Check-in took way too long. I had pre-registered, but the person ahead of me hadn't, which took quite a while. There was only one person working at the check-in desk. The van was fine, but the "change oil" indicator was on and the air conditioning didn't work. I'm glad it wasn't hot out.Carolyn R.

My car was not properly secured to the auto transport and the strap came off repeatedly the front right wheel which was a safely concern. The metal chain was also not attached to the front of the car, which I learnt should be the case at the uhaul drop off location. Will not recommend for safety reasons.Shivani K.

Surprisingly efficient, the Van was in great condition. The phone app made returning the van very easy. Only wish the gas part was explained to me better. I was under the impression that I could return the van as is and not fill it back up (I only used it for 6 miles). I was charged the gas (which is fine), but there was another $30 fuel surcharge that I wasn't expecting.John W.

Due to issues picking up the vehicle, the reservation was modified so my drop off location was changed without my knowledge. Upon arriving to my desired location, almost every spot was taken to return the vehicle. I then waited over an hour on hold to talk to someone at UHaul to fix the drop off location. You then charged me a $20 convenience fee even though I was completely inconvenienced by this process. This is unacceptable and I would like a refundCHRISTOPHERR A.

This time I was provided an older GMC cargo van as opposed to the more modern Ford that was provided in a previous rental. The running order and cleanliness of the GMC could not even compare to the experience I had with the Ford.Tristan D.

Made a reservation in Staten island for a car transport. Checked in the day before to fine out they did not have a car transport available. Had to go to Brooklyn to get one. Cost me time and tolls to get it. Horrible service and didn't even offer me a discount for my inconvenience. The best was they told me I had to return it to Brooklyn on top off every thing else. Mr Andrew DeLuca-Rios assured me that I would get a Staten Island Location for rental pick up, I canceled a different rental because of the location convenience for pick up in SI, only to be scheduled to pick up at the BQE location which was extremely far. I had explained to Mr. Deluca Rios that I am disabled and was willing to pay the extra money for the Staten Island convenience, he assured me I'd have Staten Island at best maybe not on Bay St but on Richman Avenue so I canceled the other company. When my U-Haul pick up became a fiasco I personally went to the Bay St location to speak to the Luca Rios and after speaking with him his constant response to my frustration was that he doesn't do scheduling and assignments as though to tell me he was not responsible therefore could not be held accountable~ yet this general manager was the person who assured me the pick up in Staten Island. Additionally I was made to pay a prorated amount of money for the car tow even though the car tow was not acceptable for transporting my four-wheel-drive vehicle; the straps kept coming came off( vehicle mounted by Uhauls staff at the Bensonhurst location), the car was swaying back-and-forth, and we were explained that since the wheels are turning the engine is still heating up and I had a great possibility of burning my transmission as a result~ this was an unsafe accommodation. I questioned the toll versus carrier with scheduling & I was told it was adequate for transporting my vehicle from Staten Island to Florida obviously this information was incorrect I feel like I should've been given a full refund since I do not work for the company and that analysis and recommendation should've been made correctly by Uhaul. I must compliment Raven, the reservation mgr, she heard me out & changed my rental to the Bensonhurst area-I am grateful for her assistance.micheal D.

The 20' truck they've give me for my 600 miles was an absolute disaster!! Steering is out of order, roof has huge gaps and holes, all our stuff was wet completely. Totally unacceptable! Next time I will chose wisely who rent truck from...Alexander R.
