Ricardo is an excellent employee--knowlegable, hard working conscientious and polite and professional as is the other lot man I believe he is edwin? Big guy, Latino, he was on the lot the day I rented either the auto transport or the 6.12 utility with ramp. Both good men, especially Ricardo.

The only comment is describing what size truck needed for size room, house or apartment. We rented a 10' truck for a one bedroom apartment. It was way too small for what little we had and we didn't have a couch, chair or dresser. We could have used a much larger unit.

I'm extremely upset regarding this moving experience. This is my third time with this location and the previous two experiences were positive. This time, however, was really bad. I rented the truck Saturday 2/25 afternoon (this was already a replacement truck as the storage sliding door for the first truck assigned to me was stuck and would not close at all) It took me a couple of hours to move everything from my old apartment onto the truck. After I'm all ready to go the truck would not start. I contacted U haul roadside assistance several times to ask for help. First time I was on hold for almost an hour then the phone was hung up without me having the chance to speak to any live person. I had to re dial and wait for another hour before speaking to an live agent. The agent promised me that he will text me an ETA of help after we hang up the phone - that text never made it to me. I waited for 30 minutes and then I had to use online chat to find out that my ETA was about 70 minutes. I waited for the U Haul road side assistance to come and he said that the problem was that the "dome light" was left on. I had not touched anything in the truck other than driving from the location to my old apartment, park, and apply the hand break. The dome light was left on when the truck was given to me and since it was still daytime, it is difficult to tell that the dome light was on (according to the roadside assistance personnel). Overall this dome light incident set me back a good 4 to 5 hours of moving time and my schedule - I did not complete my move until way later into the night then I had planned and anticipated. Because of this I had to change my Sundays plan. Overall this incident ruined my weekend and I do not appreciate this at all.

The drop off was easy. Some trucks were blocking my entrance and a staff member noticed and moved a truck right away so I could enter the drop off area. Staff was friendly and present in the moment.

Keep doing what they are doing. The crew you have at Belmont U-Haul is outstanding. They all know the equipment well. They had the truck out in less than 5 minutes for me on this cold morning. Upon return, two guys jumped into action and got me checked out fast and efficiently. I'm not good with remembering names, but everyone working at this location are great people and dedicated to their jobs. THAT is very apparent!!!

I have not yet received a check in receipt when I went to the express line and checked in the trailer on 2/14/17 and was assured by the customer service representative I didn't have to go inside to check in and that I would get an email receipt. I have not yet been billed for the trailer rental.

The customer MUST be informed ahead of time that they may be contacted and told that their drop-off location has changed - there is nothing in the contract to indicate this. My contract stated the vehicle must be returned to the Placerville location. I received a voice mail message from Gin's Little Valley Truck and Uhaul that I should call for directions and drop-off information. I called the number they left 530-913-0914 and finally figured out it was not where our contract stated the vehicle must be returned to - it was 60 miles away in Grass Valley and at least an hour and a half drive. The person I spoke to said our drop-off had been re-routed - they needed trucks - then they changed this to the Placerville location was full. I ended the conversation with Gin's. I then checked my contract and called the arrive at destination number 1-800-322-7374. I spoke to Carla - she wanted to know why I called that number???? I explained to here that it was on my contract as the number to call upon arrival in Placerville. She looked my contract number up and said the computer indicated that the drop-off location had been changed as the Placerville lot was full. She said that a text message had been sent to me - my phone number is a land line - you cannot send text messages to a land line - you get an error message. I told her I could not drive to Grass Valley to return the vehicle - who would pay for the gas- who would drive me back to Placerville - I had other appointments. Additionally many roads were closed due to mudslides and flooding. She was not helpful at all - said the computer indicated the vehicle was to be returned to Grass Valley and she could not change that. I told here I would go to the Placerville location and she assured me that they would answer my questions regarding who would pay for the extra gas and who would drive me back to Placerville. The Placerville location was less than 1 mile from where I was staying and I had parked the truck in their lot the previous night after they were closed - so the lot was not full. I had a friend drive me to the Placerville lot - my drop-off location - as indicated in my written contract. We returned the vehicle and keys there. We were assisted by Andrew Montez who was extremely polite and helpful. To improve your service to customers you need to provide the service that was agreed upon.

Check the operation of stop/turn signal lights. They were barely visible. Fortunately, the running lights were very visible.

location took my reservation then called me the morning of to tell me that the last renter was going to keep the truck another day. Not the location's fault but their suggestion was that I call around and find another truck. Lazy. And when I asked them if they had another truck available, they did, albeit slightly smaller. Lazy. Then when I got there, they did not have a dolly. I asked them if they would let me borrow a new dolly since they didn't have the one I reserved. They said no. This time, they told me I could buy a dolly from them. Ridiculous. Then when I asked them if I could use an appliance dolly, they said yes. Lazy for them not suggesting it themselves. After I returned the truck, it took them 15 minutes to print the receipt. They kept waiting for it to come in before they finally checked to see that the printer was out of paper. Lazy. Terrible customer service at this Belmont location. Lazy workers.
