I did all my original reservations on line. I signed up for the truck and storage unit. I have never rented a storage unit before and didn’t live in the area so I relied on the people making the reservations advise me on the size of the unit and any important information, like closing time. Issues that happened: we arrived to unload the I haul truck at 2 minutes to 5 and they said they were closing and couldn’t stay to do the paperwork since it was our first time to use the storage unit, no one told me that and we could have done the paperwork for the storage unit at the time we picked up the truck, but he never mentioned it. We then had to find a place to laid the filled truck because he wouldn’t even let us park it there. We then had to hire back the people that we had hired to unload the truck for the next day. The next day when we came back, they didn’t have the storage unit so reserved available, they rented it out since I made the reservation. They did find another one for us, unfortunately it was too small and I asked the person I made the reservation with what size they recommended for a one bedroom worth of furniture and boxes, I had no idea. It all fit in the truck I rented so i didn’t question the size of the unit she recommended, but the contents wouldn’t fit so they had to get me another one which was I’ve $100 more. To their credit, they are giving us the first month free for the inconvenience, but this was a very frustrating experience that could have been avoided with better communication on their part.joyce O. | First Impressions

I was charged for the 3 GL of fuel I didn't use because of the incorrect amount of the fuel that was set initially during equipment pickup process. I was in a rush when I pickup so I didn't pay too much attention to the fuel level and clicked approve because I trusted you would set the fuel level reflecting the true amount showing on fuel gauge. Later I found this was set incorrectly and I clicked approve without adjusting it. When I returned the equipment and complain about the wrong charge, the woman at the counter just kept repeating "You clicked approve, You clicked approve".SUNGWON N.

Well, instead of having to go inside for the keys, there should be an attendant in the lot for mobile check ins to make it smoother. The equipment was not in the vehicle, hand truck. Truck wasn't washed. Vehicle as in the far back, it would be nice if it was in the lot closer to the entrance. Could be due to limited staffing at that moment.Richard M.

This was a HORRIBLE experience. The evening before my pickup my reservation was changed by UHaul to the following day, without consultation with me. When we went to pick the truck up we were left without a truck. We had to call (30 min on hold) to report the problem and find a truck at this location â€” an hour and a half from where I reserved. The $50 credit UHaul provided did not cover the gas of my minivan to make the drive there and back, the extra gas for UHaul, the lost time for myself and not any of the money I was paying to 3 movers who were idle for more than 4 hours. I got a truck in much better shape than previous experiences. The employee pulled it out for me and made it easy for me to leave. It would be nicer to: - have a way to secure the dolly somehow, so it doesn't bounce around - a quick tip sheet - that shows the brake release button; the Tow-ON/OFF switch and how to operate gate latchTsvetomir P.

Staff were great and helpful at the pick up location. No issues at all. Just general feedback. Getting a U-haul in California was a new experience for us so the late notification of when and where to pick up the trailer was a bummer especially with having scheduled movers.Aaron S.

The website was terrible and you can't rent directly from pick up location!! Would not let me take pic of drivers license. Spent 45 minutes just to check in. Fuel tank cap was broken shut, would not open. Luckily I was only moving in-town and was only trying to refill for return. Tried to contact Uhaul for help, no-one answered the phone and their road-side assistance responded a few hours later when I already had returned the truck. No washer fluid, was really hard to see through the windscreen in the morning sun. Had to throw some water from my bottle while at red lights to get the windscreen cleaned. Nothing to do with the location, but how company operates. Do not shut down your website so people can use the site and application. The website was down! Took me more than an hour during the night time to return the truck, customer service was not picking up the phone. Called customer support from 2 different phones, no one picked it up. Discovered when it got dark and turned on headlights that there was a direct short in trailer wiring. And blew the running light fuse on my truck!DANIEL L.
Problem lies to where I was completely totally overcharged by twice the amount that I would have normally had paid I was not able to speak with any supervisor and was wrongfully left on hold for well over an hour no one answered nor even attempted to pick up the line when I was placed officially on hold to speak to a manager or supervisor. I was charged $1.39 per mile when I had agreed to .a dollar or ninety nine cents per mile also my agreed insurance rate to insure the truck was only $14- USD yet I was ever so wrongfully mischarged some $28- USD for insurance that I had never ever agreed to please call me back asap as I just drove well over 500 miles down to Southern Calif and am very tired.
