Great staff very knowledgeable and very friendly and very professional thank you for your service.
Claude TEverything perfect. The only problem was the moving company at Tempe (Gorgees), which was unresponsive. Luckily, another company (P.O.G) had availability. Nevertheless, Uhaul helped us to change it.

Scott M | Overall ExperienceHonestly if it was for ONE WORK at this locations that assisted me in removing the chain that was preventing me from unloading my vehicle I would have given this location a single star. FULL DISCLOSURE, I did not select the option to help with loading n unloading my vehicle. To be remain consistent with this story, did not require assistance in unloading the vehicle. I needed expert assistance in removing the chain that was preventing my vehicle from moving. My BIGGEST ISSUE with this location is that the GM “who was assisting initially” voiced that he would be back to help but never intended to come back. I arrive at the U-HAUL @ 11.45am and did not leave until 12:50 pm. My biggest issue here was the integrity and honesty of this establishment by its GM. Please if you did NOT intend to return do not voice your intent to return to the customer during a helpless situation. One can say “what if he was tending to another customer?” Well he was not as my spouse observed him conversing with a representative while sitting/lounging around. Thank you to the young man to came back after seeing my distress and attempted to help. I ended up lodging.the chain myself and unloaded my vehicle.
FUNMINIYI OThe U haul representative wanted me to enter my email address and cc information into the computer. It was odd. He would turn the keyboard around to me and the computer screen. I have never been asked to do the work for your employee before. He may not need this job if he cannot simply enter names and numbers. Lastly, he didnt tell me where my unit was or how to find it. I asked him, once he gave me the access card, and he said that he put the number on the back. It took me a few minutes to find the map on my floor and finally locate the unit. I did not like this visit.

I have Uber receipt that I was picked up by Uber before 7am after I returned the truck . Times are hard and everyone is paying close attention to what they are being charged for.

James mCustomer service was slow, they don’t care and don’t see any urgency in their work. They were demeaning and rude but you don’t dare hold them responsible when you need the equipment…

LESTER WI had water damage in my unit caused by the facility and ruined a new Queen size bed & mattress, a love seat couch, 3 boxes of personal items, and a bench. I was not compensated for the damaged items because UHaul represented said someone made the toilet overflow, which I still believe my stuff should be safe and secure in my unit I pay monthly for. I was given 3-4 months free rental, but that didn’t come anywhere close to helping with buying all that new furniture. I would not want that to happen to anyone else.

Zoila OIt was just after closing, I knocked on the window and the lady inside just waved at me as she walked away. I was trying to get her attention because I was given wrong code information and couldn’t access the keys to my Uhaul. I had to call and be transferred around to speak with the right person who could get me the correct information so I could access my uhaul. Luckily the lady on the phone was able to help however the lady inside who put the lock on the truck was no help at all.

George MA lot of my stored books, clothing, and furniture were damaged due to heat and humidity. The whole reason I payed for climate controlled storage was that it was allegedly climate controlled. Will not make that mistake again.

Virginia B | Overall ExperienceIn general, this location is the best rental option in central Houston. However, I recommend customers make sure the outside staff checks their equipment in before leaving the facility. For returns, the Shell station on I-10 at Studemont may be more efficient. On my last trailer rental when I dropped the equipment off on a Sunday at 3:30pm , the agent promised to check it in for me ...but he never did. I received a call from U-haul on Monday asking when I intended to return the equipment. It took three different calls and sitting on hold for 20 minutes before this location checked my equipment back in and cleared my account on Tuesday.
JOSHUA CThe service where I rented the truck was amazing. The ladies were kind, courteous and knowledgeable. The unit I rented was AWFUL — It smelled so bad that I had to return it before the job was done and borrow another vehicle. The smell of urine and ammonia inside the cab was one of the worst smells I have ever experienced as a grown adult and I am not a dramatic person. We pulled the seats out to try to find the source but I believe that it was soaked into the seat. I covered the seat with plastic to keep the smell off of my clothing but even with the windows down it was unbearable. I did tell the recipient that it needed to be removed from the fleet until the problem was resolved. The cargo area was in great shape. The smell was in the cab only. Please look into this. This vehicle does not need to be rented to anyone else until this problem is fixed. The next renter might do what I did which was drive off before they realize the smell was coming from inside the vehicle rather than the street. Bad move. Haha.

It made me lost time and increased mils to my driving and the cost of the rental. I did not get any excuse nor discount for their mistake.

SHELEA CThe van was on E when I picked it up. Right after the representative told me it was at 1/4 and that I must bring it back on 1/4. The vehicle smelled like smoke. I had to wait 15 minutes for them to treat it. I will not rent there again.

OSCAR CI never received a final receipt to see what I was actually charged for and the pending amount on my card is higher than expected. Eliminate the bait and switch tactic of making the $15 additional coverage optional during the reservation process but then requiring it to leave with the vehicle. Start providing the vehicle with a full tank and requiring it be returned with a full tank instead of making customers try to guess how much gas it takes to get it back to whatever random amount of gas you provide the vehicle with.
BRETT TThese people, especially the manager, went far out of their way to see to my every need. I couldn't ask for better service. The world would be a much nicer place if everyone did that.

