The only thing was that the driveway to at the U-Haul in Antioch was not plowed all the way and if I didn’t have a truck with 4x4 it would have been impossible to back up to the trailer.

Great Job! I showed up first thing in the morning (had reservation) after a bad snowstorm, followed by freezing rain which had coated many things with ice. Although the staff was attending to the effects of the snowstorm, they immediately stopped to help me with the trailer reservation. The staff had to clear the trailer of snow, and get all the ice off the chains and wiring harness, and complete the safety checks. Remarkably, they had me on the road in 10 minutes or so. Very impressive and very professional. Thanks for all the help!

My reservation for some reason was cancelled by UHaul But they were still able to find a rental Pickup location was supposed to be 3 miles from my house but it wound up to be a 20 mile drive times 2. Who pays for the extra time and mileage so far not uhaul my rental contract should have been lowered. Then my drop off location was 1 mile away ,then UHaul changed it so I had to drive farther thru town . Again who pays not uhaul. This rental was totally unacceptable. Any response from UHaul. NO Who pays me that’s who. I will tell everyone use Someone other than UHaul.

My review is with caveats. This is normally a great location With great people but my last rental went terribly wrong. Recommendation for site: If one customer is waiting for their driver to show up don’t make next person wait in line for more than 30 minutes while you chat away & ignore them. Especially if they ask if they can be checked out while waiting. Don’t lie about gas in tank leaving customer with less than 25 miles worth of gas in tank and then charge them for leaving you with more gas than they used + refilling fee. If truck is returned at 12:30 don’t send message at 3:30 asking customer to return truck especially if you already charged them for gas they didn’t use and you were left with more than they used. It was most disappointing that I never received call back from manager despite filing concern with company Immediately when problems arose and being told I would be contacted.

I thought it was Chain of Lakes when I picked it, but when we went to drop it off it was just storage unit. No U-Haul trucks in site and chain fence was locked with no drop off location what so ever. We then called U-Haul and had our destination changes to Chain of Lakes.

Check your equipment better the trailer I rented had a flat tire but the kicker was as I was checking out one of my turn signals was not working and the attendant would not let me leave with it so I went all the way home got my good 7 to 4 way adapter came back hooked back up to trailer only to then leave with a flat tire .

I was told the truck would be available via Truck Share - it was not, so my day was delayed by 1 hour while I sat in my vehicle in the cold until the location opened. I was charged for a hand truck which I did not ask for nor use.

When calling to see if I could rent a 26 foot truck the lady stated there’s was in a shop and couldn’t rent one and I’d have to go to another location to get that. Just rented the twenty foot truck since that’s were my storage unit was. While loading truck a 26 foot truck was returned to that location ??? Made we question what I was told. Also told that in the past t you would go to another location and get the size truck someone needed?? Daughter used to worm there when it first opened and you use to do that

When I dropped off the truck, I waited 15 min only to find other customers had left and attendant Grant in outer garage on a personal phone call, he hung up and told me he had "other things to do" and it would be a 45-1 hr wait if I wanted a receipt! "Cause that was what e-mail was for"! After asking for corporate number he waited on me only to add cleaning charge, truck was in same condition as to when it was picked up! He never gave me a receipt, and I left a msg on mgr cell! 3 days later I still hv no return call! Hv rented from uhaul over many years and this was first neg experience!

Cheated me on the fuel used. I drive the vehicle 10 miles and was charged for two gallons of gas (1/8th tank). Obviously the tank was NOT full when I picked it up, but the Uhaul rep wouldn't take that into consideration. Only cost me an extra five bucks, but it is the principal.

I never rented a Uhaul. I started receiving notifications two days ago, and I called to tell the on site people that someone was using my name and email address to reserve a vehicle. It seems like they still allowed the fraudulent rental happen.

The truck I rented had the window crank positioned poorly (should have the crank knob full forward when window is closed , so as not to interfere with the drivers' leg) . Because of this maladjustment ... the crank knob has been knocked off so many times it no longer stays on when cranking the window.

This is just bad location for getting in and out being on a busy road with train tracks next to it and a traffic light less than a eighth of a mile away making planning going and leaving rather strategic. I will say that Arnold, who attended to me, was competent and friendly.

Be more honest with the costs. You advertise $19.95, but actual cost was over double. I knew in advance I would pay mileage, but you also charged for gas. You charged the going IRA rate for mileage, which for reimbursement would cover the gas, then charged gas on top. And charged gas at a higher amount than current area charges per gallon.

The two gentlemen I dealt with there seemed very knowledgeable, were extremely helpful and in general a pleasure to do business with, As far as suggestions, it would be nice if the furniture dolly had been installed on the left rear so that it was situated between door and the gas fill. Reason is that this space is already a precarious location for packing and stacking with the gas fill in the way, it would free up some premium usable space. Just my thoughts, Steve

I was over charged for 33 miles and a fuel charge. I'll order them to this at the store that I rented from at 10:30 the next morning when I noticed the over charge on my credit card they said they're going to call me back after they have fixed it and it's now 7:30 p.m. the same day and no one has called me back. They are trying to tell me that I drove 90 miles in an hour and a half also they're saying I didn't fill the tank back up to what it was and I have a receipt to prove that I put the amount of fuel back in right before I dropped it back off to them.
