There was never anyone at the office at this location.

The facility was not well maintained from rodents.. I had my unit for 4 years and 80% of my belongings are now destroyed and I keep finding dead mice in my things.. this absolutely is NOT ok! I paid big money to have my things safe and secure and they were NOT!

I'm afraid 'the right hand doesn't know what the left hand' is doing. Even after I had returned the truck after cleaning out the storage unit, I made it a point to ask if there was anything further I needed to do, so that I would not be charged for another month's rent on the storage unit. Sure enough, I got a bill and a 'late fee'. The manager was hardly very friendly and never did apologize. It's not a big deal, but shows some rather questionable staffing issues. Even in the above listing, I moved out on October 16, not October 21. I did get the issue resolved.

No reason for not giving an excellent rating but my choice is definitely--ABOVE AVERAGE. The staff was always very helpful. As a consumer with multiple maladies, cancer being the toughest, staff was always efficient, cheerful, friendly, and helpful. I have recommended there business to several friends.

Closed out units on last day. That evening received an email stating that card charging next month had been declined. In order to get declined they must have tried to charge me for the next month. At that facility I had to drive to main office (4 plus miles) to get gate cards or push button to open the gate. Lock slide bolt difficult to secure. Ronnie was great, rest of staff needs to learn to smile, and mean it...

We used storage at Gurnet Street facility for 5.5 years. Always clean and easy to access. We preferred having personnel onsite, which is not the case anymore, and it’s hard to talk with someone in the Brunswick main office by phone. That being said, using the app made communication more efficient. Rates are reasonable.

Owner of Brunswick Maine Uhaul, Daniel, was exceptionally kind, helpful, & provided OUTSTANDING service. His facilities were both clean & staff was well trained, polite & cheerful. Daniel was the BEST Uhaul experience I've ever had via phone or in person. A perfect 10 storage & truck return!!

I’m not sure how I put a claim in but I had insurance on my stuff , but my couches have mildew all over them and a lot of my stuff has been infested with mice. I did not store any food just clothing and furniture.

My unit roof started caving in and leaked and caused a lot of damage to my property and I am getting a run around to get insurance at UHAUL to cover it. You are asking for original receipts for my property. I don’t think one box of my paper work is any good and is filled with mildew which I cannot touch because I am allergic. My daughter tried going though it and got sick. Nothing I saw is readable anyway. I have no receipts for it now if they were in there. Many boxes of stuff had to be thrown away that we didn’t even take pictures of because it was reasonable to replace like towels and wash cloths, clothing, shoes ect. So not coving what we ask for is awful.

The facility I was at .. the security gate was broken for months. So there was no security. I actually moved out on May 3 and did my move out on the app. The following day I dropped off my gate key. I still received 2 nasty late payment letters and a phone call even though I have moved out according to their instructions.

Had mouse dropping all over my things, mostly my bed and box spring.. tried to contact manger, been almost a week and heard nothing back.. did a claim through u-haul insurance and not once did anyone apologize for what happened.. just wanted to know the cost value and had to have pictures of everything. When you are moving everything in one day and having that kind of stress of opening your unit to that it was awful. Just would have like some kind of acknowledgment of their wrong doing. Do not recommend at all.

Utilized a storage unit for 2 months. Convenient location and well lit. Hours of operation made moving in and out convenient with the 24 hour access. Upon move out, all of my belongings were covered in mouse feces and urine. Furniture and boxes filled. I moved out before my required move out date which included turning in all of my equipment. The associate working took all the equipment and said someone will confirm the unit is clean that day then close my account. That never happened but the associate who reached out was able to clear everything up with no hassle.

The room was filthy, including bloodstains from a deceased animal. Although I was paying for a secure facility with a remote controlled access gate, it remained stuck open the entire length of my rental, even though I was told when reserving that it'd be fixed soon. Ton of extra work for me, moving my stuff out after two months, but won't stay here. Besides this, the staff is very helpful; obviously understaffed at this location.

I rented last summer and was told there would be a working security gate - the gate has been propped open now for months, and I have reported it several times. I often would see cars just driving in and out, or parked there that had no business being in there - it was troubling. No one followed up or explained why the spaces were no longer secured with the gate. Thank you!

The only issue that I had was that it was very difficult to reach anyone onsite by phone. It is important to me to close the loop but in this case could never reach anyone by phone. This lead to confusion and delays in getting me officially moved out. When I was able to speak to someone they were kind and professional. They took care of everything right away. Thank you

You took $89.95 for a month and the storage unit was cleaned on the 2 nd not due till 13??????? Dead mice , live mice Noone ever told me back in July my things could or would be destroyed by varmints!!! Not fair You got $890 and I got mice , droppings and destroyed important things 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭#329 unit no. We live on SSDI it was a rough cut in our money !!! 😥

It wasn't until I went to the facility to complete the paperwork that I was told I would have to present the contact information of a third party other than my spouse. It would have been helpful to know up-front that this information is required to rent one of your storage units. I never give out anyone's personal information without their consent, so it delayed the reservation process as I had to contact my third party to get their permission.

I rented the unit from out of town and was surprised to find no staff on site at 91 Gurnet Road when I arrived to start the rental. Eventually I figured out that I had to go to 1 Cressy Road to find the main office. It would be nice if there were a sign at 91 Gurnet Road making the relationship unavoidably clear to someone in my circumstances.

My rating would have been excellent, but I showed up at the site and nobody was there. I did not see a sign clearly indicating that the site was managed at another location, so it took some guesswork to figure that out. Once I did though, the service was excellent.

I upgraded the same day over the phone but went to the facility and was told there was not a unit available and they'd call me that afternoon. Nobody called. I called the next day and was told a message was sent out for the manager to call me back. Never got a call back. So I had to drive to the facility to see if there's a unit available. A unit was available but it is inside a facility when I have been saying from the start I need to drive right up to a door because of my serious back issues. They said it wouldn't be a problem because there are carts available. But when I got there the carts were very small and there's a picture on the wall showing a woman using the cart to move small boxes. I said I needed to move FURNITURE, including a large couch. None of my furniture will fit on these dinky carts! When I was walking down the hall an alarm went off blasting my ears. This whole experience has been horrible. I expected a heck of a lot more from a company as big as Uhaul.

The facility was perfect for storage while waiting for an Apartment to be available at Cooks Corner. The on line check out process didn't go as smoothly as expected, and I had to call to find out why my move out hadn't been confirmed for many days.

Storage unit I had needed some TLC - but I understand they addressed the issues after I moved out (insulation falling from ceiling, doors sticking). Unit was not super-tight so we did have some dust and pollen getting in. Otherwise, price is excellent and facility is easy to get to and secure!

The facility is very well kept . I stored there continuously for several years . The big complaint was that until a recent move out I’d had EXTREMELY difficult time contacting the staff at the facility. I’d call during normal hours, the call would be forwarded to a distant center, a message requesting a call back left with agent at that center with NO Results, no call back from facility. With the recent move out direct communication with the facility communication was excellent . Thanks.

I had reserved a 10x10 unit for the first of May but somehow my reservation got lost with the update. I ended up with only a 5 x 15 unit which isn't really big enough. Then on top of that I was promised a lock to be in the unit when I arrived d/t paying when I reserved and it wasn't there. I still haven't recievd it.

After driving 5 hours my code to enter was not working, and when I got to the 10x10x15 unit it was 2/5x10x15. u-haul did not have another unit for me to rent. so at 5:00 pm I had to scramble to find another storage facility in town. thanks to all American storage in Brunswick Maine, who had a real human being working on site, who was exceptionally nice and accommodating I was able to store my Vehicle!
