I had to contact other locations to get assistance. The vehicle was not cleaned and apparently they're not upholding their COVID sanitizing practices either. The location leaves much to be desired and looks abandoned. Waiting nearly an hour on-site to process a mobile pick up and had to wait for corporate support.Mitchell H.

My storage unit was illegally entered in lock cut off and change when I came to go inside I couldn't bcz uhaul change the wrobg.lock and didn't notify me wanted to charge me $50 to cut off my their lock when they made the error. My acct wasn't in the rears or had a Leon on it. I travel from FL to get my stuff and a it took me all day to get into the unit. I had to go buy a lock cutter to get in my storage unit that uhaul made a error when they cut and change the wrong storage unit. When I open the storage unit my lock was inside on the floor and my key fixed that lock. I was with uhaul for 4 yrs almost. I just closed out my large u it last week.Donna G. | Overall Experience

My storage unit was filthy. How is it piles of pollen and leaves made their way into a storage unit that was rarely accessed unless the structure was not very well maintained, which was also readily apparent by prices of the facade falling off the building my unit was in. Even worse is the fact that my storage rent was increased for a poorly maintained facility, yet no value was added to what was offered in continuing to store my items there.MELVON H. | Overall Experience

I treated terribly at another uhaul location on Sullivan Rd. Phone number 4043051201 on Friday 7/9/2021 around 230pm young lady was very rude I didn’t get her name because she hung up the phone and refused to answer after that. I didn’t even do the rental at that location I left, at that point I was desperate. I called the next location and that’s how I came across the location on Riverdale Rd. 7709910394 with Mr.FOXXY he was so polite and took his time to thoroughly explain the process to me far as self checking in etc! Let’s keep in mind it was raining also!! He was out in the rain and all!! He ensured the storage unit was ready for me and constantly reminded me that he was right there if I needed anything! He answered all my questions made everything easy for me and just overall provided excellent customer service! He saved the day for me as I was already having a difficult day he made everything better!! All companies need employees like Mr.FOXXY!! I originally reserved online a unit at the Riverdale location. On Thursday 5/20/2021 I went to reserve a moving truck for Friday 5/21. After reserving the truck I asked the representative could I go ahead and get my storage unit. It was around 6:45 pm and they closed at 7. He stated he had to finish closing up and would get another person to assist me. After the second representative looked me up in the system she noticed this location had no available units. Which led me to believe it is pointless to make a reservation online if units will not be kept for the person. The second representative said she had units available at her facility in College Park. This was good news because I needed a unit ASAP. When I arrived to the unit around 7 something I took the green zip tie off and rolled the unit up. I was appalled at the condition of the until, rat trap and debris in front and inside the unit. With no broom or dust pan to sweep because I had no knowledge I would have to clean my unit upon moving my stuff in. Lesson well learned I would have to see my unit during office hours before paying $82.90. I will not be getting a storage unit from Uhaul ever again.Charlene S. | First Impressions
I had an excellent experience with Ms. TALISHA today!! She was very nice & accommodating. I came in looking for a small truck and it was already booked for someone to pick-up @ 11:00, the time that we'd walked in. The only thing that was available was a much larger truck that I didn't need. I asked if she could call the customer to see if they were still coming & she advised unfortunately no, but the system automatically takes the hold off after 30 mins if the customer doesn't show up. So I waited & was able to rent the truck I wanted because they didn't come within that window of time. When I returned, I asked if the customer ever came in for the smaller truck & Talisha said yes, & fortunately the other customer needed a larger truck & it was available fo her! Storage unit lock left on door. Office open late and no one was able to assist. Customer Was contacted and I waa promised a follow up call. I reached out to office and a female rep said would cut off lock. But no follow up to let me know job was done. Everyone was acting as if time is not money and my move was delayed. Would have ranked higher, but I had an issue checking in. The office hours show 7-7, but no one is at the facility after 5pm. You have to go to the other location about ten minutes away from the time of 5-7. This was not clearly communicated and there was no signage that I saw that informed me of this. The call center was too busy and I waited for 15 minutes in the cold trying to figure out how to access the facility. Finally spotted an after hours number, but no one answered the first two times I called. When he did, he informed me about the other location. By the time I reached them, I had maybe 20 minutes to get over there. Then someone had to come and remove the lock from the unit. I kept it at average because the staff was very friendly and the check in was fairly speedy, but that earlier confusion added stress that wasn’t necessary and could have been avoided with better instruction.mary J. | First Impressions

The location I Initially went to was very rude the manager will not let the customer service representative handle her situation the manager kept jumping in the conversation that was not helpful to myself. Once the manager heard that we were on the alert her whole attitude and demeanor towards myself change as if I was a criminal. The customer representative explained that there will be a code that we would need to use to get the key for the truck once the customer clocked out because she was over overtime a new customer service representative that assisted and was ask for the code the manager jumped in yet again telling me that they were no code that I need in that location that I was picking the truck up from us 24 hours and then it will be a representative outside.Once I got to the next location to pick up the truck there was a code that was needed as well even though there was a representative outside she assisted me but it was a code that was needed.NEYNA S.

The team at this location responded after my reservation at another place fell through because no-one was there. When I did not receive the text to retrieve the key from the lock box, someone was there to enter my information manually. What can be done to improve? I reserved a uhaul to pickup at 12:30 pm and when I arrived to pickup my reservation no one was there to open the gate and when I did get through the gate I there was no key in the truck. I contacted corporate and they said they had spoken with Joy the manager and she informed them that someone will be there in 5 mins and no one ever came, I waited for an hour and no one still came. I booked my truck over 2 weeks in advance. I caught the Uber there with my son, only to wait for over an hour and half to be told the one way 20ft truck was not available, and was not working. No one called and told me to go to another location. The truck had just arrived over night, yet my reservation was booked weeks ago. I was in an Uber so I did not have my car and was told to go to another location. I went back home to call around. I finally found Mr. Jackson and Ms. Joy at the College Park location, and they both were great, although I was now 5 hours past my initial move time. I had helpers at my house waiting on me and they were charging by the hour. I lost a lot of money due to U-Haul. I would not rent or recommend again.Nicole H.

I am vey unhappy with the computer service of u haul. On my instruction sheet l was to drop on the truck at 3215 Atlanta Hwy in Montgerary AL. That location has been closed for 5 years. It took me 45 minutes to find another location to drop off the truck from calling the 800 number. I ended up speaking to 5 or 6 people before l got a different address....Andre at the College Park pick up was AWESOME.....l would appreciated it if someone would contact me ASAPJoan B.

There was a discrepancy about the insurance that we purchased for 2 days....We were asked to pay for an additional day as if we kept the truck for an additional day. All quotes were explained and charged when we picked up the truck so it was a little upsetting when we were told that we kept the truck an additional day and had to pay for another day of insurance. Do not go to this location. I bought the truck back after hours and with the same amount of gas i picked it up with. The next morning i get a call saying i had not turned the truck in and what time would i be there. I called back then they said they found the keys and then i get the final receipt charging me an extra 50.00 because they said i did not turn the truck back in with the right about of gas.Lashebre K.

My experience was horrible. They gave me the wrong truck. The counter person was new, he kept asking me the same information over and over. I specifically told him one way rental he put in the computer for local rental. The manager of the location actually call and ask us to return the truck we had the movers loading for another one. She actually expected us to unload it and return. Then upon returning the truck, had I not told the agent what happened she would've had to charge me for a mistake that wasn't my fault. My suggestion for improvement is to provide more training for new employees. Also if a mistake is discovered work it out within the company DO NOT INCONVENIENCE THE CUSTOMER!Paula J.
