However, the exit experience was disappointing—a 6:58 AM phone call accusing me of not returning the U-Haul without first checking the facts. The truck was back by 7pm, and the keys were in the night drop box. The agent was extremely rude.

I wouldn’t refer my friends to use the facility due to the tidiness and the security alarms don’t serve any purposes. You can still get into your unit without following the proper protocol. The alarm may go off, however, no one is going to show up to make sure your items are secure. I advise you to get the insurance to be on the safe side because your items are not monitored.

It felt like a homeless shelter, there were clearly people living inside as we frequently were asked to let people in that “forgot their code”. Unless you were lucky enough to show up when no one else was moving in/out, there were rarely enough carts.
Ryan M | Overall ExperienceThey are running a scam at this location. They bill you for a dolly and then don’t put it in the truck. If you check it on the lot, they can just say “our mistake.” If you don’t check it in the lot, they bill you $120 to replace the dolly they never put in the truck!

YOUSSOUF MI would recommend checking the doors of the u boxes before delivery. One of them had an extremely difficult lock that we were unable to lock overnight due to the latch being at a different height than where the lock needed to be.

JENNIFER WThe manager acted like he was some thug from the streets. He would walk pass you and wouldn't speak. I rented uhauls and trailers maybe 3 to 4 times a week. Something happen where my card was charged 103 and change then 42 and the manager said he would look into it. He never did. He walked pass me daily and then stop renting me uhauls. He would have a lot full of Uhaul but would say they were all reserved. I stop renting uhauls altogether. Still to this day no reply.

JEFFREY RLike I’ve stated earlier- I think I got a contact high - walled in and all you can smell is weed - no one but the man who helped me load up the car on trailer was helpful no one walked me to truck I was to here is key here is the hand truck match key to the truck in yard - I had to figure out everything myself and my paperwork work had the man’s Cheetos all over it - and the fuel on paper was more that fuel in truck but didn’t notice till I was gone but of the man had walked with me to locate truck he would have caught this and caught that the UHual was dirty on inside

OLIVIA FI am not happy with my Uhaul experience. It's hard to leave a review on a pickup location because my location was changed twice leading up to my pickup. On the day of the move, the location I was sent to didn't even have the 15-foot truck I reserved and my location was changed yet again. I ended up getting the truck an hour later than expected and the location change added 20 miles to my trip. By the end of the move, I was over the limit by ~ 30 miles which I was charged for. It's upsetting to me that I essentially had to pay for these extra miles added to the trip because of the location change initiated by Uhaul on the morning of the move. The pickup experience sucked but the actual location and all personnel I interacted with there were fine.
JACOB HSo I brought the gas in vehicle as close as I could to the mark and I still got charged extra. Also the initial quote in Miles should be what was paid for. I only went over by 12 miles. Simply not enough to charge an extra $40 . I don't appreciate that.
VINCENT RThe staff was very aggressive and rude. I contacted the after hours supervisor. Because when I arrived there was no one in the facility I waited 10 mins. Walked around and even went in the employee area. No one was able to be located. Until I contacted the supervisor who contacted the employees. That's still didn't help because no one was in the facility. I walked outside and noticed and employee. Once I approached her became very aggressive. I simply asked if he worked at the facility. When I was met with anger regarding the fact I reached out to the manager. I tried calling the manager back to make a complaint the phone was hung up every time. The employees name was Wayne and he worked at the Dalton location in contention in Cincinnati OH. This was a very bad instance. My one and only complaint.

WILLIAM GThe system worked well with the pick up in Brooklyn. I was first told that my container was delayed, then told it had arrived in Cincinnati Dalton branch. I spoke to the branch and told them I was organizing a U-Haul third-party crew to pick it up and bring it to my place to unload. The staff at the Location were very unprofessional. The driver/mover called them to organize a pick up for the next day. The day arrived and he was told it was a 24 hour companywide mandate, although he had already called and requested the container be ready. I spoke to the manager and again one of the most unprofessional conversations I’ve ever had. We put it off till the next day and the manager threatened the driver that he would keep the box for the full 24 hours. If I have to do this again, I will definitely not have it land in the downtown Cincinati location on Delton Avenue and I will not recommend to anyone I know. The man should not be dealing with the public.
THOMAS TThe man that checked me out was very rude. He didn't ask me how many miles I would drive just put whatever he wanted. He didn't give me a dolly. I walked outside to check the van it wasn't in there so I had to waste time and go back in and ask gor it. His reply was shit because he had to get up out his chair he was sitting in. Then the last thing was he didn't even explain to me how to drop off the keys after hrs. I had no clue what to do so I just left the keys and left. He needs to be retrained for customer service and how to treat customers. And pull his pants up where his butt isn't hanging out.
VICKI BThe truck rented to me may need service to it, while on the highway once you get to 45mph you start to hear a rattle and the vehicle sways. I didn’t realize this until I was dropping the truck back off, with 15miles of highway to go I was a terrifying experience. Great thing I’m an experienced driver although. Please have an expert explain the sway links/control arms. Still with that, I recommend and appreciate U-Haul.

