This location had no one present at the pick appointment. After several phone calls. I got ahold of the person that should have been there. However he told me I had to do my pick up via the app. I set up my app for purchase and he called me back and told me I cant and to wait till his wife to showed up to handle my rental. She arrived 20 minutes later and had no clue what she was doing. I was at the point in check in where I put in my credit card info and she told me not to do it and took my card information herself and typed it into her computer. (Not sure why I wasnt allowed to just finish my check in since she took so long. She Inspected nothing with me did not check vehicle, milage, gas amount or anything. I am not even sure if she got any of it right or if I paid too much. She did not inspect the dolly with me I connected it my self. There was no light check be it I think she was gone by the time I got it all connected so I just prayed the were working till I got to my residence and had my son validate that they worked for me.

My initial appointment was at the Salem location. Upon arrival I was not greeted. When I declared that I have a 445pm appointment for hitch install...."i dont have time for that" was the response i was given. Then immediately told to "find another location that does". With no offer to help find another location. With that treatment I refuse to ever use uhaul again for ANY service or rentals. I will gladly pay more money to a competitor if need be.

If any issue should ever arise, they are professionally addressed and resolved to everyone's satisfaction. when first talking to the rep. on the phone, she was not knowledgeable on the products available she advised us on a truck that was too small. The storage unit she said would store the size of a one bedroom apartment was the size of a small coat closet! a queen size mattress could not fit inside. (disaster) When I got to the storage unit Tim showed me a deceitful display of what the unit size would be, but in reality it was half the size. I purchased two of them hoping it would be a fit, but it was not I got two small coat closets.

They were not problem with the location, but the only things had ..lost the key and when I called in they told that I will pay $100 to make an other copy, but later on they send one to do it for me and I was over charge I paid $200. That wasn't fair seems like some going on with people whom you working with to help the customer. I did like the way they laid to me. If they're some you can do about it. Plz Let me know.

I was forced to pick up my truck at a different location. The online check in didn't work. The air conditioner didn't work. I Only drove 33 miles. I put in 2 gallons of gas before returning and I was charged $30 for fuel. Never again. I knew I should of stayed with Enterprise.

Emily was very helpful inside the store. The mobile app was very difficult to use. It makes it hard to return or pick up equipment with the store closing at 8 and the mobile app being a headache.

Ck in and out at counter service OK but two phone number policy coupled with "no tickey no washy attitude" is less than customer focused, Upon return of equipment while backing trailer into spot there was permitted a consumer auto in area and site personnel ignored the return unit and refused to offer spot check and guidance. The situation was such that manipulation of unit into spot required extreme reverse turn cut. Although there was store personnel right in area who approached to connect new outbound customer, unit right next to vacant spot for the return unit, their focus ignored the return and revealed an impatient mentality in favor of focus driven toward outbound unit. As such, the blind spot backing caused inbound customer to submit to second class consumer although inbound customer was there first and was backing in before inbound customer and site personnel arrived on location area. This situation could have been easily resolved by assisting inbound customer while backing by spotting and directing instead of playing the dead beat worker role concentrating on his inbound customer and just ignoring inbound customer, standing around without spotting, directing although there could be no progress with the outbound customer until inbound unit was either staged or inconvenienced. For safety the inbound customer was forced to become inconvenience due to the site personnel's lack of consumer focus.

The call center scheduled me for a time when the place wasn't even open so I had to wait. They had a bunch of call offs and were short staffed when they eventually did open. When I dropped the truck off I had exactly the same amount of fuel I started with but was still charged an additional $10.

