KEVIN HThe first guy refused to help me. Terrible customer service. The other two people that helped me, it seemed as if I were bothering them. I asked for help guiding my truck up since I was by myself. He got annoyed with me and said "it's super easy, the instructions are on the side" being very dismissive, until i had to nearly demand him to help me. There was no option online for me to select to have help, so he treated me like he just wanted me to go away. They seemed to have no knowledge of what I requested on my reservation. There was no courtesy help until I had to keep going inside to nearly complain. The equipment was frozen and the first comment was "you don't have the straps pulled out all the way". Then when she couldn't get it, they finally went to get hot water. And then the other guy i asked for help came back out to assist seeing that there was a problem, and not just me being an annoying customer. When the second guy guided me to, by the way, the first one had told me he'd be right back, never came back out until he saw the other assisting me, then said "I told her to wait because it's frozen", which he did not say to me. Yes, it was snowing, no the ice wasn't going to go away. I let them know i was moving across state and had to be at my new residence the next day. Doing this another day unfortunately wasn't an option, and I'm glad I'll never have to go to that location again.

JODY PHire staff who are interested in doing their job in a pleasant professional manner. We arrived around 5pm to pick-up trailer and place was dark. When we went into office, the lights inside suddenly came on....Assume motion turned them on which was very interesting since an employee and a non-employee were in the office. Returned equipment, employee said nothing more than "you returning" and when I said yes he went and unhooked trailer (I heard the trailer tongue being dropped to ground) and walked back by saying "your good to go". WOW what pleasantry!!!!

IRAM IThe vehicle was clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and efficient and I was in and it quickly at pickup and drop off times. The charge on my credit card briefly showed twice on my credit card which was a little concerning, but came off after 24 hours to the correct amount. I don’t know if that’s because I booked online and then used my card at pick up time for my card on hold. I didn’t call, because it didn’t stay on and only ever showed pending. Just letting you know this might worry someone if they had limited space on their card.

Michael SFrustrating and Inefficient Experience U-Haul’s local location couldn’t deliver my U-Box containers, forcing me to rent a truck and trailer. I was initially told I could haul two per trip, but upon arrival, I was required to make four separate trips—doubling my time, mileage, and fuel costs. On the second day, I was told to delay pickup until noon due to "busy hours," causing further delays. Poor communication and inefficiency made this process far more stressful than it should have been.

BENIGNO GThe man helping us always responded Idk or I’m not sure. He couldn’t answer any of our questions. The lady her name started with an S was the rudest, hatefulest person I’ve ever encountered in a customer service position. The trailer was great the service was horrible.
KEVIN AEmploy would not inspect the truck with me. He told me to just leave it. Even though no one else was at the location. Later I got a bill for additional gas at $4.00 per gallon that I forgot to top off. Lazy employee.

HAL BLocation wise, the 3-stars is not your fault. The traffic and access to the parking area is horrendous. Again, not U-Hauls fault. Clovis city planning at its finest. Regarding the trailer, I would recommend installing overhead lighting. Would make use during hours of darkness much more manageable.
AARON GThe only downside to every single experience that I have had at this U-Haul is the angry looking employees. No one can say hello, good morning, good evening, have a nice day, nothing. Not once has an employee there, so much is given the smile.

adrian vIt happens, but the person on duty at 7 a.m. was not there by my 7 a.m. scheduled appointment due to his vehicle’s dead battery. I waited until 7:07 before individual pulled into parking lot. At 7:00, I called UHaul’s customer service number. Michael (I already completed a survey on him; he was most helpful) and he told me about individual’s dead battery and that this individual was just then arriving.
John RBy far the worst experience I've ever had. The truck was dirty when I picked it up, they said it had a half a tank it was actually much lower than that. Then the truck kept having issues with the engine. It would get stuck at 3000 rpms sometimes 4000 rpms and I couldn't get it to slow down or speed up. I had to do a weird combo of pump brakes and hit the gas for it to find what gear it wanted to be in and work again. I have videos of this. Then I had a blow out during my last 100 miles. I pulled over to get roadside assistance and the app couldn't find my location. I called the drop off location and no one picked up the phone. So I called back to the pickup location and they said just drive it to the closest location to get it serviced. It was roughly 60 miles away. When I dropped off the truck they were only supposed to charge me for the two extra days which is $80 but there's a bank charge for $140 now! After all this is believe i deserve some compensation. I would like a call back and someone to help. Im tempted to go to base legal here at Luke AFB and see what I can do. My cell is 813-420-0366.

STACY TI was mad at the U-Haul people in Miami and I’m afraid I took it out on these people in Clovis. They are the nicest people I have met in a long time, and I wish to save them very much for patience that they had with me.

DAVID RToo bad the only employee actually working/interacting with customers is the female while seemingly lazy, do nothing males sit and watch! Guess if you can collect wages and let the "odd one out" (the female) do all the work and the company doesn't figure it out, you have a good gig. The only employee willing to assist us at pick up and return was friendly, knowledgeable and the female!! With current road work its nearly impossible to get to the location. When I booked the local trailer rental I was told "it might not happen" because all the trailer rentals at this location are one way. So if I wanted a local trailer rental and resrved it, would that mean a one way rental customer could come in later and take the last trailer? Interesting

DAVID HNo lights in the storage units, halls and doorways were far too narrow for my furniture, and they didn’t offer climate controlled spaces. Worst U-Haul storage facility I have ever seen, but the staff was friendly and helpful.

ANITA R | Overall ExperienceThe advertised dimensions for my unit were 6'x8'x8'. The actual size was 5x7x7. The difference is 122 cubic feet. The clerk shrugged and said, "the description in the computer is 6x8." When I invited him to come measure it with me he reluctantly agreed to give me a larger unit at the same price. However, he couldn't figure out how to do it in the computer and said we'd figure it out at the end of my free month. Somehow, I doubt it. After moving into my home I decided the 5x7x7 unit would be large enough for my storage, and easier to move than argue with them about the rate. When I asked to switch to the smaller unit they wanted to charge me insurance again for a whole month, even though I'd used the unit for less than two weeks. They said, "nothing transfers from the previous unit." Forget it. I crammed everything into my garage. I'll do everything I can to not give U-Haul any more of my money. Their customer service is pathetic.

When I asked for the storage prices snd said “hmm?” thinking of the sizes he rudely said “your welcome to go we elsewhere if you need to”. I was just thinking for a moment. He got irritated with me asking questions. Thankfully the next two guys were VERY helpful and considerate.
