Was told my estimate would be about $80.00 when I got there. When I returned it, the rep was busy and said just leave the van there and she would email me my final bill. I noticed on my bank statement I had 2 charges from U-Haul for $80.00 and another for $28.00 dollars. I then called and asked why the 2 charges and she said thats how it shows up at the bank. I said that I never recieved an email of my bill to explain in detail of charges, she said Ill send it now and we ended the call. I got the email and it was so small you could hardly read it and I still do not know where the extra $28.00 dollars were charged as.PAUL S.

The woman who waited on me was great -- quick and competent. There was a male employee at the desk when I arrived. He was engaged in a conversation with her and was also unmasked. He didn't interrupt his conversation nor put on his mask while I waited. This didn't cost me much time, but it does create a poor customer service impression.MARVIN B.

They gave me a brand new truck but it was obvious that they didn't check the truck before giving it to me. I traveled for New Jersey to Mississippi with a truck that keep drifting to the right so I had to hold on to the steering wheel real tight in order to keep it straight and the breaks were just as bad. there are a lot of whining road and hills and when I put my foot on the breaks I had to push them all the down to the floor and the truck would still be rolling. Thank god I made it here in one piece. Do better UHaul you are playing with peoples lives!Eva P.

It's the nickel and diming that made me decide to not return here again and to suggest for others to look elsewhere. It is very possibly just the nature of U-Haul and not necessarily THIS location, but it seems designed to squeeze every cent out of each transaction. As a local resident who'd like to occasionally make use of a truck or van, that's not the kind of relationship I want to have with a business. I was lured in with the van @ 19.99 for local use. I walked out having paid $59. I drove just 9 miles and had the vehicle for 90 minutes. I had to pay $1 for each mile I know but more still for 2 gallons of gas (that was according to the receipt. So the van only gets 4.5 miles per gal??) The feeling was one of looking for every opportunity to charge me. I'm just glad the wear on the tires was included. I'd probably feel differently going in knowing up front it'd cost $60. But thinking I'm paying $20 and then paying $60 - no thanks.John W.

We thought that Ryan Schaller was very helpful. Even though it was the end of the day he was kind, patient and thoughtful. Drop off experience a problem. I could not get the app to work, this could not totally close out the drop off as described. My location was not verified thus I could not complete the process so I just put the keys in the drop box.Timothy K.

Worst experience with uhaul. Changed our reservation 3 times to separate location further from our initial area. Location was changed in the middle of the night to wake up and find out I needed to drive further away to pick up. No compensation for the additional miles uhaul forced on us that we had to pay for. I only booked because they said they had the truck on site. Forced to drop off again further away then my scheduled drop off location and uhaul made me cover those miles. Then they took more money from my account then agreed upon. Terrible business terrible way to handle customers. Never again!!! Not even an offer to cover all the miles they forced on me.Lauren S.

I originally scheduled the 26' truck for the Philadelphia store on Roosevelt boulevard received an email that it was switched to cinnamon to New Jersey it added 16 miles to my trip the other problem was when I called the storm Roosevelt boulevard I had a disagreement with the guy on the phone and he syud my brother you don't understand and then hung up on me I was speaking to Dave from the cinnamon store and he rectified the problem but I was not able to keep the 26' truck for 2 days like I needed it so I had to rent 2 trucks and put 64 miles on addition that I did need to I don't think that was fair to me I think I was overcharged but I was in a bind so that's what I had to do basically rent 2 trucks and drive more mileage for something that wasn't my fault overall with the cinnaminson store fairly happy with u-haul not happy at all due to the fact of the guy the way he spoke to me at the store On Roosevelt boulevard called the customer hotline and basicallyAaron H.

Customer service was horrible from the clerk at the pick up store. The first store changed my reservation with out telling me until I arrived, sent me 10 miles up the road wich added to my mileage to my destination. When I got there there was an in experienced young man at the desk. Apparently it was his first day and could only ring up purchased items nothing else. He informed us of this and said we had to wait for somebody else. 20 minutes later the other guy came out and we SUPER RUDE! I am so appalled at his attitude, he never even gave me the keys to the truck told me they don't do valet and walked away!! Finally after getting my first load off the truck IT WOULDNT START! Had to wait 45 minutes for someone to come out and jump start the truck and he told me not to turn the truck off and to hurry and finish and return it, as it may not start again. How awful is that. So now I'm nervous it's 6 hours later already dark and extremely late. Driving back the inside lights wouldn't work so now I'm driving â€œblindâ€ and was in fear that I would break down again on the side of the road this time. I will NEVER use uhaul again. I am so disgusted with this experience especially as this was supposed to be a happy time for me purchasing my first home and moving in. Totally ruined. I need to speak with someone about this ASAP. I was supposed to pick up my van on kings hyw in maple shade , which is 4 minutes away . On the morning of pick up , I received an email stating that I was to pick up in Cinaminson , this pissed me off as I had made arrangements to be dropped off in Maple Shade. Unacceptable to do this with no warning or permission.Linda P.
answer the phone. When the tire goes flat on A/C expressway.90 min. wait for u-haul to change the tire. then fine out that is not permitted on A/C exp. A/C had to tow the truck off the exp.Then wait another 90 mins. Also, call attention to the tires before we left Cinna. u-haul they said the tires are just low and put air in the two back tires. For the first 2 years i kept complaining that i could barely get into my unit because it was so difficult to roll the door up...3 times i went to the office or called the office from outside my unit to please come and open my door...all 3 times i waited over a half hours after i asked for someone to help...2 of those times i was berated and treated as if i was an obstinate child (I'm 66 and was very respectful) the 3rd time after they couldn't get the door open they told me they would make an appointment for it to get fixed...they neglected to tell me i would need to be there and i was to call later to see when. A repair person was available...so 2 months later i went to the office and was told i needed to be there. Finally a repair person showed up and asked me how long my door was this bad..i replied since i moved in...he was a new repair person,who was unbelievably nice,sweet and talented (so unlike 2 other U-Haul employees)and fixed my door in 35 minutes...he was appalled that i dealt with this for over 2 years...i was previously told this is how these doors are, you need some elbow grease...I'm disabled and have limited use of my "elbows" ...however after the door was fixed i could open it all by myself...so over the years i had 2 UHaul employees and mr fix-it who was wonderful...all the others shouldn't have a costumer oriented job...other then coming to place stuff into the unit or emptying the unit i probably only visited the unit 20 times in the years that i had it...so i don't think this UHaul faired well as a customer oriented business who's employees are told to be respectful of their long term customer's. ..DIANE M. | Overall Experience
