I’ve rented trucks maybe a dozen times and never had a problem till today. I parked the vehicle and removed the key, as soon as I got out I realized the vehicle was still rolling!! I own a ford e250 which is the same cab as the truck I rented today and know that unless the vehicle is in park the key cannot be removed from the ignition. I know the vehicle today was in park because I took out the key yet it started to roll and I was parked on a street that was flat and not sloped. When I returned the vehicle I alerted the employee at the return station and told him that is not a normal thing. For the remainder of the day I used the emergency brake whenever I parked. That was really a big scare seeing the truck rolling after exiting the cab. That is something to look forward to into as the key should not be able to be removed without the vehicle in park.

After being a day late to return my truck U-Haul without warning notifying me or calling me towed the truck once I called them to find out if they had picked up a truck they told me they had not. I spoke to three different people on the corporate line as well as somebody in the office, they told me all the same thing to file a police report that had been stolen. Spent six hours at the precinct filing police report reports getting questioned by cops offer for it to be towed at a local U-Haul location very disappointing.

I checked in online -- including sending photos of my driver's license and many other pieces of important personal information -- only to arrive at the Uhaul location and do it all over again for no reason. The people working there couldn't do anything about it, they said, and I had to use the app. So I stood in front of a human being with a computer, using the tiny little desk in front of them to take photos of my license and resubmit a bunch of information I'd already given to Uhaul. After all that, it directed me to a truck outside. When I got to the truck, it turned out I needed to go back inside and FINALLY TALK TO A HUMAN BEING for the keys. This is a wildly stupid and inefficient process that makes me resent your company. If you want to replace your employees with an app so badly, go for it. That SUCKS, but go right ahead and do that.

Daphne was a wonderful human being and a tremendous U-Haul worker. The other guys were complete jerks. Felt accused and mistreated. I tried to be extremely nice but they acted like my existence alone was their biggest inconvenience. ON TOP OF THAT, they were trying to use the only 26 foot truck available that I had booked but Daphne insisted on keeping it for my reservation. I had already been delayed 3 hours from the previous U-Haul location. Daphne deserves a raise though!!!

Better front desk service. My parents had a horrible experience with the lady who attended them this morning she was nasty rude racist yelling at them. Had them waiting half a hour to attend them. Said remarks to her other coworker as to if the dont speak English why they come here. I am a supervisor for a customer service call center where I know for sure this shouldn't be allowed and leaves a bad review for this office. I would never recommend no one to this Brooklyn office to be insulted the way she treated my parents who were nothing but nice to her.

The check in process is horrendous. We are forced to use an app instead of getting help from the staff that is there. This makes not sense. And WAY too expensive compared with competitors in the same area. The facility looks like it's falling apart. Your competitors actually take care of their locations. Just an awful experience.

The people at customer service are very nasty, in a way very discriminating towards the Spanish, that was the feeling I experienced.
Two times I ask that I need a storage in a ground floor because I couldn’t lift heavy stuffed and the first time was given to me but the second time they refused because I didn’t come with the rented car, even though I had expended over three thousand in rents at you company..

The place had no stairs and I risked my life climbing stairs that was very unstable I was told by the 800 number that I would get a ground floor storage room for my heavy wheels and of course I was lied to like my previous rentals in New Jersey this was once a good company but my last two rentals make me rethink my business with them