When you are serving the community as well as you are, I honestly cannot see anyway in which you might improve. U-Haul at this facility has excellent, capable, and courteous staff. I use them frequently, and they have never failed to assist me in meeting my responsibilities through their service. If I am to make a suggestion at all, sometimes employers surprise their staff with an unexpected bonus. Just a small thank you for saying, "Well done." I am an acquaintance of one of your regional directors. He is paid well. Let a little of it trickle down. Your self service returns app needs work. When logged in, the app had no record of my order, nor could it find it when I looked it up. Using the website on my browsers (I tried Chrome, Brave and Firefox on Android) I couldn't get past the stage where I needed to take photos of the cab. It always asked for a "more recent" photo, though I was attempting to submit them right after I took the picture. Additionally: including a zip-tied dolly and bag of sheets in the hopes that I'll cut the ties and incur a fee is pretty scummy. Why not ask before taking up valuable truck space with something I don't want?

Emily was very helpful at the Dayton location. Jeremy was great with the 1-800 line. We were given a confirmation number by Ashley confirming we had a big U-Haul truck to pick up at 8am Saturday morning. We were leaving the house and Jeremy called stating they did not have a truck for us. So he looked all over and found one in Dayton and gave us a discount on the mileage. That was great customer service. Sure we had to drive an hour back out of our way. But that was ok. I had my hubby take me to dinner ??! Thanks u-haul. From Mr and Mrs Greg Brown.

I reserved online for the 24/7 pick up at 9 am. Received an email saying I could pick it up as early as 8 am. I arrived shortly after 8 and when I tried to access it, I had a message saying the equipment had not been released yet and gave me a phone number to call. I called and left a message and he got back to me via text immediately. I let him know which location and he told me he would have someone there to help. I stated I lived around the corner and would be back at 845. When I arrived, lights were out and still no one there and no way to get the truck through the 24/7 app. I texted and he said to go up to the door and I did, still no one was there. At 9, when they opened, I was first in line and let them know what was going on. He stated that they were checking in trucks and looking for me. No, they were not or they would have seen me and my wife come to the door once and then me another time and then again to wait, all while my car was sitting there from 845 on. If they were looking, it was obvious where I was and that I was waiting. On top of that, it was obvious that they just didn't care that I was waiting and not one time did they apologize for the inconvenience. Just an overall bad experience. Will not use this location again.

Bad service and charged me more than what I used they give me car with gas gage between 1/2 and I used the car for only 14 miles they charged me for 3 gallons and that not believable 14 mileages used 3 gallons. Anyway i will not recommend anyone for this location and that old lady also has bad behavior with customer. She do her work like someone forced her to do it

I think y'all did well it's just I couldn't carry my medication with me all around you know what I'm saying because I am on a very strong pain killer and I could not carry it with me okay that's why I was in a lot of pain and it was at a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 and believe me we pack that sucker Jam pack the only thing you'll see when you open that door is a couch and a dolly I kid you not that is a lot of heavy packing right there what we did and I'm very proud of everybody that helped even though we're living in our car now then have a place to go to but that's okay I contacted someone in the past name Courtney and she work I said cork not corkk not cork get it right get it rightsaid Corp not and and she will be contacting me tomorrow looking at a place outside of Dayton I am will be looking at a farm and they have a free grant for me for 10% down and that includes the closing cost and the rest I will pay with my SSA - 445 form payee services and I will be able to discharge at debt through my trust fund they call it a at state fund others call it a strawman account and the trustees which is Social Security Administration will make sure that people will get the money for me further discharging that debt and we will be on our way to buying a farm without taking any money out of our bank accounts August user estate funds very interesting isn't it not bad for a person that completed do universities and a college all before the age of 22 not bad huh elder care and God bless and the truck I was very impressed with it it was very efficient sounded and yes I did hear that Turbo all

Could start out not sending your employees over to the customers home and take the rental before I was ready to return it needed it for 1 more day I will know to go to Ryder or Enterprise to get me a truck next month to help move my mom... The lady that helped me when i first picked up my trailer was awsome! On the other hand when i dropped it off the guy that checked it in acted like there was some huge issue because one of the trailer bulbs was out, and had to go "speak to his supervisor" about it, like i had done something wrong. I had just spent the whole night on the road towing my daughters car back from Tennessee, and i didnt need that added stress/anxiety. We had hit some rough roads and im sure thats what knocked the bulb out. I know it doesnt seem like a big issue, but i dont think that the need to talk to a supervisor about a bad bulb is a very good reason to keep a customer waiting even longer, when all they want to do is get back home.

