Make customer service a priority. There were 4 employees present and visible, yet I waited 30 minutes before I was asked to leave my key. In that 30 minutes only 2 customers were waited on. It took another 2+ hours before the vehicle was checked in.

We were given a 11foot truck and also rented a storage unit that we waited in line to rent for almost 30 to 40 minutes. We were not given a key card yo the unit because your card scanner was not operating. We were given a 4 digit pin to get into the building, which did NOT work when we arrived at the storage unit. We were told we could drive up to the storage unit. When we arrived at the storage unit we could NOT drive up the ramp to the unit because no truck above 10 feet were allowed. Needless we had issues trying to get the truck out of the building. We called and were given a unit on the 1st floor at a higher price because it was a bigger unit, but we needed to wait because for someone to come to unlock the unit. We were told that a lock would be in the storage unit but NO lock was to be found. I had to followed the guy that came to the storage to get a lock he said he could give it to me for free. He said he would talk to his GM when he came back to the store about our situation, which he did but the GM didn't even come over and apologize for the inconvenience. I believe that is poor customer service. I think your people should pay more attention to details when renting truck, units and have equipment that works because this whole event was very stressful. Your GM came out of his office and just stood in the waiting area and just looked around and then went outside to smoke cigarettes. Extremely unprofessional in my book.

The rental app/ get key from outside locker DID NOT WORK... I wasted about an hour of time over 2 days trying to get the app to work. LUCKILY I bumped into SHAWNA CRAWFORD !! Shawna is an example employee!! Though she was and had been very busy, she was friendly, cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable. I saw her helping someone else while I was getting super frustrated on day 2 of trying to do the self serve rental. I saw she was helping the other person and hoped she would help me and she did! I was very impressed with her attitude and abilities! When people had questions or were disputing charges she kept her cool and uses a friendly tone to explain things. This woman deserves a raise and a promotion. She is management material.

Horrible service. I was called 3-4 times in two hours starting at 6:57 in the morning because they couldn't find the keys to the truck which were handed to the employee the night before. As I was standing in line, my card was charged for an extra day because they misplaced the keys. Will never use this location. Stick to allentown blvd.

I think it is not necessary to charge extra for 24/7 access to storage. Also, the individual units are dark. You should install an led light in each unit which automatically goes on when unit is opened.

There were over a dozen 15' trucks available, but I was assigned a 12+ year old truck with 120,000+ miles on it, that sounded awful, smelled awful, bad burned out dash lights making it impossible to see my fuel level or engine temperature are night, overdue for an oil change, and had ruined windshield wipers. My typical experience here though, is typically pretty good.

The clerk gave me the key to a U-Haul van that was sandwiched between two other vans. The whole process was very time-consuming. I've had better service at car rental agencies like Enterprise.

I was told by the pickup I was good to drop anywhere. This center required I wait in my truck but no one came out except a person who cleaned the truck in front of me who totally ignored me. I finally gave up and went over to talk to my wife and 4 yr old. Suddenly a person came out to tell my wife to move the our vehicle. I asked him can someone check me in. He replied yes. He then began to complain about not being the center where it was to be returned to. It appeared he was more worried about listening to the game on the radio than me.!

Returned equipment less than an hour late and got charged for AN EXTRA DAY! Person I spoke with (manager?) was very matter of fact about it with zero consideration. Will not use this location again and will recommend others avoid it as well. I understand I was late but charging me for another day, for less than an hour, is completely ridiculous! Moving is an arduous task and one made even more so by your policies.

I reserved a truck via the app for an 8 am pickup. Waited 45 minutes to just receive the key. Drove the 5 miles or so to my home began loading truck, at what which time I received a call from UHual that I needed to return the truck because”we have you the wrong vehicle”. Unloaded what was on truck drove back to UHaul.... just to wait another 30 minutes for them to process the one customer ahead of me in line. The worst operation I have experienced in all of my moves. I am retired from the Marines and moved myself 9 times in 21 years. Based on the last experience I surely would not recommend this location. Questionable if I would even recommend U-HAUL to anyone looking to move.

I had to get a jump from one of my friends that was assisting me with my move because the battery died. The ramp on the truck was out of alignment and took almost an hour and 2 people to finally get it to go back in. Uhaul refused to acknowledge or remedy the situation. I am glad that I have no reason to use this service at all. Not happy!

Staff did not wear masks, despite PA State Government orders for everyone in a public setting to do so. Signage was up, to provide awareness of this fact. It is likely that many employee’s carried the Covid-19 virus home to family. As a person wearing a mask is protecting others, I don't appreciate this company, or company-location policy. It put me at risk, every time I visited the location, hence why we have now moved from that location. Other than this policy, I would have rated the location excellent.