Your person Darcie lied and told me there would be 24/7 on site staff presence in case of problems, but also mentioned that I could call 800 gouhaul, which I did but they had no idea why I was locked out. I texted the manager christian fontanez who was also clueless. Horrible experience I may demand a refund and move out because the this is unacceptable
Alan M | First ImpressionsThe trailer was attached incorrectly, and it came off my hitch about 2 blocks away. The Safety chains worked and prevented the trailer from detaching from my car, but the trailer was bouncing around against my car and i had to get out in the road to reattach it.
ROBERT NI feel scammed by UHAUL as a company not even this location. We were run around. Forced to rent from a different location. Got our rental late and owed our movers more money and owed UHAUL more money bc the location was further. The rental started later. Overall disappointing disaster.

The person I was speaking to was another customer we weren’t together and he knew that. It wasn’t a misunderstanding he’s lazy.

TODD TI would not recommend UHaul for storage because I got water damage in my unit which came from the facility’s restroom. The insurance did not cover water damage-go figure! U-Haul would not reimburse me for my damaged items (3 month old Q mattress, Q size bed, boxes with kitchen/bathroom items, and a rug). They gave me the corporate run-around, but did tell me they could not reimburse me. It was a nightmare, and I never was reimbursed because the corporate representative just brushed me off and never followed up.

CLINT G | Overall ExperienceI have used and recommended this location to friends and family. My last experience wasn’t good. The truck I picked up had .5 gallon of gas. Empty. I had to go straight to gas station to prevent running out with a loading dock reserved and man power by the hour in the clock. The gas downtown is expensive and the money U-Haul provides to compensate doesn’t cover the cost of gas downtown. I sure hope this isn’t a new management strategy to pass on costs to the customer! Disappointed!
CHAD WWas a great place to store items if you live nearby. I felt that the facility was safe from theft. Over the course of having a unit here for almost 2 years, I feel that the quality/friendliness of the staff has gone downhill in ther last year. There is a lack of enthusiasm for help/support when asking questions. Everyone seems rude and lazy when in the office, as if they are only there to collect a paycheck. It was like pulling teeth to get a definitive answer when asking a question. Often times employees would not know an answer when asked a question and would refer you to call the property manager. Based on the customer experience and lack of moving carts at this facility, I decided to not rent here again. I would rather spend my money on storage where the customer is treated fairly and service is a priority.

I was never told that I had to be there in person upon moveout. Overall a not so good experience. The manager Rudy was pleasant and helpful via phone.

I called the insurance company who covered my unit and they do not cover water damage even when it was not my fault. U-Haul neglected to reimburse me for my lost items and gave me the run-around for over 2 months until they just stopped calling me back and did not respond to my messages. To say the least, this huge business could not find it in themselves to give me at least half the amount to help me recover the furniture we lost although I have paid my rental every month and have been a repeated customer. I suppose the $500.00 I was asking, which wouldn’t have even pay for all of our damages. I suppose the $500 would have broke the company UHaul! I am very displeased to the point to where my family & I will never use UHsul again and we will all spread the word of this situation-you do not take care of your customers! I never have enough time to go after work so I have to get up at 4am in order to get into my unit. I don’t know why access hours can’t be 24/7 like they used to be everywhere. Other than that I have absolutely no complaints.

Crystal initially set up my storage unit, but upon looking at it I needed to get a larger one so Ahsha helped me get that set up and helped me get access to the 3rd floor to get some items from the smaller unit that I had left and could not get to that floor after switching to a larger unit. She offered me a bottle of water as I was sweating due to the heat. I am a little concerned there are no flat bottom open carts available so I will have to just purchase my own cart for this location. The cubesmart where my items are stored now has 4 flat bottom carts (like you see at Home Depot or Lowes) and is very helpful when grabbing items in and out of the storage unit

The one issue I had with the location is that there seems to be a shortage of carts. The location has a homeless problem where they enter the facility and walk off with the equipment.

I would say 90% of the time, there were no carts available (I ended up bringing my own every visit, which just took up space in my vehicle). I am not sure it was because people weren't returning them, as I never saw loose ones on the storage floors. And when I went - which was very early in the morning - there was no one else there who could be using carts. There just weren't any carts made available. Major inconvenience.

Of a more minor concern is the confusion of what a "10 x 20 x 10" is - two separate 10 x 10 x 10 units. This would have been good to know. Also, instead of indicating that two separate rooms are "5300-01," it would have been easier to understand if they were described as rooms 5300 and 5301.

I don’t like the fact that my movers, because I didn’t have a U-Haul truck couldn’t come in and had to unload from the street which took forever. Also, it took an additional hour to unload all of my stuff and get it to the 3rd floor because there was only one working elevator and 5 other people moving. Have 2 working elevators would’ve saved me money on my movers that were being paid by the hour. The building was clean but not properly maintained in my opinion for the elevators not fully functioning.

You can tell right from the jump she's goes above and beyond for her customers and if it's possible to do something she will do it with no problem and with a smile on her face. It's rare to come across people with customer service as genuine as hers so this was definitely a pleasant experience. And the brief interactions I had with the staff along the way while loading my storage were just as pleasant. I give this location a 10 out of 10 across the board!!!

I had to ask the lady in the office and discovered that I needed a remote to get in and out. The elevator gave me some trouble? I had to log in and out at least 3 or 4 times. Some young people riding on 3 wheelers were blocking parking to the office and were being disruptive! Not a good idea to let them hang out in the parking area, not professional! Not safe!