The representative that I checked out with at this U-haul location would be a great benefit to other U-haul representatives; as an example he should teach classes to show other workers how customer service should be done. After getting the run around from the U-haul at the Salem Avenue (Dayton,Ohio) location. I was sent 15 minutes into the heart of Downtown to this U-haul location. The gentleman listened to my concerns about the experiences I had a previous location, he apologized for the inconvenience, was very kind and patient with me as I was on the phone with U-haul customer service, he looked for a smaller truck that I could rent, and tried other locations that may have offered the desired vehicle size I requested. He definitely went above and beyond! Which is more than I can say for the previous location and dealer.

I was treated poorly throughout the entire experience. when I arrived to pick up the truck there were no employees in the store area, I had to search and find them in a restricted area. they were more interested in their personal cell phones than taking care of me as a customer. once I got the truck the fuel was wrong. it was showing just under a half tank and the paper work was showing almost 3/4 tank, I alerted the employee Cody about this and he was on his cell phone and told Keagan to check it. Keagan looked at the fuel and said it was at a half tank. I told him it was not, that it was just below. he said he was putting it at half a tank on my paperwork. I took the truck and completed my use, traveling 11 miles. once finished I stopped and put a gallon of gas in it bringing it to the exact mark it was on when I picked it up. when I returned the truck again there was no one out to help me I had to search again for them. I entered into the garage/shop area and no one was around I did see both employees in the front area, I tapped on the door and they looked at me and just sat there. so I opened the door and told them that I was returning the equipment. Keagan rudely said "ok" and walked out to the unit. he did his check and then told me he was charging me 6.00 for fuel, I told him that I put fuel in it and the gauge was in the exact location it was in when I took it. he was very rude and very unprofessional. I said furthermore I only went 11 miles how can he justify charging me for a gallon and a half ? I asked if the truck only got 7 miles per gallon? he stated that's what it looks like! very rudely and snarky, I reiterated that this was wrong and he went on to tell me that he was charging me and didn't care what I had to say, that uhaul is a multimillion dollar company and they don't need to rob people. I said well that's what you are doing. I asked if this is how he does everyone and he just smirked and told me that's what I am paying. I told him his customer service skills were horrible, he popped off and said "no my skills are great" and laughed in my face. I asked him who his supervisor was and he told me to call in at 7:30 and find out for myself. I told him I would and maybe he should put his resume out because he probably wouldn't be working there long with his attitude and poor customer service. he told me that his customer service was perfect and he didn't have to worry about the "likes of me reporting him". in closing I don't see myself using that location again, and I would be reluctant to use Uhaul in the future because of this treatment, I would expect a full refund, and something to be done about the employees at the 3rd street location in Dayton, Ohio. probably one of the worst experiences I've had at any business in my 52 years.

Improve? Perhaps when you do a wiring harness installation, don't do such a poor job that it melts, shorts, and causes electrical problems for the vehicle. Perhaps using a plug-and-play connector instead of literally splicing into the light assembly wiring.

The vehicles head lamps were not working. I got pulled over by a highway patrol officer for not having head lights, but got off with a warning because it was not my fault or not my vehicle.

Freight elevator malfunctioned twice while we were trying to unload. Cancelled contract immediately, but have been billed twice. Staff was helpful in trying to resolve the issue.

I do NOT recommend this storage facility. The facility is not maintained well, constantly losing payment checks mailed to them and new staff every 6 months.

The timing of the offer to rent was perfect for me. I wounded my hand and required surgery a week after my arrival so having taken the offer provided me the time to move my items at a slower pace.
