When I picked up my 10 foot box truck, the fuel gauge showed 1/8 tank. I took a picture for proof. When I dropped off the truck, I was charged for fuel even though the fuel gauge showed the same 1/8 as when I started. The lady told me she could not help me.anthony H.

If this had been the first time I had rented a U Haul truck, the customer service and orientation would have made me nervous. Staff needs to ask each customer how much past experience the customer has had and if they need explanations of anything. I may be slow of mind, but I had to call the rental location twice shortly after I left, to discuss things that should have been discussed at the rental desk. (Drop off procedure was not at all mentioned at the rental desk.)Eric M.

It was the first time I ordered online and it was a little different procedure no one walked around the vehicle with me upon picking it up. I had dropped it off one minute before the store closed dropped my keys off in the kid bin I only had it for 45 minutes and I was not there about three hours so I got a text it was too late for me to get in there and check the mileage and everything online And I taken pictures before I got out of the U-Haul but I couldn't put those on the website it went back there at 10 PM to try to do everything at said that I was worried I was getting charged extra $20 and up going back to the site in the morning and everything got cleared up The clerk was nice and helpful she checked me out and checked me in.cheryl M.

We've used the rentals here periodically with usually pretty good and consistent service. Most recently when we hooked up the trailer the lights were not functioning. I must commend the associate that helped me. I didn't get a name, but he was a younger Asian gentleman. He assisted in troubleshooting our issue, all the while politely answering inquiries to passerbyers that asked questions-without making us feel like he dropped our issue. The troubleshooting took a good 10-15 minutes but he was gracious and wasn't going to rest until we found resolution! Which we did! We found a blown fuse that he facilitated changing with a spare our vehicle had, put everything neatly back together and on our way. I'm certain other locations we've used in the past would have shrugged it off. It was tremendously helpful and appreciated that we could continue on our extensive plans. Thanks for the great service. I only wish I knew the gentleman's name because he deserves the recognition!Darren T.

It all went well. Reserved the big, 6x12 trailer with ramp on-line. The check-out took only a few minutes and a young man hooked it up to the truck. When I couldn't finish the job by the end of the day, they extended the reservation one more day. When I couldn't get back by 5pm they were kind enough to extend the time by 2 hours. The trailer was old and rusty. The mechanism to close the door was particularly rusty and the door was extremely noisy-it needs to be lubricated. Equipment for a cross country trip should be in better condition.Joanne D.

Called to cancel my unit last month after you screwed me over on a truck rental. And I had to pay an extra 40 miles of mileage because you could not honor my reservation for a truck I had made 3 weeks prior and sent me 20 miles away to pick up and drop off a truck. After I cleared my unit out, and canceled last month. I get an email this month telling me I haven’t paid my rent. We were given poor instructions on how to get in and deactivate our unit and then it was locked when we got there even tho I specifically told her to make sure it was unlocked and she said she would.CARRIE S. | First Impressions
I was not in favor nor against this location until I went to close out my unit. I even called the morning of to say I would be there after work and was told they would be there and would be ready to help anyway they could if need be. I arrived and started to drive to the entry doors and was surprised when I almost was stuck in hot tar that was being laid (no markers or anything blocking entry). I needed to close that day so I carefully made my way to the doors (no one stopped me nor came out to even speak to me although there were multiple employees inside) and once inside realized there was no other door out and now almost the whole parking lot was covered and I was stuck. I finally got someone to come “guide” me back with my TV and Christmas tree on a cart pushing through gravel and grass. A little oops that should have been locked and blocked off but no real apology. I had been at work for almost 10 hours, had over a 45 minute drive gone and now smelled hot tar on my car. Not a great ending and won’t be going back.Jennifer S. | Overall Experience

This was my fault, but I didn't read the terms and agreement completely so I was unaware of disarming my unit before opening it..lol, very loud. I thing it would be much better and helpful if it was located in a more convenient spot, honestly, who really reads all of the terms and agreement. Uhaul refused previous attempts to pay balance owed and lied several times saying my unit was set for auction and nothing they could do. Then I begin getting calls again several months later again requesting payment with a new auction date again unwilling to accept payments it was all or nothing. Then again months later I begin getting calls again and a voice-mail stating that they just wanted me to come pickup my things and vacate the unit. I called them back and suddenly they were insistent on full payment otherwise again another new auction date. I told them i didn't have $1600+ and they asked me what I could afford and I told them I could do $200 per week but they refused that as well.They called back again stating $400 and i could have my things with about 4 days before yet another auction date which i couldn't afford unless they had given me the couple of weeks needed to raise it. I stopped taking them seriously and began feeling they were deceitful and crooked because of these practices and now I have lost the one thing I ever got from my father unfortunately after his death which was a shotgun among several other sentimental items from my recent divorce along with irreplaceable things from my 5 year old son that I will never see again all of which I imagine will be tossed out in the trash or sold off for pennies when it was priceless to me.Jason B. | Overall Experience

I apologize but i do not recall the female staff member working (tirelessly) daily in the storage area but I need to single her out. She was very polite, professional and extremely helpful. When I commended her she would simply reply that customer service is a given and anything less than exceptional is substandard.
