John T | First Impressionswhere do i start. There was nobody at u haul when i arrived even though i had an appointment time to pick up the truck. Me and my coworker waited in lobby for at least 8 minutes nobody there. we walked out where all the vehicles were and shouted, "can anybody help us?" i eventually walked into a back room found manager sleeping at desk. i told him I'm here to rent a truck. he said Rudley " go up front!" i said there is nobody there and i walked away. i went back to front lobby he eventually showed up asked for my info with zero apology. He gave me keys and said its parked out back you have to look for number. it was wedged between another truck; we had to shut sideview mirrors on both trucks to move it out. we got maybe 6 miles down the road and it stalled out. we got it started but it wouldn't idle, it just kept stalling out. We put 40 dollars in gas in it thinking fuel gage might be broken. but that wasn't the case. i still have gas receipt which i would like a refund. basically, we had terrible service from the manager in Belmont. he was the one who was asleep in his office. we called emergency number on visor in the truck a mechanic came out and found a air pipe was totally disconnected, and he said it looked like engine caught fire at one time because there was extinguisher residue all over engine. and to top it all off we got a call from U haul asking when we were going to return the truck. and i just received a receipt on payment. we never got to use truck because it broke down. i need a full refund and also the $40 we paid for gas. since we needed this truck to transport items that day we rescheduled on a different day with Penske. everything Penske did was professional, from outstanding customer service, to a clean well kept up vehicle. again, I'm expecting a full refund and payment for the gas we put in.

NICHOLAS CTo start we went to the San Francisco store and they told us that they didn't have what we were looking for, that it was all the way to Belmon on the Camino Real and we drove there and they didn't have it either, it wastes your time and then the person who helped us explained to us that we could return them to the same store and that it would be cheaper, it cost us 3 times more because according to the day they charge us $45 and we only used it for one day but for leaving it in another location they charged me $260, they didn't explain that I could leave it in the same location where I got it and that they were only going to charge $45, very bad experience

MAKSIM MMy Uhaul was stolen and this location managed the process really well The manager was sympathetic and understanding and after recovery allowed me to take my belongings within a reasonable time. Roderick is a great manager and a good guy and I appreciate him after all I had to go through with the theft and recovery I certainly recommend his location He runs a great shop

CHRISTIAN MTrucks need to be fluid checked more frequently rather than just check in n out asap. Wish they did just a bit more on that end plus I had to wait 25 minutes for my truck to arrive after my scheduled pick up which was already after store hours.

The desk associates could not override that $amount and when we spoke to the manager, he said he would not honor the in person quote nor the posted amount on the display board. BAD costume service!

Anton A | First ImpressionsI did all my original reservations on line. I signed up for the truck and storage unit. I have never rented a storage unit before and didn’t live in the area so I relied on the people making the reservations advise me on the size of the unit and any important information, like closing time. Issues that happened: we arrived to unload the I haul truck at 2 minutes to 5 and they said they were closing and couldn’t stay to do the paperwork since it was our first time to use the storage unit, no one told me that and we could have done the paperwork for the storage unit at the time we picked up the truck, but he never mentioned it. We then had to find a place to laid the filled truck because he wouldn’t even let us park it there. We then had to hire back the people that we had hired to unload the truck for the next day. The next day when we came back, they didn’t have the storage unit so reserved available, they rented it out since I made the reservation. They did find another one for us, unfortunately it was too small and I asked the person I made the reservation with what size they recommended for a one bedroom worth of furniture and boxes, I had no idea. It all fit in the truck I rented so i didn’t question the size of the unit she recommended, but the contents wouldn’t fit so they had to get me another one which was I’ve $100 more. To their credit, they are giving us the first month free for the inconvenience, but this was a very frustrating experience that could have been avoided with better communication on their part.
