The 10x10x6 unit I reserved on-line with my truck was not available when I showed up in PA on 12/2 (order #20731372). An employee (Steve) put me in a 5x10x6 and 5x10x8 as an alternative, and told me he would merge the units so I would pay the same monthly bill I was anticipating. Steve said he would call me to come in on a later day to sign the receipt/contract once they were able to merge the units. I went back in-person on 12/'7 since I had not received a call. I was told by another employee (Shawna) while she was on the phone with corporate storage, she could not merge the units since they were different sizes (one is two feet taller than the other). She said I would have to move my belongings out of one of my units into another, so both the units are the exact same size to receive the merged rate. I am expected (again) to spend my time and energy to make-up for false promises and booking errors made by U-Haul. U-Haul made the mistake allowing me to reserve a non existent unit. I took the two 5x10s because I was told the rates would be merged into the monthly rate I had expected. The employees now tell me I have to spend another day moving my stuff around because of errors on the company's behalf. This is all highly unacceptable, and I am very disappointed with the customer service and my entire moving experience. What is the point of making a reservation if the unit is not held and available? Why would an employee tell me they will honor the 10x10 rate if I moved into two 5x10's? The first employee that helped me yesterday was also very unsympathetic and had zero empathy. Shane, the general manager, stepped in and did what he could to help, but it is a shame that corporate ties the employees' and managers' hands in a "make-good" scenario. Because of the "same size units to merge" restriction, U-Haul has denied me the most basic of customer expectations and given me a horrific experience. I am definitely not satisfied, and am expected (again) to pay more or inconvenience myself because of errors made by your company. My moving from Louisiana to PA started with me having to drive 29 extra miles to pick up my equipment. My pick-up reservation was made for a location 2 miles from my home in LA. U-Haul managed to screw up both my reservations on this contract, and I am expected to spend my time and money to cover your mistakes. Since I will have to spend time moving my belongings, I plan on moving them out of your facility entirely before the free month I received with truck rental is over. You've lost a long-term customer with excellent credit (>800) who always pays their bills. If I ever have to rent equipment again, you can also bet I will be seeking out alternatives. You are a terrible company who takes no responsibility for your own errors, and shifts the burdens onto your clients. Shame on you, U-Haul.
Only issue I would say I have is we were at the location emptying the truck in to the unit and didn't finish until a little after 12. When I received the emailed receipt I saw I was charged for one more full day of truck rental. A bit disappointed in that....

I think it is not necessary to charge extra for 24/7 access to storage. Also, the individual units are dark. You should install an led light in each unit which automatically goes on when unit is opened.
Staff did not wear masks, despite PA State Government orders for everyone in a public setting to do so. Signage was up, to provide awareness of this fact. It is likely that many employee’s carried the Covid-19 virus home to family. As a person wearing a mask is protecting others, I don't appreciate this company, or company-location policy. It put me at risk, every time I visited the location, hence why we have now moved from that location. Other than this policy, I would have rated the location excellent.
The fact that I asked multiple times if I had 24 hour coverage and the girl reassured me I did then when I came after hours I got locked outside with my keys and phones inside and couldn’t get back in until 5am the next morning when I called customer service they said I did not have 24 hour access on my account and when I tried to call the GM her phone ran I left a voice mail then called again a couple times because my storage unit was wide open and my cell phone and keys were inside thank god a friend came with me who had their phone I kept calling and instead of answering she turned her phone off so I have to sit outside the storage place from 1015p until 5am until I could get in to get my things to leave. Horrible!

Without my permission the staff allowed to have a locksmith come and break the lock of my 2 storage u it’s. I asked about it and never got a response. I have already decided to take legal action .
Extremely clean facility and the staff was professional and efficient. Another customer was very rude to employees and used profanity due to Corona virus mask regulation but the staff person kept her cool and remained professional in this stressful situation. I will definitely use this facility again.

There was mouse droppings throughout my unit also,there were droppings on several coolers I had to dispose of. I informed a employee that stated there is currently a rodent issue in row 1800,unfortunately my unit was 1802..Another employee took pictures of droppings on the floor.I stored summer furniture from October til Mid March.I am totally dissatisfied and will not be using U -Haul storage in the near future..Totally disappointed!☹
My initial phone call to the facility on 29th Street was a little less than friendly. But the gentleman that helped me when I got there on Saturday morning was over-the-top helpful!

Did not contact me as requested when a larger storage unit came available. Out of courtesy, could have warned me of the fuel policy for a rental truck. Slow, disorganized customer service.
My experience with uhaul overall was great. The general manager, sarah lawyer and Patrick were so helpful and kind. The units were very clean. Every time I stopped in sarah was cleaning something.

U Haul was very convenient for me and I liked the employees. But they are very busy and u need more employees And yes I would recommend U Haul .
Phone number also busy. I was always referred to the mail uhaul number. I gave them my card number for automatic withdrawal 3-4 times but it still didn't work out.
I asked about access to storage room. I was told it was 24/7. Well what a lie, when I arrived a little after 1am on July 13th swiped my access card to get in and it Read ACCESS DENIED.

Expensive storage.. at least a five-day grace period from your due date of payment should be given. They charge you a late fee on the first day.
Did not go to facility. U-boxes were delivered from there. Mary and crew did an excellent job of delivering the U-boxes.

Put more trash cans out in front. From time to time I noticed the only one you have was overflowing on to the sidewalk. Staff does keep it clean but some customers do not unfortunately.

OverLl I was pleased with the logistics and process. Staff at Harriabieg were great. Only irritant was that o asked at least 3 times but never got a call that it wax in early which coat is 2 hotels!

The manager was great at finding me a larger storage area in another location. I asked for the largest storage area when I reserved a large truck but when I got there only small ones were available.

Everything went well. A little confusing, as I was contacted by 3 different people regarding the delivery. The dilivery window was missed by 3 hours, but it all worked out in the end.
I will suggest that customers be thought how to use the entry card.
