Our rental contract drop off was changed without any notice and we were forced to drive it back which was extremely costly and time consuming and was an absolutely awful way to move. I couldn't give this a worse ratingCARMENDEACON A.

At a DOT check when the license plate was not legible. The officer ran the plate 2 times guessing what the first letter / number was. Hour and a half later I was released. Could not open the tube containing the Registration.SCOTTCHARLES H.

Great service. We were in and out very quickly. The service tech knew we lived over an hour away from the shop so he actually stopped work on a vehicle that someone had left for the day and did ours in about 25 minutes. Only had the vehicle for a short period of time but I had to clean the inside and outside windshield and sweep the bed of the pick up which was not a problem. These trucks need to be retired. The truck sounded like it would break down at any point, very loud and dirty. I only did an in-town move so it wasn't a big deal, but if this was a long move, it would be difficult.Alizabeth B.

There was a problem with the transmission in my Cargo Van. It was a â€œnewâ€ vehicle (only 90miles) but it stalled repeatedly on the freeway. When I contacted UHaul about ways to safely â€œreturnâ€ the vehicleâ€” I was directed to roadside assistance (which I did not need). I was then charged full price for the rental of a faulty/dangerous vehicle AND $500 for a tow I didn't request. This is unacceptable. UHual gave me a vehicle that was dangerous to driveâ€” and rather than apologize or provide refund I was instead over charged. (My ratings are for this overall experience with UHaulâ€” not the individual operators I spoke with who were all trying to be as helpful as possible).AARONMEIR C.

The truck had over 100,000 miles on it and it showed. While the engine and AC were fine, drivers door had an issue with closing (required slamming), Visor clips were loose, allowing visors to drop down, seats were torn or coming apart.DAVIDMARC P.

My uhaul truck had a broken fan clutch or fan in the engine and I still have not been able to get my belongings moved. This was a major inconvenience and I am very disappointed with the quality of service from roadside assistance. I spent over 9 HOURS on hold on Saturday trying to get a replacement truck or refund to get a truck from elsewhere and uhaul screwed me over. Communication! Wait times are way too long on the phones. Calls get sent to the national call center instead of going to the local store. No way to make a multi-day local rental on the website. No way to extend a reservation on the website.John G.

There were a few things I didn't like. When you call your local Uhaul office number, no one ever answers. You have to drive to the place to talk to someone there. The gate remote I was given was broken and no longer opened the gate. To access my unit after the office closed was not an option because I now needed a code. I eventually got a code and was able to access my unit at my convenience. Whenever I was in the store to rent a truck etc. the staff was always nice and friendly. My only other issue was online payment. For some reason my balance did not show up until the day it was due and after. I paid my first payment late because of that. The store manager was nice enough to waive the late fees and help me. Aside from not wanting to pay $130/month for my unit anymore, my stay was nice enough. I had great experience with the guys at that location but customer service lady named Ashley who was nasty on the phone last Monday i would refer to extra customer loyalty program classes or just give another task to do like housekeeping or cleaning instead. But an attitude in conversation to value customer like me just tells me that she will be poorly skilled in cleaning either. The doors were replaced without our knowledge and the work was very messy. All of our storage was covered with thick dust and debris. You should have called us to put a tarp over the stored goods or put a tarp on yourself.peter n. | Overall Experience
If I were to recommend, it would be to make reservations in person as opposed to online. The access code given to me online was invalid. Fortunately office was open.