The fact that I asked multiple times if I had 24 hour coverage and the girl reassured me I did then when I came after hours I got locked outside with my keys and phones inside and couldn’t get back in until 5am the next morning when I called customer service they said I did not have 24 hour access on my account and when I tried to call the GM her phone ran I left a voice mail then called again a couple times because my storage unit was wide open and my cell phone and keys were inside thank god a friend came with me who had their phone I kept calling and instead of answering she turned her phone off so I have to sit outside the storage place from 1015p until 5am until I could get in to get my things to leave. Horrible!

First off, my wife has used your services over eight times in the past six years. If we would have known how unprofessional and rude your people are we never would have used your services. My wife was disrespected on the phone by more than one customer service agent. She then called the corporate headquarters and was pretty much dismissed by the woman who was supposedly helping us. We will never use your company again and have told our family and friends how bad the service has become in six yrs. You need to hire people who actually care about others. Good luck

Understaffed! The wait time to pick-up and drop off the trailer was extremely long due to understaffing. I dropped the trailer off and received a call 4 days later wondering where the trailer was. I informed them the trailer was returned in a timely manner, in the same location as picked up, and staff verified return. Understaffed

Every person I interacted with at UHAUL from beginning of move to the very end were exceptional. I can't think of one thing that the UHAUL team missed. I liked that the drivers contacted me by text letting me know where they were and status of my delivery. Including the furniture pads was brilliant. I used everyone in each of the 3 containers. I still am amazed at how many items I was able to put in each container. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who asks. My move was flawless. Thank you.

Have a direct dedicated phone contact number for both store location and especially road side assistance. Very difficult to talk to a person. Always a wait time. Never had a person answered without a 10 min plus wait. When the equipment breaks down and your stranded you want an answer immediately.. Better, quicker customer service needed. The people you finally deal with are good it's just very difficult to get through to them.

I never received my $100 deposit refund check, nor my prorated refund for moving out in the middle of the month on my pre-paid storage facility. Everything else was fine, but I would like my $150.

I would never use or recommend UHaul. This moving experience was a NIGHTMARE. I dealt with dozens of people from the middle of July until Sept 17th when the process was finally over. Every single person that I spoke to gave me different information, advice and prices. Even the insurance. I had a recliner torn and an entertainment center damaged. The hoops you would have to go through to get reimbursed are insane. It isn't worth the effort. Depreciation, purchase receipts, getting a professional to give you an estimate. Unbelievable. It cost me over $600 more than expected. I was at the point where I was going to unload a box I had loaded myself, take the loss and try another company. One of the drivers, Mary helped some, but not enough for what we had to go through. Never never again.

You can Improve by ensuring that customers personal information is witth the correct profile. I booked my truck online using my account and somehow the confirmation number i received was for a different customer. When I got to the store the truck I rented was already gone by the other customer and when the agent looked me up using my email, phone number and confirmation number the other customer name came up. How only the name is different but my phone number and email is on this persons account. This is a mayor security breach. I have used U-hual for years and even had rented a storage at this facility and never had experience this. Then I was able to rent a truck however, I got a bigger truck than what I rented, I had to go back in to switch trucks (another inconvenience). Also make sure the amount of gas and miles match to what is on the printed sheet given to the customers. The 1st truck the sheet stated it was given to me with half a tank of gas, it was less than half. The 2nd truck stated 3/4 it was less than 3/4. The only good thing of my overall experience where the agents, I didnt catch his name but he was very nice, very professional and willing to help. Props to you! Thanks

My vehicle wasn't able to pull the vehicle on the dolly. I had to spend money on a toll truck and still pay for the dolly. I told them what I had and what I was planning to haul, and still was granted the dolly to pull it. Very disappointed that I wasn't even offer a refund.

The Harrisburg 29th St. location is without a doubt, the worst Uhaul pickup location possible. Upon my first arrival the customer behind me stated that "the crazy lady was working". He wasn't kidding and it turns out she was the manager (Katie). They are in serious need of staff members. Plan on getting there at least an hour early for pick up. If you call then, plan on being on hold for 30 minutes, if they answer at all. The 4x8 trailer was filthy inside. I had new sneakers,pillows, back packs, etc. that fell out of a basket and they are covered with black stains from the flooring of trailer. The very worst experience!

My pick-up location was changed with no notice. When I got to the location Uhaul apparently randomly assigned me to, there was a long line, only 1 person working at what was clearly a peak time, and they did not even have the size truck I reserved! I ended up with a smaller truck after an hour's delay. Had to make two trips to complete my move because of the smaller truck, which resulted in me having to pay my movers more as well. Not a good experience

Extremely clean facility and the staff was professional and efficient. There was mouse droppings throughout my unit also,there were droppings on several coolers I had to dispose of. I informed a employee that stated there is currently a rodent issue in row 1800,unfortunately my unit was 1802..Another employee took pictures of droppings on the floor.I stored summer furniture from October til Mid March.I am totally dissatisfied and will not be using U -Haul storage in the near future..Totally disappointed!☹
