Upon return on Saturday night, the entrance was backed up with return trucks. I had to come in the exit to drop my trailer off and literally backed in front of the front door in a customer parking space. I guess I was lucky to be able to return.

I reserved a truck, furniture pads, and appliance dolly for 7am with online pickup. I couldn't find “pick up my truck” so I went inside and I was told “yeah it's not user friendly”. No kidding!!! Turns out every other person inside was having the same problem! Then I'm told they have no appliance dolly even though I reserved one. Thank goodness I have one at home!!! Called my son and told him to bring it. THEN I had to WAIT for my truck that was supposed to be ready for pickup at 7. Very unhappy with the whole situation!!! Will not be using this location again!!'n

Picking up was easy. The return was super difficult and the program kept saying it could not locate me even though location services were on - PLUS the key drop slot clamped down on my FINGER as I was inserting the keys - now I have a huge cut open swollen fingertip that I may have to go to urgent care to get look at if I don't get feeling back to my fingertip or it doesn't stop bleeding by morning…

The gas mileage isn't good and also the actual mile from my old place and return the truck was completely off. But the Young lady that check me in was very Very good at her job. If I could only rate he. She was excellent.

Everything was great but I felt bad returning the truck after hours. The lot was pretty full and the only was I could follow the instructions meant leaving the back of the truck over the sidewalk. Being a rule followed, I felt kind of bad but I was sufficiently tired after two 25' truck loads, I got over it. Thanks again for being there.

Why was I charged 4 days when I had the trailer 3? I was told the DOT sets that. That seems like nonsense.

Action File 3228286 John Miller Area Manager Charged $21.95 after hours fee plus tax I went in the next day after we dropped off the truck the night before to get our receipt. I was charged a fee we had never been charged. We were not told about the fee from the pickup location and when I asked about the fee at the drop off location, the 3 staff members were not helpful at all. A girl even said it is my responsibility to read the entire contract. The 3 staff members said the pickup location is the one that charged me for the “convenience checkin fee”. The girl also underline a 800 number to uhaul for me to call. That went no where. No way to get anyone to talk to, and dealt with roadside assistance only. I called the pickup location and she said it wasn't her store that charged me the fee. She said it should be overturned for good customer service and gave me another number to call. I called and left information with a rep who said the Mgr had 48 hrs to contact me to resolve the matter and refund the fee and even transferred me to another rep in hopes the refund could be done immediately. When I got the next rep, she asked the same questions and said she was unable to do anything but the case had been issued by the previous rep. Total waste of time! Never heard from the Mgr who was suppose to contact me! I would like my refund as we have done business with UHaul for yrs at the same drop off location and NEVER had a convenience fee charged for turning in early. I could have kept the truck until 2:00 pm the next day but turned it in early. You could be making more money and prob did off the truck that day! If I don't get my refund, I can honestly say I will not be using UHaul again and I cannot honestly leave a decent review on social media because of this sneaky fee that was not even told to us! Was it on the contract, yes, but as I said, I was not told there had been any changes in the contract within the last year due to COVID19. At least that what the 3 very unhappy staff workers at the drop off location said. You must not pay these folks much of give any incentive to be happ while at work as they were all very negative before I even spoke to them!

Phone service SUCKS!!!!! Can't reach anyone when you need help... Tried multiple times while at work to reach someone...waited 20 mins only for the line to go busy. Tried to do everything online, but it's not user friendly. I guess if you work for uhaul it's easy to navigate, but it's horrible when trying as a customer, and I think I'm pretty techy.

The vehicle was clean but it was making lots of noises when driving and I felt like the vehicle was going to break down or something was going to happen.Vehicle should be checked out but overall vehicle was pretty nice,smooth ride until you caught up speed and that's when noise would occur.

I wish they had told you you had to check out on line while still at the rental site. Went home to check out on my computer only to find out you had to be at the rental site to checkup out. By time I got back to rental site the vehicle was being "checked in" by the rental facility. $20 "convenience" fee plus tax charged. Just a way to nickle and dime people. I assume this is a company policy and not a local dealer policy.

When returning the vehicle on the 16th at 5:00 PM there was a man with a stocky build and curly hair, that was somewhat unpolite when he appeared to be upset about where I had parked the vehicle. There was a lady working at that time also, that was very pleasant that de-escalated the situation when she told the worker that where I parked the vehicle was fine. The man had quite an attitude, one that was inconsistent with what I've experienced in the past at U-Haul centers. {perhaps he was having a bad day}, but he certainly did not represent U-Haul very well.

I rented a cargo van at or around 1600 CST under the pretense that it was a 24 hour rental. However, at approximately 0812 am CST I received a call from the rental hub stating I had to return the van by 1200 PM or be charged a $50.00 USD fee for "bumping a reservation". This would otherwise not had been an inconvenience if i would've known, but I was required to adjust my morning plans.

Had to use the storage unit at 1. Then drive all the way across town to drop the truck off at another location made no sense. Tried to change it wanted to charge me I was already there with the truck it was clean and gassed up they were eating lunch the staff. Wouldn't help me just pushed me a long costing me money cuz I was late dropping it off very bad experience. Missed my ride back to my house had to walk nearly six miles. Never used U-Haul again

I will never rent with them. This is a scam. After talking to someone to set up a move out day and pay a settlement offer because I was effected by Covid. They continued to charge me for miscellaneous things Causing my bill to go up to a thousand dollars and tried to sell my items to get nothing and then tell me I still owe a thousand dollars.

The staff is rude. Aside from the date I signed my contract, whenever I have to speak with the staff they have a tendency to make one feel unimportant and that I am an interruption to whatever they have going on. They often park equipment in the way of the door to the storage units creating a trip hazard. When you ask them to move it they are always too busy to do so in a timely fashion. When moving out I called to cancel my contract. the rep stated that its not really a contract and all i have to do is move out. I asked him to please make a record of my move out anyway. I then started receiving late notices with assessed fees so I called back in. the rep noted said she would e-mail the store to notify them of my original move out date but would not copy me on that e-mail nor provide a copy for my records. I find that policy absurd. She stated all calls are recorded and that if needed I could get said recording. When I requested it she put me on hold and after 20 minutes i gave up. The only saving grace for this particular facility was the price. That said I did get a letter notifying me that the price was increasing on my unit. With all this in mind, no I would not recommend this facility, especially for storage rentals. Additionally, after my support experiences with your company, I will shop other brands before choosing a uhaul location in the future.
