I was helped several time by the staff at this address. I absolutely loved it. They helped with the app on my phone and payments and when I lost my keys to my storage. They promptly got that done for me to get out something I need out at a time sensitive moment. All of them were great. I have rented a small truck once and returned it. Very happy.

I rented unit for over 4 years and I was very pleased with the unit and the staff. We just no longer had need for a storage unit for my mothers stuff.

The original vehicle that was guaranteed for me was not available, and I was given a different one another 10 or so miles away which added mileage and of course price to the trip, which although customer support was amazing and still managed to get me a different vehicle within the hour, I would have appreciated a discount on mileage, or the $50 reimbursement after not receiving the truck I was guaranteed, but I have still not been able to get ahold of someone who will assist in that. That said the customer service was otherwise fantastic and responsive, and the truck was clean and well maintained.

This was a great rental experience. Employees were available, prompt, informative, and helpful. Truck was ready on time and there were no surprises with fees or unknown charges. It was a good deal for a 24-hour rental.

Only issue was we need a larger units. We are renting 3 now. Would like if someone would reach out if something larger comes available. We already rented but the moving day is the 7 th of April. More space would be great! Staff is great and location is well maintained. They can’t help that units are booked.

I was supposed to pick up my 20’ truck & tow dolly from Byrd’s mini storage in Dawsonville, GA and they had a week to get my equipment there but failed epically to do it and try to change my reservation to a truck that wouldn’t fit down my neighborhood Street. I never did get my tow dolly and had to leave my vehicle at a friend’s house with my things. I’m not very happy about that because that’s another trip I did not intend to make. When I did rent the truck I never did get a furniture, dolly or an appliance dolly as requested either so that made moving a lot more difficult. They kept trying to get me to go all over places in Georgia. I’ve never heard of to get a tow dolly and I had enough to deal with. I didn’t have time to play ‘Where is Waldo?!

Does not make sense that you put all your information in on the website to secure the rental only to have to do it all over again once you arrive on location. Should be able to use all the information that you put in on the website.

To improve for next customer, signage at the road to indicate the location is in the building behind the one at the road. It's a good thing there were U-Haul trucks in the parking lot at the road to show there was a U-Haul nearby (lurking behind the building that was visible from the road.)

The employee that helped us did an exceptional job; both when we picked up the trailer and when we returned it. The first trailer was not cleaned inside and he refused to give it to us. He immediately found a clean trailer and off we went in just a matter of minutes.

Picked up trailer and drove 2.5 hours to my destination. Then I called to find out where to drop it off. They told me I had to bring it back. I was told I could drop the trailer at any location. I ended up calling and speaking to uhaul 9 different times over the next few hours each call telling me something different. I was sent to a location and there was no way to drop it off there. Terrible experience.

Everything with my reservation and pickup on was smooth and professional. The equipment was ready, clean, and overall the process was super smooth. I had the complete opposite experience when returning the equipment on Sunday. The individual working the counter did not come out to the return area to check me in as the sign stated. When I walked in, the employee said “you too?!?!” When I said I was there to return a trailer. He was very rude unhooking the trailer and didn’t want to provide a receipt or even inspect the trailer. When I insisted on the receipt, he printed it and handed it to me aggressively without a single word. I will definitely not return to this store.

staff very helpful convenient location EQUIPMENT looked ok... but had (probably) a bend axel on trailer. Caused me to go to another location to swap-out equipment.... Bounced and vibrated terribly between 15mph and 30 mph.... couldn't accelerate..... once above 30-35 - it was OK... but was nearly impossible to drive on small streets or roads with lights.... Caused us big delay in changing equipment.... and hopefully no damage to our vehicle.

De'Mon is amazing. He knows why but he helped us on a day where we were stressed and overwhelmed. We expected our experience to be the same at the storage facility. We were wrong. When we arrived we were greeted immediately. When we made it inside De'Mon was helpful, precise, professional, knowledgeable and even compassionate. Acknowledged our daughter which made her happy. Gave us a bit of hope that maybe the day wasn't ruined with how badly our move went. We understand why he's the GM there. Should be for a whole region. Should be senior management.

