The female agent on duty at the time I picked up the Cargo van was very arrogant and not helpful.I am a 75 year old widow and not too familiar with checking in with my cellphone. I had a hard time checking in and she was very reluctant to help me. She did a poor job of representing U-HAul! She needs training on how to treat customers!!!

They obviously need to test drive the vehicles because the brakes on the truck that I had were really bad, Whenever I applied the brake the car was jerking especially when breaking at a high rate of speed and making a loud noice. Other than that everything was OK with the truck.

It was an okay experience, it ended up returning the truck late because my move got delayed by two hours when the lady called me , I apologized but it was out of my control she just kept telling me their was another family waiting she kept demanding I give her a time, when I dropped the vehicle off she had an attitude and made someone else help me this is the thing, I work in customer service and things happen

The Chicago State location is my new favorite. I am a sucker for great service! The exceptional customer service has been consistent at this location! Ayanna has gone out of her way multiple times to accommodate and ensure that my rental experience was pleasant. That just doesn't happen these days! From check out to checkin, all of the staff have always been great!

Do not require the customer to verify the before mileage! The attendants should do it. All of your apps did not work on my phone, including submitting my driver's license. I added more fuel than was in the vehicle at the time i rented it. I put in 2.554 gallons for $13.02. You charged me $12.50 for gas. Your attendants said there was no record of the amount of fuel in the van before I left.. So how did they know to charge me the $12.50?

When someone rents before they open they should leave keys so you can actually get the truck. Drove all the way their and they did not leave keys so I had to come back when they opened.

Teach all clerks customer service based communication; instill desire to be professionally dressed (this doesn't mean suits and ties….it does mean no dingy clothes, dirty clothes, ill fitting clothes, sagging pants, graphic tees; my interaction with your evening staff made what I thought to be a good option for Uhaul, questionable, uncomfortable, and a teachable moment for my nephew who was with me. Teach your customer service agents to talk with me, not at me. Culture, upbringing, background be damned! No excuse, since most people will “conform”, “align” and “socialize” with other people, so any excuse your employees being up about you not want to g them to express themselves will be bullshit. Thanks for being the location I had to go to, because another location didn't have the forethought to inform me they were canceling my reservation. Amazing how we don't know what a person is going through, and assume all customers fit the “training” examples We're all one in 7 billion trying to survive this “speck of dust caught in a sunbeam”

I was unsure of how the self mobile pickup went. I proceed inside there were two gentlemen that their, I asked one for assistance his response was he wasn't sure how it goes. And told me that my keys should be in truck. I finally figured it out 30 mins later to then find out I had to get the keys from him at the counter! They were unhelpful and useless.

The truck was raggedy. The gas cap was missing. The tires needed air not to mention they need to be replaced which makes it dangerous to drive. The sun visor was broken so it kept falling while I was driving. There's no maintenance done on these vehicles. At least half of what I spent should be refunded. I spent $114.

When I arrived to pick up the equipment the young man who helped me had me standing there until he finished his phone conversation with his daughter which was five minutes or better/ when I dropped the equipment off another young man was on the phone using profanity towards whoever he was on the phone with. Customer service is at a all time low at this location which makes you think how many other customers have experienced this. I will never again visit this location

I made a reservation for large storage. When I got there there was not one. It took a hour to rent a truck. Terrible customer service!!! Never again!

I hate four different charges to my account. And when I called to ask what it was for I was told that the charges are pending and therefore I was not charged. I know what pending charges mean it means that the CHARGE is being processed. I want to know why I was charged to begin with. But a manger apparently just leaves this location whenever they want and does not return calls when I was told that she would be returning my call. I would like somebody to simply answer my question with no attitude or condescending language.

They charged me $20 extra for getting there a few MINUTES early to drop off the key and charged me an overnight drop off fee after only having the van overnight in the first place. Out of damn near $100 for nothing. Then the cocky girl whole is always rude in my opinion was very smart mouthed about it. Also, if you're going to have them tell people they can just drop it in the box , they should mention it's for more money and not because you're trying to make things BETTER for customers. It cost them nothing to do the same check out they would have done had I waited. I rent there often but will never go back. I'm done with uhaul all together. I'm moving soon and will find another way.

The young ladies had all the trucks clean after the snow storm the previous day. The lot was plowed and clean and my truck was warmed and ready when I entered it. They recommended the items I needed to move my sister apartment items into storage. Very awesome job .

My mother had a storage and passes in 2019! They wouldn’t let me and my siblings take certain items they wanted us to take the entire storage and that was not possible. We had nowhere to store her belonging they auctioned her things for $9.00 which made us feel like we lost our mom all over again. This really hurts!

Most of the staff were nice, especially the woman that helped my mom and I out the day I arrived. I am definitely confused on how my card that I made the reservation with was charged 7. 95. I was told when I made the reservation that my card would not be charged. Also, my mothers card was charged for damages, 68.00 for damages that I did not cause. I don't think that's cool. I didn't get a chance to upload my own photos which I did take BEFORE we even took off with the van. I will keep my storage there, but definitely don't understand how both cards were charged.

They were doing work above my storage unit 017A and there was dust and debits all over my belongings in storage including a painting and a antique wine cart didn't make any since they could have covered up my unit.

The WORST storage unit ever!!!!! My mattresses, clothes, rugs, shoes and much much more were full of RAT DROPPINGS and URINE Had to sweep out my own unit out which was very hazardous and it amounted to a pile knee high of dropping and on top of that to have Ayana Howard which is the manager that have THEE WORST ATTITUDE & THEE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE a Facility could ever have, complaints were written millions of times and nothing was done Ayana Howard must of came with the bricks on the building or U-Haul is in need of disparate help! Proven fact....I let my unit go due to the droppings which had nice things in there mind you and it all could be replaced mind you again!!! But yet and still the unit was only sold for $25 so go figure!!!! PS....Nasty as Ayana Howard was I wouldn’t doubt it if she brought the unit for herself! RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!

This location seems to have a major rat issue in the basement. I noticed rat droppings in many locations. Additionally, my storage unit had lots of sheet work and ceiling/construction dust and residue. There looks like construction has been taking place on the ceiling and was never fully repaired. I also feel that you should all enforce making your employees wear mask during covid. The manager on duty wasn't wearing a mask while assisting me. Your employees at this location could also be more professional. When you walk in they are playing around and take all day in order to ask what you need. It's a job not a social club. Thanks.

This location seemed to have a major rat problem. There are rat droppings in the lower area. Additionally, when I came back into my storage facility in order to move there was sheet rock or ceiling particles everywhere. It looked as though they were doing some ceiling work in that area but didn't take the time to protect clients items. I look up and their were roofing pieces hanging out. My last issue is that one of the women at the front desk- I believe the manager, didn't have on a mask. Covid is still a real threat.

The staff was very rude and they have no type of sympathy for this virus and the impact that it's causing. On top of everything else I had rat droppings in my unit and had no food in there. That was one of the reasons I took my things out of there
