This provider is either inept or unethical. I traveled 24.2 miles but was charged for 45 miles. I added over two gallons of fuel. The dealer charged me for an additional 4 gallons. The Indiana rental tax is 4%. Indianapolis charges an additional 6%. This does not add up to the excise tax that was charged. I would never use this dealer again.PETER M.

We never used the truck and you charged me . I tried to call but it said the wait was over an hour you need to contact me for a full refund. You charged me $86.34 and the truck never moved checks the mileage! The keys were not where you said they would be. Call me at (317) 397-9047 ASAPAntoine W.
The truck was ready to go and was in great condition. When I returned the truck, the person checking me in found that I had left a water bottle in the truck and gave it back to me. I really appreciated that! The mobile checkin and return process was good.Jeremiah M.
There were a few issues I ran into that still have not been resolved. The truck was clean and the people working there were nice. However, we realized on our way home that a headlight was out. We were late getting to an event because we had to wait over an hour for someone to come replace it. The tow dolly had not arrived and we were informed this by this location. We were not told by the other location we were supposed to pick it up at. Luckily it showed up later that day but at an entirely different location 30 minutes away from us. Then, on the trip across the country we were dealing with a tire that kept going flat. I have reported all of this and nothing has been resolved yet.Mackinsey T.

I booked my appointment in castelton and for some reason it sent me to downtown Indy. Therefore, I went over my miles booked, and was charged extra :) The Castelton location called me when I was already moved in and on the road, 3 hours later and asked if I was coming to pick up my truck. I've done uhaul twice this year and both times something seems to go wrong, you can pretty much count on that.JOSEPH K.

I received a call regarding my Uhaul because I was not there to pick it up at the time I originally planned. I provided a new time and then got a call an hour later asking me if I was going to keep my reservation. The person that I spoke with earlier in the day did not note that I changed the time. it was brought to my attention that if the Uhaul is not picked up with an hour of the reserved time it is cancelled. I reserved the Uhaul for 16 hours. When my husband went to pick up the Uhaul that had it down as 4 hours, although the reservation clearly stated 11 hours. The situation was quickly rectified.JOHN G.
I had a difficult time securing my lock. The bar that was supposed to slide to the right was tight and I couldn't fully lock my unit. (Even when padlocked, the unit was not secure. ) It all worked out anyway. There was no evidence of tampering. This facility was conveniently located to the spot where I needed to move my boxes. My previous encounters with Uhaul customer service have historically not been great. However, we were greeted with an entirely different attitude when we entered the Illinois st uhaul location. Both us and the other couple in the office had been dealing with stressful moving situations. Kara did everything in her power to improve our afternoons. She handled the truck shortage that has been occurring this weekend with transparency and grace. I am super grateful to have been helped by Kara today, and can not thank her enough!ARMANDO S.

When I called customer service, they tried their best to blame me but I was told by the person at the desk she hadn't rented a truck out in months, There never was a truck. I turn my truck in early never got a receipt to my email or to my phone I called and I was told that I was charged for gas which my truck first truck I had was on a full tank my second truck was on a half a tank and I returned it on a half a tank and I still was charged $13 extra for gas so I'm going to go up there and get my printed receipt since I couldn't get an emailTAWANA P.

To whom it may concern: I am writing regarding several concerns with my recent rental from this particular UHaul location. First, I'm accustomed to staff doing a walk through of the equipment to confirm and document any known issues. The person at this location did not do a walk through of the vehicle prior to my leaving with the vehicle. Also, I had to walk a considerable distance to take possession of the vehicle. I believe the van should've already been moved up front. Besides that, an most importantly, I believe I should have been charged for two days and not three. I did have an unexpected issue and had to extend my rental. I had the van for two rental periods, not three. A rental period is upwards of 24 hours for the day. I did not have this van for 72 hours. Also, I rejected the damage waiver and yet now it's showing up in my final receipt. If you look at my initial receipt, it shows I rejected the damage waiver. Lastly, I would like to see the photo I submitted upon returning the van because the mileage being reported seems contrary to what I remember. The difference is minimal, at best, but I would like to confirm mileage for my peace of mind. I also show a charge of $134.10 and a charge of $70.09. I'm hoping the $70.09 fall off of pending. At this time I am requesting the following: - Days adjusted from 3 days to 2 day - Damage waiver removed since not selected - Mileage confirmed Please provide assistance with my request. Apparently the equipment was overbooked and I was narrowly able to get a truck. I can't imagine what I would have done if I were told I had no truck for my move. Also, the reservation calendar on the home page defaults to next month but this month's current day. For example, right now it is defaulted to 07/28/2021 even though it is 06/28/21. This is confusing. No other hotel, airline, rental car, etc website does that. Default to today to avoid incorrect bookings.GRANT Y.

The vehicle did not have any of the added items we requested and the key lock was not where the online checkin said it would be. No one told us where to find the key. We just got lucky and figured it out. We secured a reservation for the truck online. And it was like a Seinfeld episode when we arrived to pick it up. The truck was not at the site where we reserved. The person working said â€¦.well you requested a truck but that does not assure you of a truck. That is not what my email confirm said. We were then told to call the 800 number. I suggest you do that and after 30 minutes of being on hold decide if you really think uhaul cares about customer service. We had to call the 800 number three times and had to wait over 30 minutes each time. We finally got a truck 30 hours after the original promised pick up time. At a pickup location that was a huge inconvenience. Finally, I want to share my favorite part. When we did get through to customer services the first time. They said it was one of the busiest moving weekends of the year and although we reserved a truck for May 29th she could not get one for us until Monday May 31.Zechariah M.