My biggest complaints are: The price increase, which is just part of life lately since the cost of everything is going up AND the fact that the unit has a leak in the ceiling which soaked everything in my unit. I don’t know if it’s a toilet or just a water drain but it was disgusting!

Our move took much longer than we thought. By the time we got there & unloaded, we were locked into the storage facility parking lot (after 9pm) & had to call someone who was on call to let us out. Staff was wonderful and helpful, but the facility looks a little old, dated. The only real negatives were small: 1) no lighting inside the unit; and 2) our unit was dusty and filled with spider webs and eggs, so not completely cleaned out before we opened the unit. Also, our unit is against the outside wall and there is a 2-inch deep and 5-inch wide depression built in to the concrete floor along the outside wall that is impossible to sweep. We will take a battery powered shop vac next time we go. We do highly recommend U-Haul Moving & Storage of Cumming.

I rented and paid for a 10x10 unit on 11/27/21. I came back on 12/5/21 to put a lock on and start putting things in. My unit was rented to someone else!! Just because it was empty!! He said that because it was empty for a week they assumed I moved out!! Regardless of it being empty or not I rented that unit and there was no payment due until 12/27/21!!! I just don't understand how that happened...

U-haul charges a full month for any portion of a month. They did say maybe one or 2 day additional will avoid paying another entire month. The do not pro-rate. That gives them the opportunity to collect 2 rent amounts from 2 different renters for the same space. It would be very good business to pro-rate so the renter could move when the timing works for them. I will probably look elsewhere the next time. The Management for this Cumming Office were very nice, but their hands were tied by Corporate. Also, keep in mind if you reserve a space or vehicle in an office the Corporate computer order system can negate your reservation.

De'Mon is sincerely THE BEST manager I've EVER dealt with. The 2-weeks prior to physically visiting his location, I had tried to call (6x) and get info about a 10x10 Climate Controlled Unit. The person on the phone said that didn't have any and I'd have to keep trying. So, a few days later, I physically paid-a-visit to the store and De'Mon was there. He did a little research and got me into a 10x10 CCU...in 5 minutes. Now THAT is customer service!! De'Mon is friendly, professional, knowledgeable & accommodating...all with a sense of humor. The following note DOES NOT apply to/concern De'Mon: My only issue is that, 8 out of 10 times, I can't reach a CSR at the location.

U-Haul Corporate is great, but this is the second time this particular location has tried to rip me off. The first time they tried claiming that I drove over 100 miles and loaded a full large truck came back and unloaded it into the unit within an hour and a half. This was obviously false and corporate fixed the issue. This time I submitted online that I was ready to move out cleaned out the unit and submitted all necessary info including photos and the manager was not approving the move out. I almost got charged for another month because he wasn't doing his job and processing move out requests. I had to call corporate to get it done so I wasn't charged again. Again corporate is awesome, but this location has literally tried to drain me of hundreds of dollars due to ineptitude or malice with a bad attitude in the process. Whatever reason, this location just needs better management and live up to the level of service U-Haul corporate provides. I shouldn't have to go to corporate to work out the issues every time. I think this location just hopes people won't go or won't know to call corporate and will pay the money and let themselves be taken advantage of.

Da'mon and Jeremy went out of their way to make our experience amazing. We had a huge mix up on our storage facility and that is what led us to this location. They immediately jumped in and did all the could to make it work for us and make sure we were happy. They were extremely patient with us as we worked through which size storage we would need. They answered all of our questions thoroughly and never seemed annoyed that we were asking yet again, another question. It was a Saturday and they were extremely busy, but they were kind and respectful to all that entered and greeted everyone with smiles. I would recommend this storage facility again and again!

I cannot remember the name of the guy who helped us at your site, but he's got red hair and looks like a poster child for Ireland! He unhooked our trailer when we arrived, helped us get a storage unit that was suitable for our stuff and needs, and was the guy we talked to throughout our stay through making reservations to leave. On the day we left there was another guy there who was just as helpful - so you have a wonderful staff there. A great overall experience, nice job UHaul!
