I reserved a pickup truck at 1:30 pm on Saturday February 27,2021, and when I arrived, I was told that the truck was not available, and that they had no other vehicle available at the time. Mr JORDAN BEMILLER asked me to give him a couple minutes to see what he could do. I stood at the front desk for about 45 minutes waiting for them to figure something out, and after almost an hour of waiting, they finally decided to give me a 10 foot trailer, which isn't what I needed but I did need something at that exact moment so I agreed to take it! After I agreed, the process proceeded to take longer than needed, something wrong with their trucks that wouldn't process or something like that. The point is that I wasted almost an hour and a half to obtain a truck that I didn't even need which was already inconvenient enough, and MR BEMILLER wouldn't even take my payment method after I explained to him that I was using an Apple Card that obviously does not have any numbers on the physical card so I was showing him my card info on my cellphone... He kept trying to tell me that he couldn't take it and that I had to bring another card in even tho someone else in the store, who I believe was his manager, repeatedly told him that the card I was using was perfectly valid. I have used this service before and everything had always been perfect, but this experience was honestly the worst, it set me back by a lot on my moving day. I strongly believe I shouldn't have even paid for the service because of how bad it was! But the truck was needed so I ended up paying it anyways. When I dropped off the truck, the guy who assisted me accused me of scratching the side panel on top meanwhile the whole truck was covered in scratches and scuff marks. I didn't hit anything or scratch the truck.

The check in process, via my cell phone after hours last night (Sunday, Feb 21) did not work. I was informed today, when I called and spoke to a Chatsworth Uhaul rep, that the computers were down last night. That was painful. Additionally, after speaking with one rep at ChAtsworth, Ca, I received another call from another rep at Chatsworth asking If I was going to return the truck, which was sitting in their parking lot. ??????? I told them it was there at their lot, and they appologized fir the mistake. Seemed odd to me.

They were rude, then kept handing my paperwork to other people and then after I waited for 30 minutes already, told me they didn't have a truck for me. Even though we had been sent to them by another uhaul place. Got the truck late and they extended it but I didn't need an extended time. I needed the truck on time.

I was greeted by friendly employees who were able to quickly find my reservation and get the contract and truck ready quickly. The process took maybe less than fifteen minutes and we were down the road in the truck.
Your online rental requests that the customer give information to speed up the rental process. However I find that the additional requested information online is just a waste of time. The same questions and procedures are conducted whether you complete the early check or not. The return check in procedure should be a quick and painless procedure. Yet, I found myself waiting 10 to 15 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that I am there? I use your services on a fairly frequent basis, and you can pretty much count on 45 minutes to an hour of wasted time between the initial purchase check in and the return check in. I am sure you have invested a great deal of funds into your computer system in an effort to speed up the process. It seems to me the process is no better today than it was 5 years ago. Bottom line, you need better trained employees, more motivated employees, or more employees, or a combination of all. I would use a different service if yours was not so close to my home. Hope you are listening.

Customer service inside was a little slow and nothing was explained to me in person about insurance or anything. I had booked online, but I thought I might get a verbal summary in person. The man who looked the van over when we returned it was very professional and friendly. I think in the morning you might want to have a second person working so that people can check out faster.

I talked to by phone or in person at least 10 uhaul personnel from the ordering process to drop off and they were all very professional, helpful and courteous.
Made a reservation two weeks prior to pick up and when in Ventura California at Thompson - when I arrived no Truck ? I even called the day before and they said your set to go. I drove over 400 miles to get to this location only to be turned back around for another 120 mile trip sending me to another location and making me pay loaders for sitting around for 2-1/2 hours. After requesting a mileage discount (again only after asking) I was provided with 50 extra miles and a credit of $50 which actually came out to $13.22 - Very Unhappy Note The Devonshire office was GREAT - the Ventura office was under staffed and I had to complain in order to get action.

The front desk staff were rude and not friendly at all. They were not approachable nor helpful once you did approach them.
This location really helped me out by scheduling the trunk and tow dolly for the next morning. Much faster than the central scheduling system. They were very polite and helpful also.

U-Haul Moving-Chatsworth staff were very professional in addressing my moving vehicle needs. They were prompt and courteous. The inside the vehicle cab was spotless! The Simi-Los Angeles Street staff are super-duper too, for refering the Chatsworth location for my transportation needs.
The truck we rented was not tall enough as we were promised. The transmission was in poor shape. Had poor acceleration. The cashier would not rent the dolly back to me after dropping it off with out another $10.00 rental charge. You should have dollys with handle extensions for large appliances.

I reserved a van (Ford) a week in advance but I wasn't given the one that I needed on the date specified! I was told that the guy who reserved the Ford for you is not working here anymore! I still don't understand what mean it does!!! Instead, I was given a GMC van which had serious technical issues. First of all the brakes were so soft and spongy. Second, the vehicle needed chassis alignment. Third, its string wheel needed alignment. Fourth and the worst thing, the vehicle smelled like a farm of marijuana.
The truck stank from marijuana and cigarettes.... The ashtray still had cigarette butts in it. We had to use air freshener throughout our 1000 mile trip. Not appreciated!!!!

My original reservation in Santa Barbara didn't work out and due to urgency, I had to bite the bullet and commit to an additional 80-90 miles toward my total commute but it was well worth it. Every single employee I interacted with was super helpful with our reservation. Special shoutout to Carl (or Carlos, I forget the name tag spelling) for being great with check-in!

Make sure tires are good and not bald .
The original trailer I was going to rent had problems with the lights. After the employee spending 15 minutes hooking up the trailer. (I have a Tesla Model Y) and he had trouble hooking the chains up.
