese man admitted he didn't want to walk down and so my husband gave him a ride in the truck that we had rented from you. It was the worst, most humiliating and indifferent experience, and all of our furniture was soaked and is probably damaged now. I will be looking for a solution to storing my family's things. I tried to call Uhal 3 times and never got through.

I personally was in the store with one other employee of hers the lady asked should I answer that she said No let call center pick it up . Talk to several people from corporate office like a Mr John Gilmore. Yet have heard from him as well . My mother had handicapped items that she needed coming home 4/11/20 . We paid as what was requested but Manager put a lock on the door . She also failed to give me a copy of agreement. So we go back Sat morning to see what happen and She said you was supposed have everything out by 8 last night . I apologize and ask is there anyway I can get my mother's items she had no problem saying No bluntly . A Lady from customer service spoke to my mother and said she called the manager and she refused to even after her request . And was shocked that such CoWorker would represent the uhaul company . So beware of this place because Corp tells you that the Manager of location makes final decisions on to make changes . So if you want to see uhaul corporate greed from G.M. her name Is Frasica Riley . It really makes me wonder on how many other people she has done this too . Looking forward to Channel 3 News getting ahold of me as well . I know for a fact they contacted me quicker then she did .
