This has been the most stressful and horrible moving experience. Not only was I charged incorrectly on my debit card on my birthday. After 5 hours on the phone the person who charged me incorrectly fessed up and credit was issued. I then had to wait a week for a refund but this week I was charged INCORRECTLY AGAIN for a rental that was not mine. I unloaded and turned in my unit the same day bht was charged for rental storage. I've had to call back so many times to the poor woman in the U-Haul south Miami office for refunds and status that she knows my full name by now. I will NEVER recommend U-Haul to anyone I know. I used the online rent tools yet when I showed up I still had to -verify payment twice -decline insurance again -was asked for 2nd contact . -other took over 20 minutes if not 30 maybe 40 before I actually left with the trailer. . Counter help was great but yard help absolutely terrible. They had customer waiting as he was blowing leaves . The equipment that was checked out (car donkey)car ramp extension was broken as it wouldn't lock . unfortunately we didn't learn until we were returning from our round trip with an empty car. Almost caused us to crash. We had to pull over in the middle of the highway, luckily we had bungee cord to hold the ramp up for our return trip. I was disappointed when I got the truck and when I was almost to the location to pick up the stuff to move, I realized I had no guess. The papers said the truck had 1/4 but it was actually almost empty. Since I had to drive a lot, I put full tank. I returned it with 3/4. You guys should start thinking to facilitate the customer's life and give the truck to customers with full tank, expecting a full tank on the return. Very annoying this situationJUAN A.

The experience was awful starting with the fact that one cannot call to the local store directly. Long slow line, then the ridiculous requirement to contact a second person on the phone, then associate lost internet causing additional delays. Eventually made it out the door but mechanic realized I had been sold the wrong hitch attachment, went back in but associate was gone on break. Mechanic got right part and I paid again, then before leaving had to wait for mechanic to type in trailer on hand held gizmo, but he took a minute because hard to see screen under sunlight! The person who I got my unit from gave me the wrong number unit, so when I unloaded my car and brought everything up to what I thought was my unit, it was apparently not my unit. I had to unload everything back into my vehicle, go into the store and wait in line to get my correct storage unit, go back and load everything again and bring my stuff up. The only issue we had this time versus other times was that when we registered online we could not automatically get the First month free promotional. In the past every time we got the first month free when we checked in at the office. However, the management has informed us that they will adjust the payment in the following month. I pay for a truck on Sunday May 8 2021 to take out my things from two storages that I had and two guys got stuck on the elevator been there for an hour without any help until we realize nobody was helping them and went to call a worker and he said that he was going to call another coworker to come but the guys were in desperte need of air and water since the emergency bottom was not working becouse no one but one went to see them since we were there taking our stuff from the first floor so they call the fire rescue who were the only ones to come and Open the elevator. No one of the staff did anything to try to help the guys on the elevator or fix the elevator after it was open. Because of that we could not take our stuff from the 4th floor when we already had the truck paid. I need someone to tell me how to proceed on this since it’s not fair that I have to pay other truck to take my things from the 4th floor. When I ask the lady at the front desk if uhual could provide me with at least a van so I could take my stuff another day when the elevator it’s fixed her answer was I could use the stairs which I find nonsensical. The person receiving trailer had zero customer service attitude. In addition, I returned trailer within 24 hours of renting it during business hours and trailer was not marked as received. As a result I am being charged extra. I am disputing charges, but totally unacceptable! I am expecting call back from U-Haul. Return staff was unaccommodating. There were a few leaves in the back that fell from an oak tree that I was loading boxes under next to my garage. Tenant stated that I would be charged a â€œcleaning feeâ€ of $25.00 if I returned it in that â€œconditionâ€. Drove across the street to the gas station, borrowed a broom from the attendant and brought it back without the leaves. Never again. When moving in I was not given a lock or key and told they would open the unit when I returned. When attempting to move out I was told that I should’ve received one and a lock.
