The staff at this location was helpful, friendly and efficient. The car hauler we rented was well priced (about $75 with insurance for 12 hours) and VERY well designed and easy to load and secure, and tracked, turned and stopped very well. We hauled a Subaru Outback and pulled with an older diesel F250.

I rented a 6 x 12 trailer and two of the tires did not have legal tread one blew late at night out in the country I had to wait by the side of the road for 2.5 hours. Then I rented a car carrier the tires were good but two of the tires one one side were low 30 psi not 65 psi I had to unload my car and fill up the tires before I could tow. The people were good the equipment was shit. I would tell some one to run away fast !!!!

Ridiculous that they won't let their customers use the restroom during the pandemic. This is poor customer service. It doesn't take much for a company to add an additional step in sanitizing for the convenience of their paying customers. Since sanitizing each truck after every rental is standard procedure, this same step can be done for any customer needing to use the restroom. Spraying Lysol on surfaces and letting air dry is not time consuming.

Didn't find out until the morning of the pick-up that the location had changed. No phone call to alert just happened to check e-mail. However, service was great and folks running the location in Fairfield were very friendly and professional.

I wouldn't ask for the driver's information and a second person's information. Why was that needed? We have used other locations, and this has never been required before. Another issue was when we brought the trailer back, the gentlemen who did the inspection wasn't wearing his mask. It was hanging below his chin and he was standing about two feet from us. In the future, I will go to any other uhaul location, even if it means going way out of my way.

Called to tell them I was going to be about an hour after drop off due to my storage being closed, they assured me it was okay because I was worried about fees. They charged me for another day and im just irritated that they dont keep their word.

Install backup cameras on the trucks. If you're alone and have to back it up, it is nerve wracking.

The person who checked my truck in charged me an additional 10,000 miles in error. My credit card was charged $12,000 when I rented the truck for 8 hours and drove 25 miles total. I have to deal with my bank charges (over limit fees) and no one at UHaul cared. They said I had to “take it up with my back” even though it was their error. I'm pissed! I'll never use them again. AND I'll tell everyone I know what scum they are.

Called and Offered an earlier pickup. No mention of additional charge. Lock on the back is broken. I didn't know until I caught a stranger trying to break in. It does not lock. The manager calls me about reporting the vehicular stolen because the employee did not update the file to return 22SEP20 like I asked. Worst experience with U-Haul out of 20+ uses.

The van had unmarked big scratches both sides, exterior wasn't washed, interior was nice and clean. The van (26') was high mileage (192K), and the ride - depending on the road surface- was rough at times with big forward/backward roll/shake, looked like suspension/shocks needs servicing. Note: I walked in for a 20' van without reservation, they seemed to be fairly booked, I was happy to they could accommodate me. Service was excellent and courteous, return was super smooth.

The husband and wife team has always been kind and funny enjoyed the conversations we'd carry on at times I'd purposely go in to pay my storage bill just to stop by and chat. Now the office is down the street and ran by U-hall basically pay by ph. Still great service

The truck was wiped down inside but the out side was dirty, even if you just wash down the cab it would make it look better. no one walked out the truck to look it over and the pictures of the truck were not updated as i took 17 photos of the damage to the trucke and update the system myself.

I was charged 2 days rental for truck, dolly and insurance for a 4 HOUR RENTAL. This is total robbery! I couldn't leave at my scheduled time because their equipment wasn't working correctly. I left 20 minutes after my scheduled time and showed up 20 minutes after and these crooks overcharged me

I reserved a truck approx 2 weeks before the date. I was told that Uhaul would call me the day prior to pick up. I received that call and was told that they did not have one way trucks and would have to drive 75 miles past sacramento to get the truck. I ended up with an in-town truck and had to drive the truck back to Fairfield from Hayward the following day by 9:00am. Uhaul said California has a shortage on one way trucks. Even though i made an early reservation, I received no discount whatsoever for the inconvenience. The woman knew she had the upper hand and asked if I wanted the truck or not. Being that we had to move out that day and movers were set at both ends to help with moving, I could only accept the truck and major inconveniences. To top it off, the truck was nearly empty, which caused me to immediately stop at the gas station. I have been renting Uhaul truck for 8 years and have always been credited for major inconveniences. But the woman at this location would give or offer nothing to me, even though I respectfully asked for a credit. I ended up paying about $80-100 more than expected!!

The manager was incredibly rude and harassed us throughout our rental period. She also lied about our rental period and charged an over mileage fee even though we drove straight through without any detours. The extra mileage? Because we had to rental the truck over 50 miles from our residence as there wasn't one closer to us. That is not our fault nor is it something we could control. But go ahead and charge me. This location does NOT have any customer service skills. I'm amazed it's still open with how rude the manager is.

It was a whole lot better before UHaul took over, I rented a unit in the forst place because it wasn't a huge corporation, it was a local small storage place. UHaul ruined it.
