I chose this location because it was close to my home and opened at 8:00 AM. I went to Sure Save Food & Beauty on Friday, March 28, 2025, to confirm my reservation and the selected vehicle. Upon checking my reservation online on Saturday evening, March 29, 2025, I discovered my reservation had been moved to U-Haul Moving & Storage of College Park at 4540 Washington Rd, College Park, GA 30337. The new reservation stated my time of pickup was still at 8:00 AM. I was the first to arrive, but I discovered that the location did not open until 9:00 AM. Not only was I inconvenienced by being an hour late for my appointment, but there was no cargo van for me to use. I was late for my appointment, inconvenienced by having to drive further, and no cargo van that was needed to fit the area where we were working.

In addition this location I also paid in cash which I don't see recorded and they're also asking for additional money days after I turned in the truck. This awful experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this location in particular. Scammers on Deck.

ANDREW GI had a great experience overall. However, when I came to move out, I did open my unit to an old rodent.He didn't destroy any of my belongings nor did any relatives of his find their way home with me and I am ecstatic about that. As long as people store food in a unit, rodents will be an issue. They staff was extremely helpful, understanding, and pleasant. I would use this facility again if needed.

Our pickup location was changed 3 times after I talked with a nice guy at the Forrest Hills location and said that a truck would be guaranteed for us on Saturday the 7th. He didnt charge us for the extra miles that he gave us which was so sweet. Canaan is his name and he was a wonderful help and knows customer service. 2 DAYS before picking up our rented truck I got an email saying that the pickup location was changed because they did not have the size truck that we needed 2 TIMES. Everything was fine at pickup but the gentleman helping us smelled like weed and he also seemed like he didn't really have it all together. After 45 mins of getting there to pickup our truck, we were on our way. He didn't seem very competent and he had to call his manager almost every time something came up when he had a question. The communication with customers is very good, however, if customers are going to make reservations that guarantee them a truck on their designated pick up day, it really would help that the locations not be changed to the areas that are not the requested ones. Thanks so much for the help that we did receive but it really was a difficult process.

ROGER FI would not recommend this location. I didn't have my regular debit card on me when I came to rent and had to use my cash app card and so I had to pay $100 deposit. I brought the truck back an hour ahead of time with the fuel level where it was at the time of my pickup. My total charges were $29. I was told that I would receive my $71 back . I used and returned that vehicle days ago and here I'm getting a feedback request before receiving the balance left over from my deposit. I understand the process for returning fines is three to five days, however allow those funds to be returned to the customer first the same way I want your truck first before you come ask me for feedback about my experience. I'm still waiting on my money.

LISA BYou need to fix the customer service situation at 5400 Old National Hwy location. They don't wear any identification or clothing that shows they are employed there. Management is deployable. No regard for customer service at all. Poorly run facility. The whole staff including Management needs to be replaced. If was for the fact that I was able to get the trailer I rented at the Washington rd., location I would be thinking seriously of going to some other carrier for my rental needs. The service stinks and the attitude 😒 of the employees at 5400 Old National Hwy location are extremely bad. No concern for the customers at all. They need to trained in how to work with the public.

Fast forward I was told that the move out had to be done in person I was no longer in the state and not only does it let you do it on the app it lets you do it online!!! Why have it to where you can move out on there but I’m supposed to come inside😐 on top of that they could see the unit was empty when the new lock that wasn’t mine was put on the unit… fast forward again I expressed that to them and ever since then I’ve gotten numerous calls and emails about my unit as well as a FINE for a unit I MOVED OUT OF BEFORE MY MOVE OUT DATE!!!! I’m so disappointed tbh this is the worst experience I’ve had at uhaul I had my things there for 3 years with no problem and this is how I get done!!! I’m not paying a fee for a unit that I moved out properly on my end… if I was supposed to come inside to move out that would have been stated somewhere and it should be taken off the site AND THE APP as an option !! Shìt makes no sense

The unit was not in good shape as the ceiling had two giant wholes and I could see through to the metal roof and the insulation was hanging out! I had to demand another one. The wait time was ridiculous and caused me to have to rent my truck an extra day. To make thing worst, I was given a new unit that I had no time to inspect and I was charged full price so the promotion for first month free is not invalid and I just wish I had chosen a diffent rental company. This is the WORST experience and I would never recommend this storage location or U-Haul to anyone.

