I asked for a trilering plug to connect my trailer you didn't have what I needed had to take an hour and wire one into yours so I could tow my enclosed trailer 6 prong plug truck had garbage from last renter wasnt too bad I told them when I dropped it off other than that very pleased with my rental

Location was convenient but they were on the phone with personal business when I cam in and did not even try to hurry to get off the phone. The person who hooked up the trailer was very nice but the trailer had torn straps and the clinging piece on either side was in very poor condition.

Answer your phone and do better checks on vehicles being sent out with respect to gas levels. I was advised the gas was at full and needed to return it with a full tank. As I got two or three miles down the road, I noticed the tank was actually at half full and decided to take a picture of the gas gauge - just in case. As I was given the phone number with advice to call if I had any problems, I started calling to let them know I would only be bringing the vehicle back half full as that was what I left with. I stayed on hold the whole time I drove to my destination (I hung up and called back several times - only once did anyone answer, then abruptly put me back on hold). If I hadn't taken the picture, I would have had a real problem when I returned the vehicle approximately an hour later. Even when the front is very busy, someone has to be available to pick up the phone in case a customer has a problem.

Your system had difficulty accepting two credit cards when we attempted to pay. After several attempts, it finally went through. As a result, we were in the office almost a half hour paying the bill. I will add, I don’t believe that it was the operator but rather the system since all of a sudden it worked. The people who worked there were friendly and polite...very customer focused.

The app was very slow. Took almost a half an hour to approve my husband as the driver. Also, we were charged for 2 days just for extending our reservation. I don't think that pricing rate was fair but we were desperate to extend just a couple more hours.

The truck that I reserved online was double booked and I found this out when I went to Compass self storage at Warren, MI where I originally rented the truck. I was waiting for 1.5 hours for an answer and the possibility of getting a truck which was reserved for 11 AM on April 27. I hired moving company which was supposed to shift all my furniture at 12 noon. I lost a lot of money because of this. I was asked to pick up another u haul at 1 30 PM from u haul at Madison Heights MI. I left the warren location, on the way back the guy at the new location tells me that they can’t give me one at 1 30 and asked me to go to Clinton township which is 25 miles/35 minutes from where I live. This has been the worst experience ever, not just with a moving company but everything combined.

I rented a storage unit and a uhaul I realized my unit was to small so I needed a larger one , so I rented a larger one and moved all my stuff from my house to my larger one . I was told I only had the uhaul of 6 hrs so I didn’t get to move my stuff from my old unit to my new one before returning it . The next day I went it to talk to them about it and I was told I had the uhaul for 24 hrs so if that was the case I should of still had it so I could move the rest of my stuff . The man told me I already checked it in so I would have pay again just to move a few things across the parking lot . The man didn’t even try to help us out just kept saying you must pay again.

I had a problem concerning my U-Haul delivery and the manager at the shipping location was on a scheduled vacation. So, a manager at a totally different location took my question, researched the problem and came back with a satisfactory resolution. Most companies would not exhibit this level of effort. Thank you U-Haul for restoring my faith in large company customer service.

UHaul Mobile App incorrectly displays availability of units at local locations. After booking via App I received almost instantaneous call back from a representative forcing me to switch location of rental. App bookings are useless in that case.

Since you are asking ... I HAD A T TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!!! The original UHaul facility I requested was on Little Mack Avenue in St Claire Shores, MI. where they refused to hook up the trailer I had reserved online and had sitting on their lot! The young man in charge was throwing out Acronyms (evidently UHaul “pet” jargon) saying he could not rent me the 75 trailer I had reserved. I HAD RESERVED. It had something to do with - in his words - “They had a 75 on the lot but I could only rent a 7 or 65”. A whole lot of guessing on my part finally got down to the fact that he was talking about 7500 pound, 7000 pound and 6500 pound towing capacity. Believe me, it was not easy to get this out of him. He said Our Ford F-150 was not rated to tow the 7500 pound trailer. That’s a Simply not true, according to the Ford Motor Company ratings! Our truck is totally equipped and rated for Max Towing capability up to 10,000 pounds. But, he would not hook it up! I wasted 45 minutes sitting in his guest chair arguing that I had a confirmed reservation and, as such, a tacit approval of UHaul to hook up that trailer and be on my way. He refused. He even nastily said, “What do you want me to do?” When I said “Rent me the trailer.” His retort was, “So, you can get us all to get fired!”. What a nasty, nasty ill-equipped person to have put in charge! After arguing a bit back and forth, he finally asked, “Do you want me to call dispatch? Maybe they have a 65 or 7 trailer in area ______”. Look, I reserved the trailer online and received a confirmation/reservation number. Good and proper business acumen should have put the proper trailer on the Little Mack lot so the customer doesn't suffer all this pain trying to do business with your company. Right? Believe me when I say this ... if I can find another company to do business with in the future, I will avoid UHaul with ferocity... and, for sure, will never return to the Little Mack facility. (By the way, when a lady from the Littke Mack facility called about my experience, I reported the incident and asked that the manager call me. He did not). You should know that our family has been averaging up to 4 UHaul car transport rentals a year. To be treated with such lack of respect speaks of a company that does not value its customers one iota! Now, the rest of the story. I was directed to the Gratiot facility in Clinton Township, after your area dispatcher found a 65 or 7 car transport. The young man at that facility bent over backwards to get me on the road. However, the trailer he hooked up was rickety, rusty and rattlely! The worst I’ve encountered. I was told I had the trailer for 3 days. But, the next morning I started getting phone calls from UHaul asking when and where I was going to return the trailer. The entire experience was horrible. Inform your employees on procedures like connecting a trailer to a vehicle. As soon as left The parking lot the trailer came in hooked from my Vehicle. When I returned the trailer I told this story And I got nothing. They did not seemed phased.

It seems when I checked the vehicle in that the young man who had a smart phone forgot to upload the data upon return. No big deal but it did prompt a call from the manager as to what happened.

Improve customer satisfaction in the reservation department. Get away from the computer contact BS and try to find out why your customers are requesting a set time and location before you just have them go out of their way to grace you with their business. The customer's request should come first. If it wasn't for the customers, you wouldn't be in business.

Couldn’t get in contact with the general manager(Breannada)Received a SMALL storage unit due to her advise when i informed her that i a lot of things go move. Got to storage unit and my things that i worked HARD for had no choice but to be stuffed because of this SMALL storage unit. Just terrible. Went threw about 5 people for them to tell me only the manager can switch you out but she unavailable. Just poor service ESPECIALLY CHRIS AND SAMANTHA. She had no freaking CLUE on how to help me.

Checking in was great, fast and easy. However, I paid EXTRA for 24 hr access, to inturn be denied entry into the unit as I sat outside with not 1 but 2 puck up trucks. Customer service was no help
