I returned the truck with more gasoline than when I started. Yet the young man who checked in the truck upon return wanted to charge $6 for fuel. He rechecked the fuel level after I corrected him. Suggestion: Rearview camera. Although I did not use it, the 120 volt receptacle is a nice feature.

U-Haul needs better inventory management. I ordered a TV cover online to pick up at a location, but when I arrived I was told that they do not carry that item. I had to cancel the order and drive to a different location to buy the item. After picking up the trailer that I rented, I selected a location to drop it off, but when I arrived I was told that they no longer had space to accept more trailers. I had to drive to a different location and see if they had space available to accept the trailer I rented. It would be great to receive an email or text with this information so that I do not waste time driving to different locations to get things done.

Hi, I only would like to say the customer service you provided at the pick up was terrible. First, when I came to the front office the guy told me my reservation was cancelled. I showed him the email saying that my order was confirmed, but he kept telling me “It doesn’t matter because now it’s cancelled”. When I asked for explanations, he repeated again it is cancelled and that there are no explanation for this. I was supposed to rent a 10’ van, but it was not available, so I rented a 9’ cargo van. He printed out the contract without asking me when I wanted to return, which anyway was in my original reservation that he could have checked. He handled me the contract and told me “you have to return it by 5pm”. I told him I needed it for more time and he answered me “you told me by 5pm”. I never said that, it was a lie, I knew it, he knew it. The whole time he was really arrogant and again the whole customer experience was horrible, which makes me sad because I used U-Haul lots of time and you guys are normally great. I want to specify on the other hand that the return operation was excellent, the guy was great, very helpful and fast. The front office guy should learn from him.

Verify with customer about fuel level before charging them a fuel surcharge. I returned the pickup truck using the share app taking pictures of dash verifying mileage and fuel level when vehicle was returned and I was still charged a fuel charge saying I returned vehicle without the proper level. I was never called or notified, I found out when I looked at my final bill.

Had an almost 50 minute wait for someone to attend me. Long line inside the store and only 2 staff attending. Should be more expedite the process of renting. Delivery was a breeze, only 3 minutes.

Hello, I select this location because its closer to my work place and the majority of the time I rent a truck is for My work use. This time the experience was bad due to the fact that from the beginning the service was poor. I had made a reservation the day before to save some time and when I get there I said hello to the person behind the counter and I informed him about my reservation and I asked him if I still needed to make the line, his response was" it has always being the rule" I waited in line and after around 30 minutes after when it was my turn I explained to him about the reservation and asked me again for all my information: DL, CC and made me select everything again like if making the reservation, keying all the information the day before on line was a waste of time because I had to do it all over again. I did not say anything and just did what I was asked to do. the biggest problem was that when I was driving the truck the air conditioning did not work, I could not return to the rental center because I had already lost over 40 minutes waiting to get the truck. I think equipment should be check in detail all the time 100% of the time. It was frustrating not to have air conditioning on a rental which cost me over $100.00 Hopefully the next time I rent a truck operates correct 100%. Thank you

Express check out ? I still waited 20 mins in line . Then about 5-10 on waiting for the truck . Then when returning the young man was in his phone and I guess thenother person asked him his shoe size and he was checking it. Shushed me , and the proceed to chat on his phone while my check out . Waste of time.

They told me it was easy to log in and return the trailer after hour. It was impossible, I tried, my wife tried, a friend tried for hours. We call by phone without results in order to avoid to pay another day $15. I call today and they say we charge one day, so it was fine. But we I see the charges they charge me another $20 as a late fee and nobody explain that to me. That is not honest. In Dadeland location Miami is not the first time I have problems, last time I reserve a motorcycle trailer and ended up with a cart, not a motorcycle trailer. Also when you call they transfer to another person and then to another person, etc. It take for ever. Why they didn't tell about the late fee. So I pay $15 for the trailer and $20 for the late fee? That is not fair, I want my money back. Thanks.

