The facilty and truck were excellent. However, my rental had to be redirected to that facilty because my original pick-up location did not have the truck or any other vehicle availabe, even though I had reserved it online. This ended up costing me additional mileage fees and wasted 1 1/2 hours of time

Anthony A.The staff was not educated on mobile pick-up. While on site, I was directed to call the 1-800 U-Haul number to get the information I needed to create a mobile pick-up reservation. When I pick-up the vehicle, the change oil light & washer fluid light were on and constantly sending reminders while driving. The vehicle clearly had not been cleaned. Additionally, the huge rubber panel/bumper from the right side of the vehicle was missing. This seemed very unsafe. All said, it was 6:30 a.m. and we had to move our belongings out. If it weren't for that, I would not have accepted the vehicle. It seems like U-Haul should have policies in place that vehicles should not be rented to customers with services lights on or missing exterior safety guards. Super disappointed.

Service at the pick up location was great and we accomplished what we were looking for so in those terms it was all great!

Joseph H.Only 1 person working at the desk. We arrived 25 minutes before our rental time and waited in a long line for over an hour to get the keys to the truck. Then outside we had to wait in the pick up area to get the truck as there was only one person. How can this be when it is moving season? Unacceptable service. Basically it stole an hour and a half off my rental.
Kelli P.When picking up van only one person was at the counter so I was waiting for 20 minutes before someone else came out to help with the line. When getting the truck there was no one there to get the keys from me so I was just standing in hot sun without knowing who to ask. When I returned the truck the guy said I had to go put gas in the tank or else I'd be charged $40 for gas and $30 for service which is absurd for only a fourth tank of gas! That's fucking stupid. And when I went to get gas and came back the wait was so long and i refused to stand in the hot sun so I had the AC in the car on waiting and the guy said that it's just below 1/4 but he'll “let me slideâ€. If someone was there when I pulled up the tank would have still been at 1/4 of a tank but the wait for service was TERRIBLE AND LONG so yes some gas was released during my wait for service. They need more organization with service.

I had a reservation and still had to wait for the 5 people to be assisted before me by the ONE cashier. After I was given my keys I was told “to hand them to any of the guys out there†so I proceeded to do so, as I handed it to the first guy I see he tells me “he's too busy so to find someone else†(mind you he was too busy just standing there). The Spanish employee was very nice and very helpful, he is the only one.

LEE G.I arrived just prior to my pickup time (9:30am). There were 20 people in line waiting to pick up their vehicles and only one attendant. It took almost 2 hours to get my truck and that is unacceptable. The equipment was great and clean, but the wait is ridiculous.
Eduardo M.They gave us a damage truck which caused us to be stranded on I-95. The whelk was crooked. While driving, the cabin was heating up under our feet which made us very concern, and the steering wheel was very loose. When we reported to u-haul roadside assistance, it took them 11 hour to get us a tow truck. the nightmare continued for a second day with us waiting for another full day for a replacement truck. This is unacceptable.

I had a reservation for yesterday Saturday and when I got to pick up there was no truck available, they changed the reservation for today Sunday and when I arrived they also had no available, after almost 1 hour they offered me a Van that was booked and I imagine that the person who booked it has the same problem. The slogan that we guarantee the reservation or give you $50 is not true.

Also Corporate is always overbooking… like the airlines. I needed and requested a pickup 2 days before and when I get there they have me in a cargo van!! Really, come on so why reg on line ?? When I did, he literally gave me a guilt trip about how I was taking someone else's truck, and that I hope that I was happy hurting another family on their moving day.
Keli H.The office is always short staffed, took almost an hour to get to the counter. The truck was fine, but the trailer didn't work well, like it could be given some maintenance or replaced?? Also, they won't rent me the truck with a tow ball??? I never had to before? I had to spend extra on that. Lastly, the U-Haul/share.com was completely useless last night, and this wasn't my phone signal but the website not working properly. It wouldn't let me drag the gasoline icon. I tried so many times, I just had to gave up and leave. This seem to be very convenient to U-Haul, since they charge $20 extra if not done by the customer. Times are rough, but this type of price gouging is very disrespectful to repeated customers like myself. Very unsatisfied.

Edward M.The communication for the initial ubox dropoff and pickup was very proactive. But the communication when the ubox arrived at the destination city did not happen. We had to call/chat into support to find the location of our ubox and when it arrived. We were expecting a call when it arrived. The website timeline interface was confusing on where the ubox was and what amount was owed and when. Additionally, some charges seemed to have happened automatically vs others required proactive interaction from us. My assumption was that my card would be automatically charged each step of the way without requiring manual intervention from me.

There was only one person working behind the counter and they were involved in a long complicated rental of a car trailer. But the fact that there was only one person working meant that all of us had to wait a very long time. I seriously considered going somewhere else. I think the one person working did a very good job. Calm, polite and efficient. But for the number of customers in line there should have been three people behind the counter, not just one. I’ve called and called customer service and the store with no call back.

Rini V. | Online Move InI pay for a truck on Sunday May 8 2021 to take out my things from two storages that I had and two guys got stuck on the elevator been there for an hour without any help until we realize nobody was helping them and went to call a worker and he said that he was going to call another coworker to come but the guys were in desperte need of air and water since the emergency bottom was not working becouse no one but one went to see them since we were there taking our stuff from the first floor so they call the fire rescue who were the only ones to come and Open the elevator. No one of the staff did anything to try to help the guys on the elevator or fix the elevator after it was open. Because of that we could not take our stuff from the 4th floor when we already had the truck paid. I need someone to tell me how to proceed on this since it’s not fair that I have to pay other truck to take my things from the 4th floor. When I ask the lady at the front desk if uhual could provide me with at least a van so I could take my stuff another day when the elevator it’s fixed her answer was I could use the stairs which I find nonsensical. How she can pretend I will go 4 floors up and down with furniture and stuff ?.
