I’ve had a storage unit here for quite a while, so I’ve been able to really see how the experience has changed over time. When I first started using this location, the staff was incredibly helpful and approachable. There were always carts available, and overall the place felt well managed and welcoming. Over time, though, the experience has definitely shifted. The last few times I’ve come in, the staff felt noticeably colder and less friendly. On my most recent visit, one employee sat at the desk staring at the computer and avoided eye contact entirely without greeting me, while another staff member spoke to me very bluntly. Once they warmed up a little, they were actually pretty cool, but the initial interaction felt unwelcoming. One major issue that really needs attention is the lack of carts. Apparently people are taking them and keeping them inside their storage units because there aren’t enough available. I came to move out and there were no carts at all. When I asked about it, I was basically told, “We just don’t have them right now.” That’s a pretty frustrating thing to hear when you’re literally trying to move items out of storage. Am I supposed to bring my own cart to a storage facility? To their credit, they did offer me a dolly free of charge, which I appreciated. But the cart issue clearly needs a better system, whether that’s trackers, penalties, or more oversight. Overall, it’s not a terrible place, and I’ve definitely had some very positive experiences there in the past. But it does feel like the customer experience and management culture have changed over time, and not necessarily for the better.