Have clear precise instructions on what to do after keys are given to customer. I was told to go outside and they will bring truck over. I ended up waiting 10 minutes in the rain because no one asked me for the key to get the uhaul truck. I had to go back and ask what's taking so long. The employees then called on radio we have a customer waiting for pickup. Not acceptable for lack of communication and instructions. Need a dedicated waiting area for pickup with signage and instructions.

This was our first time renting a uhaul, being first time visitors to the United States. The process seemed to have ran smoothly and everything was fine with vehicle up until we came back to return the vehicle at around 730pm and the location was closed! In no way was this explained to us at any point that the location closes and then self return using your website would be what we had to do. All good and well for locals but being visitors, which your staff knew as we gave our local numbers and explained they wont get on to us that way as our phones are not activated in the US i.e. no service or data and we gave a local number of our uncle in the Las Vegas. In light of that you can see how self return using your site will be very difficult. We had to walk across the road to the big cheese to connect to their wifi in pouring rain mind you!!!!back and forth maybe about 10 times completing your checkout service taking the various pics etc. --the process was a nightmare!! Took us an hour --To connect back to their wifi go to the vehicle take pics in the POURING rain. Then the site timing out a couple times due to connectivity issues. Absolute nightmare! Yes this is a great service but maybe wifi on the compound should be available or at least tell us upfront the procedure as we did not expect the place to be closed. We could not keep it overnight and return during opening hours as we were staying in a condo which we also told attendant when discussing height clearance. Really am so disappointed !!!

the insurance does not cover the roof of the van. it charged me a lot for a little scratch, and before I rent the van, they did not show me the status on the roof, so i do not know if I made that or someone before me.

I was given a truck with 1/8 of gas during Florida hurricane state of emergency. Could not find any fuel and returned truck within an hour. Was charged for miles and fuel.

I overcharged $21.40 when I returned the unit, causing an overdraft fee is $34.00 at my bank. When I vigorous complained they gave me a full refund (witch my bank won’t see for a few days and recharged me again for the rental ( witch is inmidiatly) deducted from my bank causing another $34.00 overdraft fee to me. And they tell me that’s their procedure!!

Cannot beat a FREE month! Everyone there was friendly and helpful. We got our stuff out within the month and our charge we $0!

I rented a cargo van to move things from my studio apartment to a storage unit I also rented there, and then a 10' van to move my stuff out of the storage unit to my new apartment a few weeks later. Only issue I had was when returning the 10' van there was only one person behind the counter and the queue was very long (30+ min). Besides that, no issues. The employees were pleasant and helpful at all times (although the man who checked my 10' van back in was a bit crass in his language). Cost me significantly less than it would have done to hire a moving company even once. Would definitely recommend this location.

When a customer shares With the staff the Reason they are moving... like myself! Losing our home to a Foreclosure auction With a 24 hour evection. To say the least all the things that could possibly go wrong to find a place to live to rent with pets in such short notice it’s literally impossible . However I did it! All of this because I got cancer And the medical bills ate me up and I couldn’t afford my home after 17 years!!! Though it’s really no one’s business and I don’t Need Anyone to feel sorry for me. Some kind of notation should be on the order. So when calling the customer the customer doesn’t feel like they’re being treated As if they were going to stay with the truck or keep the truck. I understand that every situation is different And no one needs to share their business with anyone. When someone does then it should be noticed and noted! I hate it every couple of days when someone called and literally made me feel like Sh?? Except for the Scheduling girl in the evening That always answered and listen in a very pleasant and understanding voice seemed Surreal. I think you pleasant one. “Scheduling girl evenings” Blessings to you!

Absolutely terrible pickup experience. The computer system was down for about an hour. I then had to wait almost another hour to finally get the truck. When I get the truck, it has a check engine light. Had to wait for another half-hour to get another truck. All the time the movers I had hired are on the clock and waiting for me to arrive with the truck. I ended up having to pay an extra 2 hours for movers service. I called UHaul to complain and they said a manager would get back to me regarding the issue. I have not heard from anyone. I'll never rent uHaul again. Case #2328369 Contract # 25960921

I notified the staff on 8/15 that I was moving out. They logged me out on 8/31 and auto pay still charged me on 9/1. I left a complaint with customer service still have not received my money back.
