The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
Should let their customers know that they won't be refunded on estimated miles charge. I over estimated my miles figuring I would get refunded what wasn't used instead of being charged additional. It wasn't until I called back asking for my receipt which I never got that the guy told me the over estimated miles don't get refunded. Instead of being about $6 for miles I paid almost $18. Totally disappointed about that!

location tried over charging me for gas and miles. I called back and they realized their "mistake" and fixed it. rent elsewhere.

The workers at this location were not wearing masks. Additionally, while I put in a reservation using the online system, my truck was not available at the appointed time -- I had to leave the location and come back ~15 minutes later. The online system for reserving the truck did not seem to save me much time, as the customer service worker asked for information I had already provided in advance.
The only thing is, it said first month free but I didn’t get first month free.

My items were in good shape and in safe condition at this UHaul however I received poor customer service. I was unfairly penalized for an error that was not my fault and was not provided a refund. I would like for UHaul to be better about communicating the information for setting up a storage unit and to double-check that the information they have entered is correct. This error on the part of UHaul cost me almost $100. I am not a satisfied customer.
The woman working at the location was eating her breakfast and could not be bothered to have someone check the truck in. The lack of professionalism was pretty awful. I have used this location twice in the past and it was excellent. I was disappointed with this experience.

Better understanding what would be considered ‘damage' to the vehicle because the insurance and the statement about paying for damage is a bit intimidating. I imagine the vehicles get small bumps and dings in normal wear and tear and that should be accounted for. It made me super careful but also a bit nervous that I may have missed ‘damage' when I picked it up and would be forced to pay for someone else's damage. It worked out fine but that was something that was uncomfortable for me.
The Uhual folks I interacted were awesome and considerate of my physical limitations. They responded to each of my questions and concerns
I was not asked if I wanted insurance or not. But I was charged for it. Apparently I signed for it but didn't know I was signing it.

Better customer service. I was told “it would look better on your paperwork†if I was there by 5 instead of 7 when I originally requested. I was told I was not allowed to bring it back at 7. Then, after arriving there was told otherwise. Very disappointing. I had 2 hours of moving time stolen from me because your people have terrible customer service skills. I should been reimbursed for the time I lost. My boyfriend ended up hurting himself trying to load the rest of our things into his car.

Excellent service!! I have rented several trailers from the Columbia location over the last few years and every experience was flawless from pick-up to drop off. Front desk always courteous and their trailers have always been clean. Nightly recommended!!
Truck tended to wander a bit. Constant adjustment to stay in lane on a long trip is tiring (6 hours for me). Suggest alignment touch-up next service date.
Pick-up and drop-off using my phone was very easy. The vehicle descriptions are confusing and the diagram of dimension could be more clear. I rented a 15' truck, thinking the internal floor was 15', but it turned out to be only 11'11". The diagram says 12'5" but that is the outside of the box's floor, not the internal storage area.
Online approval process/check-in did not complete. May need some improvements. Otherwise, great service, thanks!
Angelica (Angelique?) provided excellent customer service, both on my phone calls and in person! She was extremely thorough and clear and made sure we had everything we needed for our reservation. When we arrived she had a few other people also needing assistance and she greeted everyone and balanced everyone's needs. While the location seemed busy, she managed everything well. It was clear she cares about her customers and the business. Also, we were there right at closing time and I heard her coworker say he would stay to make sure everything was all set before leaving. This speaks highly of his character as well. This is the kind of staff I would want working for me!
The General Manager was as great to work with, best experience working with UHAUL.... 5 star location with 6 star service, need all locations to run like this one
Get your GM a new computer. He mentioned that it crashes often, including while I was there. Great experience overall.

He was great there was a problem with the computer they had wrong information on the reservation and he took the time to check it and fixed it and he was very friendly and helpful . They need to fix there computer at corporate end

When I arrived there were no employees around. I was the only customer there. I waited several minutes before calling out "hello?" and someone responded "I'm coming" I made a reservation online and included all of the information necessary. But at check in the employee needed to get all of the information again, and said that "if you don't do the whole thing online none of it gets saved" so I'm not sure what the point of a reservation is if that is the case. I've never been told this before and I've rented uhauls several times, always with an online reservation. When she took my license, she also scanned it in with her phone, and did not give any explanation as to why she was doing that with a personal device. In the past I believe a copy of my license has been made, and i have no issue with providing it. I do however don't want my license to be documented on someone's personal device, that seems neither professional no secure for my personal information. Additionally, neither employee that was working that morning was wearing a mask. When I returned the truck in the evening, the employees who were there to take the truck back were much more efficient. They came outside immediately after I arrived, wore their masks, were polite and explained everything as they checked my equipment back in (one of the employees was in training.)
Our contract said we could drop our truck off at the Ashford, CT location. When we got there, we found out it was closed due to COVID-19. UHaul had switched us to drop off the truck in Columbia, CT so we had to drive 15 miles in the opposite direction of home. The website should have updated information so our plans are not being changed at the last minute. We had issues with both our pick-up and drop-off locations and we will never rent from UHaul again.

During drop off of the rental unit there was no one there. I chose a time that the facility was open per there website but no staff were there to assist with the drop off. Would have been nice to know up front
I had to move unexpectedly and quickly. I learned of the storage availability when I picked up the U-Haul truck the night before. It was very convenient, as I didn't have to worry about finding somewhere else to store my belongings. I entered the store on a busy Saturday morning. Shane was very patient and accommodating, and was able to sense that i was in a difficult and sensitive situation. I was there to unload a 20' truck by myself. (My 14 yo son came later to help move things to the 2 storage units i rented). Shane offered water and checked on me periodically, and even helped to move some heavy items. He suggested locks for the units and plastic covers for the mattresses. In a whiwind day that was difficult, the kindness and compassion he showed made a situation that could have been traumatic not nearly as bad.

The staff at this location were kind and helpful. During a very stressful time of life (moving), they make you feel so well taken care of and supported. They are fantastic at advising and willing to go above and beyond. Absolutely loved my time working with them, and the facilities are immaculate.

The doors and locking mechanisms worked well. The rest room facilities were a huge plus. Ground floor unit 1905 had occasional moisture at floor in rear, likely from rain or snow melt in parking lot.

Its really hard to answer the above questions. The storage was ok. No elevator bugs got into my daughters belongings. Understaffed computer system is always down. Staff could care less.
I was very dissapointed and disgusted when i went to go move my things out of my storage #1412 to find out i had cockaroaches in my things. I def did not move in with them. Will not reccomend uhaul!
