I would/will NEVER use again or suggest to anyone to use U-Haul at all, as a company. My reservations have been entirely messed up; from not getting what I reserved, all the way to my reservation getting wrongly cancelled all together, which of course led to me, again, not getting the products I needed, when I needed them. Horribly ran business model with not much skill in the realm of “customer service” either. Nobody with this company has offered me anything to compensate for the numerous errors that were made on their thank part. And somehow my cost was the same even though I was forced to get a much smaller truck than I originally reserved. Just awful.

I had to drive 15 miles out of my way to use a location that was very inconvenient to pick up a trailer that should have been moved by u-haul. And then had to drive back to that location to drop it off. If I wanted to use that location I would have driven there in the first place. I then had to wait while three of your employees stood by BSing with one another. This was my last u-haul experience I bought a trailer and if I need a truck I'll use your competitor.

This was the worst experience you could have. The day before I was to pickup the 26' one-way I was told the truck would have to be picked up in Carson city and the car trailer would have to be picked up in Reno. I explained to the dispatcher that I was flying into Reno and would be taken a cab to the reno location and that's why I reserved the equipment weeks in advance. When I asked to talk the a manager or corporate rep she asked me to hold. She came back and said the truck and trailer would be at the Reno location as scheduled on the 10/10/19 at 4:30pm. I arrived at the location right at 4:30 and the wrote the contract up for the trailer then went to do the truck and it the truck wouldn't go through, She called another lady over and she was a little rude snot. She said rudely...sir your in the wrong location the truck is in Carson City. I explained the above phone conversation and she called the area dispatch. They claimed that I never call when they sent a text that they had trouble with the reservation and the reservation was locked in at Carson City. Then not even 10 minutes went by I reserved another text saying they were having problems with my rental and to please call. So I called and low and behold the truck that was locked in for me in Carson City wasn't available ether. I was less then pleased and let the dissipater know my concerns. She finely got a manager on the phone and she said that they would have a truck the next day in Carson City sometime in the afternoon. I told her that wouldn't work. So she said the best she could do was to give me a 20' truck but it was in South Reno. So with no other choices I cabbed over to that location and to my surprise there were four 26' one-ways sitting there. I asked the counter guy if they were reserved and her said 2 were for Friday and the other 2 were for Saturday. So there were 4 units sitting that I could of taken and they could of arranged for the Carson City unit to be bought down in place of the one they could of gave me. I called back to the dispatch and she said they were reserved before I made my reservation and she had no one to transport it to the Reno location from Carso City, So now I was stuck with a truck that was way smaller then what I needed when it could of been resolved at the other Reno location. When I got home I tried to fit all my stuff into the 20' truck and I was unable too. I had several items and boxes left over that wouldn't fit in the 20'. I tried to rent a 5X8 trailer from your Lincoln CA location but none were available at the time so I was forced to purchase a little utility trailer for $600 dollars for a local person. I was still short room and was forces to give my couches and Livingroom set among a few other things. Then to top off my fabulous experience when I turned it in I was told that the $32 credit for the miss documented fuel recording on the contract couldn't be credited on turn in. Make sure you have all your receipts for equipment so you don't get an email stating your equipment wasn't returned. Turns out my Ubox was misplaced and I didn't get it until the following week. I will have a Yelp review for full story. Dawn C

The computer system is your downfall. It was none functional and even when they called for help the experts couldn’t even help. You should have a paper contract or a way when things stop working to get the customers out the door.

This was my first experience using U boxes, and will be my last. I had reserved two boxes which was the correct amount, but when I went to pick the 2nd box the problems began. The staff was nice, but it took over two hours of sitting in the uhaul store for them to find a box that was in their system that could be rented out. When I returned to the store to drop the box off, they couldn't check me in and the employee said his manager would take care of it and to leave it under the canopy. The day my boxes were supposed to arrive at their destination, I hadn't heard anything from uhaul so I called to locate my boxes. They couldn't tell me where the boxes were, and 3 phone calls later they were finally able to tell me my boxes hadn't even left Reno. Every call I made I was promised a call back, and each time it never happened, even when my call was placed in an elevated status by an employee that she said guaranteed a call within 24 hours. The 2nd guaranteed date of arrival came, and still no boxes at the destination, and once again nobody was able to verify where my boxes were. I did receive a refund of $50/day for my boxes being late, but that didn't include the 2 extra days they were late after the 2nd guaranteed date and is not even close to adequate to compensating the time lost as both myself and moving help had to spend an additional 2 days waiting for the arrival. Once the boxes did arrive, the staff in Helena was very helpful and made sure to call me each day to check on the pickup and make sure things are on track. The process upon arrival was seamless, but everything leading up to that process was a disaster with very little communication from Uhaul except when I initiated the process, and even then I wasn't provided with any answers.

Please call me . I would very much like some answers. I did not agree to safe move insurance but was billed. I requested milage credit for the extreme incovience of loss of time and additional mileage to get the truck at a different location from my advance reservation confirmation. I am very disappointed with Uhaul.

I made the appointment for a pick up for a 28' at one location and they sent me to another and the truck was not available there either. All they had was a 15' which cost me many more additional trips + mileage. Very disappointed in the entire situation.

This store is short staffed, at least on Saturday & Sunday. Too many people in line. Luckily, I booked the truck online, so my wait times were suprisingly minimal...about 20 min, considering that both clerks started working on one customer's problem. Do everything online with a credit card and, all things being equal, the wait times will be minimal checking in and out.

This facility is always slow with a line that they are unapologetic about and do nothing to reduce. In addition the owner lacks all empathy and customer service skills. He is short tempered and negative. His presence at the counter has a negative impact on a already unsatisfying experience. His staff are slow but at least most of them aren’t just rude.

The guy that installed my hitch was nice. I originally scheduled online to have my hitch installed. I was called and had to re-schedule which was not a problem. When I brought my car in I was told it would be approximately 1-2 hours, after 3 hours, no phone call, and sitting on hold for 20 minutes waiting with no one picking up the phone I went in to the location. The two front desk people were rude and acted like it was a pain for them to tell me anything, while sitting in the store waiting for my car to be finished I watched as they acted the same way to all customers, straight up F-you type of attitude. Like I said the guy that actually ended up installing the hitch actually came out and spoke to me politely and was very helpful - front desk people were not helpful or polite.

Our card was charged twice for the service. Customer service is not helpful and tell me to call my bank, bank says that Uhaul needs to refund the charges. Uhaul can refund but won't. The dolly we rented was not in the truck like we were told it was. Service was terrible and i really want my money back. Especially since I was charged twice and it shold be Uhaul to go the extra mile to refund my card.

Your staff was helpful. The loading/unloading area is great, as the cement is raised up and made loading/unloading helpful. Anthony C. helped me and my movers in several ways, once in winter.

The truck ran very good but the gas mileage was terrible. Only 7 mpg. Maybe ought to consider going back to Diesel. Plus the rate was about $500 more than Budget.