Gary BThis was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a UHaul or any rental company location. We booked our truck in person and told them it would be a one-way rental that we'd drop off in Chicago multiple times. They kept saying "okay" and gave us the truck without going over any contracts with us. When we dropped off the truck in Chicago, we were charged over $600 for a "wrong location drop off." I keep trying to get in touch with management and customer service and they will not listen to our side of the issues. We feel extremely taken advantage of during a time where we needed the car to help move things for elderly grandparents and I'm seven months pregnant. If this does not get taken care of, I will never use UHaul again and urge everyone who goes to this location to proceed with caution and go over everything many times with the staff as they apparently lack attention to detail and do not listen to their customers.

For this, I was assessed two late fees. I’ve never paid two late fees for being late once for anything in my life, until now. Floor is sticky and it smells, they leave trash everywhere. Staff never answers the phone. They’ll charge you a fee basically every 3 days and they threaten you if you pay late.

When I arrived with my movers to unload into the unit they said they didn't have one, despite me having one reserved. After some considerable time, which I was paying my movers by the hour for, they were able to get me a unit in the basement. Considering I had water damage on a couple of my items. The other issue is that I had a hitch installed around the same time and they screwed it up enough that I had to go back the day I was supposed to tow a trailer to Florida and wait for hours to have it fixed. The staff was friendly and helpful, but also not customer minded or focused.

I like to know these things prior to renting and not when the transaction is made.

Employees weren’t friendly, had an AirPod in one ear, and talked so quietly that I barely knew what I was agreeing to. I requested a 5 x 10 unit and they gave me two 5 x 5s, which presented some difficulties for making my things fit. They also only gave me one lock, so I had to go pay for another one even though it wasn’t my fault I was given two separate storage units. And when I paid for the additional lock, the employee didn’t even hand it to me. I had to go ask another employee to give me one of the locks because I just purchased it and wasn’t given it. The carts for bringing in our stuff to be stored were convenient though and the price wasn’t terrible.
Sarah B | First ImpressionsThe staff was very courteous and helpful upon check-in, but the elevator stopped working mid-move preventing us from accessing our LL storage, and the uhaul staff became irritable as I looked to them for solutions. As a result of the inoperable elevator, I had to pay moving company for the (2-hr) additional and totally unexpected wait time to have the elevator fixed my maintenance. They couldn't find my reservation, then they did, but there were no storage units left of the size that I had reserved. Finally, we got a unit, but when we went to open it up, it was already taken. After that, we got a room, but there was no lock on the room. We put our own lock on, but moments earlier they expressed concern about our type of lock that someone could easily cut it off. They told us to call back this morning, but no one is available on the phone. They have security cameras set up, but I doubt there's anyone available to watch them. There are under staffed, very clearly and there is too much to do for only 2 people.

Anthony R | First ImpressionsI called this facility prior to going in person to explain the situation, the person who answered seemed to be clueless to the "online move in experience" that the website refers to when you sign up. When my brother went to the facility, he stated that he gave them the confirmation # to access my reservation/online move in experience. While completing this move in he stated the staff attempted to sell him a higher monthly rate, a lock, and the insurance. He showed them the lock he had (previous U-Haul lock), he attempted to show them the PDF of my insurance, and he also showed them that the confirmation reflecting the monthly rate along with the free month given. My brother got me moved in. I checked my bank account a few days later. I was charged $68+ I called the facility to resolve the situation and even asked to speak with the person noted (Gary) who was supposed to resolve any issues. Gary explained that he felt my brother had an attitude and expected his staff to know everything from the confirmation/receipt I sent him in PDF form. I let him talk about everything he felt, we as consumers had done wrong. When I attempted to ask questions according to the "virtual move in process" I'd read about, ask for confirmation of my contract, and clear up any misunderstanding he repeatedly interrupted me to tell me how unpleasant my brother was to him and his staff. Without allowing me to ask any questions or understand what we could do to resolve my current issues. I still never received an electronic copy of my contract or access. Nor have I received a confirmation that the $68+ charge was credited back to my account. Instead I was interrupted, phone disconnected, and left feeling confused. This is quite possibly the WORST U-haul experience I have ever had after several interactions, different types of services/products, several locations.
