Based on my observation, when short staffed the manager steps up and does EVERYTHING. She's amazing. she juggles all those plates in the air while processing reservations and talking to a customer on the phone and coaching a new staff member and lining up equipment to drive to another city to assist other uhaul stores. Excellent and seamless experience. 100% satisfied with drop off/pick up/storage and drop off again. Moved from one city to another, also had not confirmed where we were going to end up, this was a stress free way to store our items during the transition. The only disagreement I have with this site is, in the past we were told that if we over fill the gas tank we would be reimbursed this site didn't refund us when we were filled !/4 tank more.Christine K.
When I arrived there I received the wrong size truck, and I was told that if I drove all the way out to this location I would receive the truck that I wanted. In which I did not receive the truck that I wanted, they said that U-Haul had called me and told me that but I never received a call. The people that work there were very nice to me, I was just unhappy with my situation. And my truck was dirty inside there were sticky stuff all over the floor and the passenger seat. Which got all over my daughters clothes and her purse. So I was sad not to receive a personal phone call about them switching the size of my truck and me driving all the way across town to another location it wasted over an hour of my time!Lonnette M.

The truck was clean and ran well, but apparently had a fuel leak. I could smell gas, there was liquid on the ground, but I drive 15-20 miles and the fuel gauge dropped from 5/16th to E in less miles than that. The people at the center treated me well, but the leak concerned me.David P.

The customer service was acceptable, the equipment however was NOT. There were no brake pads on the driver side, which was not noticed until driving through the Ozark mountains in Missouri where I lost all breaks and could have died along with my children. Negligence of vehicle maintenance is unacceptable. There was no break pad or pin on the driver side. Pictures and thorough documentation has been obtained. We are still waiting to hear from the Michigan office concerning this matter. We are NOT at all impressed nor satisfied.Lesley G.
Honestly, it was what it was. Service was poor. Upon entry I waited 5-7 mins before help arrived. Upon returning I stood at the counter for at least 20 min. Someone In the office was on a call but should have shut the door(nothing worst than A. Hearing a private convo and B. Knowing someone can't wrap it up to help a customer)â€¦. Someone walked through but didn't help. I finally gave up and stumbled through the return on my phone. While 2 additional employees walked by. I can't believe it but it took a week to get my final receipt and survey. Maybe it's not all the fault of the franchise owner but I dislike renting from U-Haul. During pickup the attendant was great. She was friendly and helpful in all areas. Answered our questions. Only suggestion she needs to warn people before using her personal phone to snap ID pics and upload them online. The attendant for return was very rude. Didn't greet us and she carried on a conversation with her co workers about TikTok while we stood there and waited. Took my keys. Never did a walk thru for return. Told me she would send me my receipt. Sent me a invoice with a $20 fee for AFTER HOURS (drop off was 231pm) even though my reservation was until 430pm and thry were open until 5pm today. When picking up the key, I was left waiting by the general manager for several minutes. This was because she finished a task. Furthermore, an employee clearly walked away without offering or acknowledging me. Rented a 26 foot truck from Battle Creek Mich on June 6. Had to drive over an hour to pick one up that size in Bryron center. very frustrating! Truck had less than 1/8 of gas I know you don't have a gas station onsite but filling trucks at least on 1/2 would be great. The app did a weird thing and kept not actually letting me do the â€œreturnâ€ process. It would ask for my location then just say â€œpark itâ€ and â€œa representative will contact youâ€ I had to log into the web version of the app and then it somehow gave me the return workflow where I had to take pictures and pick payment option etc. Was kind of confusing. I was worried I did something wrong and would get charged for an extra day or something because it glitched out.Steven C.
The sign is a bit misleading when you drop off equipment. I was under the impression you needed to wait by the equipment but you can just drop off your contract and keys without issue. This confused me a bit but was ultimately negligible and we were all set very quickly.Kyle L.

Sonya Will went above and beyond to help me . They were Extremely understaffed .the employee I had first made a mistake and rented me a smaller unit I needed a bigger one. Unfortunately, U-Haul has the worst software and computer system I have seen for modern Company that ha been a business as long as you have. Every time I’ve been in there the computers crash, and it’s difficult for the employees to navigate you’re stupid software. Does clicking on things more often make it a better system? I was very pleased with the whole experience that I had other than the key drop box. The vehicle I was returning had a key phob connected to the key and it wouldn't fit into the drop box. I tried prying on the box to be able to properly drop my rental off and the door fell open and that made me very nervous for extra charges.