In addition, I still have yet to receive an access gate card because the machine wasn’t working correctly and the agent FAILED to remember to bring it to me. In addition, she advised the security gate wouldn’t me working for awhile. I feel as if I should recieve a discount if I’m not fully receiving the services I pay for. Not to mention there were a mouse trap and other contraption in my storage unit. The storage door it weird as it loops over blocking the way. In all honesty I’m quite disappointed and would like a discount. Not to mention I was charged for a lock when online it stated it would be free. I do worry about my belongings considering the facility does not have a properly function gate to provide extra security.

From day one I asked if my door could be fixed and I was told that they would be out in a week to fix it I was there for a whole year and not once did they call to fix it, one day I went to get something out of my unit and they were about to repaint the door instead of replacing had I not shown up that’s exactly what would have happened, I asked again if they could fix the door basically every time I asked them they told me that the door was on back order or the people were coming out in a week. I was not offered any kind of incentives but I was notified about a increase in rent.

The reason for this was due to the manager not returning my calls or responding to emails from U-Haul corporate. So for me two things are at play here 1) these managers do what they want 2) they're hard up for money. So I will never store with Uhaul again because I don't have to give them my money if this is how we do business.

The unit was not convenient for access (it was located between two fences behind the management office. Also when I moved my belongings out of the unit, there is evidence of rodents having contact with it. Photos have been taken of rodent droppings and rodent hair all over my things. I would never recommend this Uhaul storage location to anyone. Furthermore people who rent storage units pay too much to have their things destroyed by rodents and infestations. I am wholeheartedly disappointed with this matter.

They are on personal calls on their cell phones loud with long lines of customers. The units were not well maintained and my items were damaged by mold growing on my furniture. They leave returned equipment trucks and car tows blocking the path to the gate. On my move out date they refused to move a truck so my moving company could get into the facility. This cost me extra because they were on the clock as soon as they arrived. It took over 45 mins for the staff to move a truck so my movers could get to my unit. Based of my experience from move in to move out I will never use Uhaul again. I definitely expected better since I’ve been a customer of Uhaul for many year and have used the services in many different states and locations. Perhaps there should be some re-training exercises in customer service skill or get new staff especially the Baker. She is ruining Uhaul’s reputation. If zero was an option I would rate this location -0. Bye bye Uhaul, never again. FYI : I have pictures and videos to prove everything stated.

Antonio T | Overall ExperienceWhen we got to the storage unit there was a lock on it we were unable to get the lock off after about 35 minutes of calling we had a return call back we were able to get in only to find out the storage unit was not suitable for storing my items the ceiling was falling down but we had no option at that time of night so my items were placed in the unit The very next morning I sent a message to the storage unit and received a call back but was not accommodated in anyway, I am disabled and hiring someone again to move the items out and getting another u haul is difficult, I was told that they did not even have another unit to rent to me I guess this is why they rented me a unit needing serious repairs. The unit should not have been rented it is in very very bad shape, I am very disappointed and sad that my items are sitting in that unit at this time but again it is very difficult for me to rent the truck find a new storage been have the stuff moved again I feel that U-Haul should have been more accommodating knowing that they rented me a unit in need of serious repairs. I am unable to share the photos in this review, but would love to.

Ameer D | Overall ExperienceWhile in general I had no bad experience, before the security gate was installed it was sometimes difficult to access the storage as you would need to get a key from the office to get into the unit. Besides that, as time passed and management changed, the experience improved. The latest management team was very understanding and helpful. Unfortunately, my financial situation was disturbed and I had to surrender my unit. Thank you U-Haul for being there for me even at my worst. It has been a pleasant experience.

And this was on top of the bad day I already had dealing with uhaul over all. Not a happy customer!

The prices are pretty moderate to high, so I don’t expect to bring home pests. I am hopeful that none escaped the boxes while we were unpacking and disappeared. I’m very disappointed in U-haul and will never use them again.
