No UBox trailer available on arrival for pickup. I had to go to another location to pick up my own trailer and return to get our box loaded. Sonya was working in the $50 reservation guarantee we have heard nothing. Im assuming its just not that important. Heres what happened on this move. 1. First Scheduled UMove movers did not show up. Worse is by phone they said they were in Lakeland, FL "picking up the UBox right now". Shortly after that, they stopped responding to text or calls. They lied. They were never there. We called Lakeland facility too verify the lie. UMove was completely unhelpful and refused to take any accountability. I asked repeatedly to be transferred to a person with "the ability and the authority to get things handled". The customer service rep said "that isnt going too happen". I've spent 30 years in Customer service. I've never had anyone so poorly trained or full of themselves that they refused to move a call up the chain. If you want to laugh, call your competition. If you want to cry, call your own company. When I speak publicly about what not to do, this experience is my new example of what not to do. I've been in the mortgage business for 30 years. I understand the stress level of moving. I would never want one of my clients to go through this experience.Mike A.

Sonya and Vincent did a great job of helping me despite the system being down. This made it really difficult to get moved in to storage and rent a truck. Nothing was really explained how anything worked there and had to make several return trips to the front desk (and wait several minutes because of the line) to just ask "How do I even get in to the bay?" or "What truck should I take?" I know part of this was because the system was down and everything was crazy, but it was a huge time waster. A simple video on the app would have worked way better.Michael L. | First Impressions
the online checkout/pickup did not work for me. I filled everything out on my smartphone as directed. But once it came time to get my reserved vehicle, my information was listed as under review for a while and would not proceed. I had to logout and the very helpful employee inside redid my contract and got me going (thankfully they were not very busy inside so it didn't delay me extra long). The location itself is very good and both staff I dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this (but the online experience left something to be desired).Wayne S.

Everything was very clean and easy to access. The only issue was one of the bay doors was broke so if someone in a regular vehicle had to wait to get a uhaul tuck in the bay and the number of carts availability. One guy had two carts which was all the carts on that end.Decha R. | Online Move In
We used the uhaul shipping box to move from Michigan to Oregon. The uhal staff was so friendly and helpful from the people working in the office, to the people delivering the boxes. The price was very reasonable, and everything showed up intact!! My husband and I have been incredibly impressed with the process, cannot recommended this service enough!!Stephanie B.

They were very friendly but don't seem to understand your insurance coverage or the remaining fuel policy. I was told that I would be refunded for any fuel remaining above what was in the tank at the time of pickup and that was not the case.James S.

Purchased unit on line . went to the location walked into the store to get paperwork and keys. I stood there with not a soul in sight for 10 minutes, then walked out. drove around looking for employees...started a chat online to figure out how to get the keys to my unit, walked back in and there were 2 ladies at the counter, I had good reason to believe that someone informed them about my comlaint..ill leave it at that. I was charged for a "MI Charge" on the rental. The rep at the store could not tell me what it was for. They just told me to call the "State of Michigan". Then when I was handed the keys the rep told me to fill up the tank upon return, which I did because I was instructed to do so, but the tank was not full when I took the rental out. When I went to return the rental the rep said I was supposed to take photos to prove the tank was not full. But at the same time when the rep checked in the rental they checked the gas level before giving the final receipt. Shouldn't they of know what the gas level was when the prior renter took out the vehicle? Why is up to the customer to prove what the gas level was when the rental was taken out. I basically paid for the gas on my trip and the gas for the prior renters trip. What a rip off. If this is your normal business practice then you will be loosing a lot of customer very quickly, including myself. Will never be renting from U-haul again even if it means I will be paying extra with a company that is at least honest and straightforward. ZERO STARS.Mutaz K.

Phone based renting was pretty awesome, just wish fuel was not super close to 1/4 tank, I'd like to see u haul keep it at 1/2tank because there is a penalty at 1/4 tank. Also would like more public info on that trucks specific tank size and mpg, the green meter is kinda silly. Id like it to be easier to calculate how much fuel is needed. And I'd like to not donate excess fuel or be reimbursed. Otherwise great experienceSteven W.

When I called to schedule the delivery of my containers, it was a huge hassle. I had to speak to 6 different people over the course of 3 days because there was some sort of glitch. They finally got them scheduled and delivered on time.Shalico L.

The management has control issues and makes up policies as they go along tbat suits them. I would NEVER in a million years ever use this facility again or recommend it to anyone. Got put on a reservation for a 15" one way van that ended up being taken from me when I got there by the customer who walked in before me. Called the location back that I reserved with after being turned down. Wait for 15 minutes on hold. Drove back to the location and got a 10" one way instead that ended up have a tire 40 psi low on pressure and the tire sensor stopped working after I stopped to try to fill it with air. Also, before I left, I informed then my gas was at a quarter tank and I was charged for a half.0Dean G.

Have more than one person working for one. When we returned the truck Zach was overwhelmed with customers and told people with returns that we could just leave the keys in the truck and he would email receipts. I got my receipt and was severely overcharged by Zach. The same amount of gas when I picked up the truck was the same amount as it was returned. The appliance dolly was overpriced as well. We had an issues with the movinghelp unloader. He was under the assumption that he was ONLY supposed to deliver the UBoxes and NOT unload them! After much strife and confusion, our boxes were delivered and unloaded. I called UHaul, Sprindale SC location for answers, although they tried, they were NOT helpful. They had no solutions, except to contact movinghelp, although, I contracted everything through UHAUL! To add insult to injury, I've left several messages (2/13, 2/15, and 2/16th) asking the UBox manager to return my call regarding our PERSONAL moving blankets being taken by mistake. NO response from manager at all. This was NOT a pleasant experience!Louise W.
The staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, it took a very long time to check in and get our trailer hooked up, the storage unit was too small and then when given a different storage unit we were born given the right card. My only suggestion would be more counter staff. I waited over 40 mins for my reservation. I felt really bad for the clerk at the desk, there were some issues with a storage check out and it delayed time with everyone in line. He had to call someone in to help complete that transaction.Francis T.

My truck didn't pass the lighting test and you were getting slammed by yourself (technically you had a guy on his 2nd day with you), and you could have just sent me in my way without a trailer, but you helped me figure out I had a blown fuse in between customers and got me rolling with the trailer. I was offered a job with federal government, however, I had to relocate to another state to accept the position. This is what brought me to Uhaul. Initially, everyone appeared to be nice and helpful. Unfortunately, after a small mishap on my part, resulting in damage (for which I paid for in full), the manager became very unprofessional and condescending. Additionally, after moving my items out of the free storage, I had to call several times (with no return call) in order to close out the unit. Thankfully, I won’t have a need for Uhaul services any time soon.
